Up to now the USA and Europe had strict standards for corruption. The USA and Europe required corruption by any trading partner to be cleared up before they could be introduced into the economic trade.

Trump is learning his level of racketeering and corruption from some of the best autocrats in the business and he is passing it along to the American people in the way of propaganda campaigns. It won't be long before the USA trading partners will be demanding the USA clean up it's act when it comes to trade and the Trump tariffs won't mean a thing.

Previous to the vote Trump is using OUR TAX DOLLARS to pay for his propagandized corruption scheme.

There is something uniquely unsettling about watching a political ad during football glorifying Donald Trump and then seeing five words appear at the end:

Paid for by the U.S. Government.

That means you. Me. Us.

Last week, the Trump administration began buying commercial television airtime for a series of slickly produced advertisements centered overwhelmingly on Donald Trump. They are running on national television and cable, including some of the most valuable real estate in American media: football. By Friday, tracked spending on the first ad alone had reached at least $443,000.

The White House calls them “public service announcements” but what they are is state run propaganda paid for by taxpayers, Nazi style.

So, Bennie, how is the holy war coming?

Trump is attempting to look like a peacemaker while we all know he simply wants to kill everything insight. Is that what you two have in mind? That isn’t going over well with the rest of us.

The northeastern inundation is due to the climate crisis. When I look at the visuals about the northeast I see an ocean that has risen without retreat. The ocean is high and well over its usual height. The coastal erosion is nothing like I have ever seen before. The barrier island communities are isolated. The only option is air or ship evacuation. The Coast Guard is their emergency responders. 

What is it going to take for human beings to welcome the knowledge and wisdom that has been lectured at governments for decades about the climate crisis? This isn’t going away.

The ocean is claiming the land. Waves are washing in and bouncing off landfall. The tide then rolls back toward open ocean without resolving its energy. The incoming tide rides over top of the retreating wave. The ocean is literally sloshing back and forth without resolving the energy in the waves. It is wind driven height. The waves are being pushed to unprecedented heights.

My understanding is the storm will stall. That means the northeast will be receiving not only enormous wave and water heights but unresolved energy in those waves. Days of high energy water results in a lot of damage.

The Supreme Court (click here) revived a controversial voter-citizenship database less than two months ahead of the midterm elections. In the ruling, the court sided with the Trump administration, which is seeking to use the Department of Homeland Security’s SAVE database to review state voter rolls for potential noncitizens....

I think it should and can be dismantled. It interferes with the Social Security Administration and the delicate personal information of the entire population of the USA, including children.

What is the SAVE Database?

Original Purpose: SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) is a 40-year-old federal data system run by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, originally built to check immigration status for public benefits.
Recent Changes: The Department of Homeland Security overhauled the system to link it with Social Security Administration records and allow bulk queries. States were encouraged to upload entire voter rolls to check for citizenship and deceased individuals. [1]
Legal Battles: A lower federal court blocked the modified program in June, ruling that bulk data sharing violated privacy and administrative laws.
Supreme Court Action: The Supreme Court stayed that block, allowing the administration to resume using the database to review voter rolls ahead of elections. Critics and voting rights advocates raise concerns over privacy risks and potential errors that could mistakenly flag eligible citizens.

It is called racketeering.

...In 1931, (click here) Hitler’s half-niece Geli Raubal, then 23 years old, was found dead in his Munich apartment, where she lived, from a gunshot wound to her lungs. According to official accounts, Hitler’s servant discovered her body sometime on September 19. Hitler was a leading suspect, not least because his own Walther pistol was the murder weapon, but he had a strong alibi: The ascendant far-right extremist was away that day in Nuremberg. For decades, the police report’s classification of Raubal’s death as a suicide—though questioned even at the time—has stood unchallenged in the absence of any other plausible explanation.

Now, recent research, first reported by the German outlet Der Spiegel, appears to shed new light on the case. Harald Sandner, a German historian, tells the Telegraph’s Jörg Luyken that he has found a “crushing mass” of evidentiary details that “completely contradict the official, 95-year-old narrative put forward by the Bavarian judiciary” and the Nazi Party.

In Munich’s archives, Sandner found two death notices and an official entry in the local death register that change the timeline of Rabaul’s death. They show that her body was recovered by police on the morning of September 18, when Hitler was known to still be in Munich.

The discrepancies may have been deliberate. In the days following Raubal’s death, a Munich newspaper reported that Nazi officials had met to strategize how to share the news publicly, according to the Telegraph. Hitler was gaining momentum as a political force with the party, and bad press threatened to derail his rise. Adding to their concerns were allegations that he and his half-niece had been arguing intensely in the days before her death, and that her corpse exhibited other injuries, such as a shattered nose.

Sandner believes that the outcome of these meetings was to provide an alibi for Hitler by fudging dates and times in the public record. If true, the plan succeeded.

“For generations, people simply copied this version off each other,” Sandner tells the London Times’ Oliver Moody. “My research exposes this document as a historical work of deception and shows precisely 62 mistakes, lies and deliberate manipulations by [officials] in the justice system and functionaries who were close to the Nazi Party, to formally conclude the case in Hitler’s favor.”

Hitler’s relationship with his half-niece has long been the subject of speculation. She moved to Munich in 1927, and into his apartment in 1929. That Hitler wielded obsessive control over Raubal is well documented, and something that even family members have spoken about directly.

“When I visited Berlin in 1931, the family was in trouble,” William Stuart-Houston, Hitler’s nephew, wrote in a 1939 article quoted in the Guardian in 2017. “Everyone knew that Hitler and she had long been intimate and that she had been expecting a child—a fact that enraged Hitler.”...

So, let me get this right.

Representative Massie is expressing a sane human understanding of what will occur with Trump in stating, "...his comeuppance will happen on Election Day...". The problem is Trump has no conscience. So, when Massie believes there will a rude awakening on Election Day he is expressing feelings he himself did feel when he lost the GOP primary. Trump will never experience those feelings, hence, will never change (as exhibited by his life in general) when any reality of his lack of power and influence is exhibited anywhere. Thank you, Representative Massie for believing there is hope for Trump in your statements, but, with all due respect those statements only demonstrate the GOP does not know Trump.

Representative Massie put articles of impeachment on the floor of the House to remove Hegseth from causing more damage in the world. I believe it was an honest attempt by an exiting Congressman. 

But,

Then loyalist Johnson prevented a vote from occurring which definitely would have passed by dismissing the House a day early. The Republicans will go home and attempt to maintain their majority. If they do, this impeachment will never occur in the following term of the USA House.

If that isn't bad enough, Trump has refused the Ceasefire (not peace treaty) with Iran. That means this administration intends to continue to kill after returning to the next term of Congress. Trump has stated the bombing will cease for now by his own choice but will begin again after the midterm elections. That means the day after the votes aree registered Trump begins his angry demands for recounts and them begins killing again. That means the USA military is still in the hands of an incompetent. That means there will be more USA causalities both from attacks on bases in the Middle East and accidents that continue to plague the chronic state of emergency the military finds itself in for no damn reason.

The terms of the ceasefire by Iran are more reasonable than anyone would ever expect. Iran was willing to open the Strait of Hormuz during the ceasefire. Trump stated it was unreasonable. Trump wants to continue to starve the Iranian people in hopes they will rebel and kill off their leadership. That won't happen. People are leaving Iran to return to Afghanistan with wives and girls in tow. Additionally, Iranians have faced starvation before under the Shah. Suffering is not new to that nation of people. They also believe in their faith. They will not submit to starvation or misery. At this point they are so aggrieved for no good reason and knowing Netanyahu is on a rampage they will never submit to colonialism.

I believe Oman is working hard with Iran to bring about a ceasefire and ultimately a peace treaty, but, Trump doesn't regard any of Oman's actions as desirable. 

Trump and Netanyahu want their holy war and the actions of Johnson in preventing an impeachment vote only means there will be a continuation of the same tactics after the elections that occurred before. 

The Shi'ite Crescent is attacking the Sunni countries as is Iran. One has to wonder what occurs when the Sunni Muslims figure out the best route for them is to join Iran and stand against Israel and the USA?

That won't happen? 

Because of a golf contest?

Really?

Stopping drug boats is the job of the USA Coast Guard, not the USA military.

The Coast Guard has been doing this since there were boats to chase and drugs to apprehend. The point is those opposing Trump need to take on this issue. It isn't as though anyone in the country wants to have street drugs effecting innocent lives, but, there are bigger problems domestically without proper address by the federal government.

Methamphetamines and Hash Hish are domestic issues. I would think addressing the illegal manufacture of Hash Hish (AKA Hash) would be a concern of the newly minted legal Marijuana industry. Those WITH READABLE AND TRASNPARENT POLICIES AND PROGRAMS may even get financial backing for their elections.

Narcan is vital to saving lives, however, there is nothing like preventing the danger in the first place. The video at the click below is from 2024.

Washington (AP) - The U.S. military (click here) attacked a boat suspected of being used to smuggle drugs in the Caribbean Sea on Saturday, killing four people, as the Trump administration continues its monthslong campaign against alleged traffickers in Latin America.

The latest attack brings the number of people who have been killed in boat strikes by the U.S. military to at least 231 in 69 strikes since the Trump administration began targeting those it calls “narcoterrorists” almost a year ago. As with most of the military’s statements on strikes in the eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, U.S. Southern Command said it targeted the alleged drug traffickers along known smuggling routes.

The military did not provide evidence that the vessel was ferrying drugs. A video posted on X showed an image of what appeared to be a moving boat followed by a flash....

They haven't given it a name?

The Governors involved should feel free to name the storm. It is easier in the long run for people to remember such trauma with a name and relay it to efforts to rebuild later. 

Not terribly long ago Superstorm Sandy came to visit resulting in very similar damage. The then President Obama would ride in a helicopter with the former Governor Chris Christi touring the aftermath. Trump simply doesn't want photos with Democratic Governors and that is why it is easier to ignore it and let others deal with the damage. FEMA should already be engaged. The Coast Guard needs to be saving lives when the wind allows it and the seas won't over turn their boats.

Power outages incoming: Wind picked up across the region late yesterday and will peak through Saturday night. Gusts could top out at 50 mph for the New York City metro area and 60 mph near Boston — strong enough to topple trees and knock down power lines.

Battered shorelines: Tides are rising around Saturday’s full moon, worsening coastal flooding. Areas close to the water in New Jersey and the New York City area could see up to 3 feet of inundation. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani issued a travel advisory due to flooding concerns....

It's the Holy War. With Trump has his minion what possibly could go wrong?

Trump is a coward confronting ONLY countries too weak to have a defense against the USA military. He doesn't confront any of the powers he distains. Why? Because a global alliance would result in wars Trump cannot win. He is causing a great deal of problems internationally that results in deaths and/or impoverishment and/or illness and disability. Why is this tolerated? 

The ICC was established to bring strongmen to answer for their crimes. Trump is one of them. It isn't working. Why?

Strong institutes require strong resolve.

In the face of mounting global attacks (click here) on the International Criminal Court (ICC), 58 NGOs are calling on the European Union to take urgent and decisive action to defend the Court and uphold the international rules-based order....

These are the red lines. They are enforced by foreign policy that results in war if the red lines are crossed. This is how international norms are enforced. There is no civil remedy, only war that would no doubt slaughter millions of people with nuclear confrontation.

Trump's great friendship with Xi is a smokescreen for what he actually plans for China.

The International Criminal Court has a lot of work to do. Arrests, bail hearings, setting limits. If China took it's demands for a peace with the USA to the ICC to indemnify the terms and definitions, at first breath of a breach Trump could be arrested.

Lashing out at his country’s critics (click here), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu angrily dismissed allegations of Israeli genocide in Gaza as “the biggest lie of the century” in a defiant speech to the U.N. General Assembly that asserted his nation’s right to wage war against Iran. Scores of delegates trooped out of the hall in protest.

Netanyahu addressed the plenum after days of speeches by world leaders condemning Israel’s war in Gaza and accusing him of orchestrating a genocide against the Palestinian people. At times, the Israeli leader, facing a tough race for re-election next month, became emotional and indignant as he lectured his critics, among them New York’s mayor.

Netanyahu, his voice rising in emphasis, said attacking Iran “was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever had to make” and denounced as “moral cowards” a mass of delegates who walked out of the hall when he took the podium to speak.

Israel's attacks killed more than 73,000 people in the Palestinian enclave since October 2023, mostly women and children. It displaced virtually the entire population and damaged or destroyed most of its buildings.

Inside the General Assembly, dozens of envoys from across the world walked out as Netanyahu began his speech....

The arrest warrant for Netanyahu dates from 2024. The unwillingness by the United Nations to arrest those indicted at the International Criminal Court is a pretense that human rights criminals can still hold power in the face of their crimes. The United Nations wants all leaders to come to the General Assembly. That is reasonable and understandable. The question is why allow the ICC to be meaningless when every country on Earth has representatives present to witness international law at work? An arrest warrant at the ICC is becoming a symbol of tolerated brutality and not a work of justice. It isn't right. Arrests can be made and trials can go forward. That is justice. Ignoring the process and without setting bail for those arrested is symbolic of how the world WISHES international laws work. 

How many international laws has Hegseth broke? Yet, the Republicans are standing behind all that criminality. How many people have been tortured because Trump deported them to dangerous lands and prisons? 

I think the United Nations, while understanding diplomatic immunity, is abusing the definition of that immunity. Possibly for the sake of dues payments. The Dues payments lie with the people of the country who are suffering under leadership violating international laws. Dues are taken hostage to diminish the importance of the UN's work and the international agencies and institutions that was supposed to stop the next Hitler.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani (click here) hit back at Benjamin Netanyahu's criticism of him at the U.N. General Assembly Thursday, saying that "no lie" will alter the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant for the Israeli prime minister.

"As he has done time and again, Prime Minister Netanyahu used his speech to repeat baseless lies meant to sanitize his genocide of Palestinians," Mamdani said in a statement.

"Yet no lie can change the fact that he remains the subject of an International Criminal Court arrest warrant alleging war crimes and crimes against humanity."

Ahead of Netanyahu's visit, Mamdani urged his arrest, saying the U.S. should honor a warrant for Netanyahu issued by the International Criminal Court in late 2024.....

The Republicans want this war. Netanyahu is the reason. The Republicans are biding their time until they can institute a draft and expand the war in the Middle East.

The Republican-led Senate on Thursday (click here) defeated a resolution to remove U.S. forces from hostilities with Iran, in a vote forced by Democrats seeking to highlight fallout from the war in their bid to win back control of Congress.

The resolution failed by a vote of 49 to 50.

The vote came as more Republicans have begun to distance themselves from President Trump over the war, even as others in the party have continued to support it.

Among those speaking out in recent days is Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, who is in a tight race for an open Senate seat in her state. In a social media post this week, Hinson wrote, "Iowans are being squeezed and shouldn't have to foot the bill at the pump or the checkout line for the war in Iran."...

I dare anyone to tell me any of these people changed the winner of an election.

I do not take voter fraud lightly, but, even after the arrests the elections they participated in were not decided by their vote.

Twelve people out of 20 arrested and charged and the rest of us have to jump through hoops in order to maintain our registration and vote. This is not necessary!

Trump is so paranoid over the voting in the next election he is demanding the Supreme Court approve the exiting of people his administration states should be deported. Any Cuban in this country has special status (click here). The Trump ICE agents picked up a Cuban national in the USA and immediately sent him into a country's prison I have never heard of and neither did the Cuban. It is way out of hand.

The Boston-based First US Circuit Court of Appeals (click here) largely upheld an earlier ruling by District Judge Brian Murphy, who found that the Department of Homeland Security’s procedure was unlawful.

According to Reuters, the unanimous decision, delivered on September 18, represents a significant setback for President Donald Trump’s wider immigration crackdown.

The administration has increasingly relied on agreements with African governments to receive people who are not citizens of those countries and, in some cases, have no previous connection to them.

That is inflammatory rhetoric (click here) that sets everyone's hair on fire. There is only one thing that describes I find it disgusting. The war with Iran was completely unprovoked and now Trump is playing games with ideology he doesn't understand and trivializes. 

Iran was brave in taking the stage. The country does not cower at Trump's empty diplomacy or words of hate. Iran has the higher moral ground. Iran has a right to defend itself.

When realizing the vicious attacks that have occurred by the USA over time of the Shia the method of the diaspora/crescent is correct. The Crescent protects them. The Shia Crescent allows the Shi'ites to be dispersed and protected by a larger area and living among others of different faith. I guess the proper way of thinking about that now is that the Crescent did protect them through diverse living among other faiths. I believe the the people of the Shia Crescent now believes they are no longer safe and peace is a danger.

It is wrong to hate the Shi'ites. It is wrong to hate their lineage. If Israel ever had a goal of expansion for the sake of their own safety, it is now being met by those they sought to displace and a religion they sought to destroy.

The US Air Force (click here) is shutting down a major research centre dedicated to open-source analysis of the Chinese military’s air, space, cyber and missile capabilities.

The China Aerospace Studies Institute (CASI) said in a statement on Tuesday that Air University, the US Air Force institution under which it operates, had decided to close the institute, with all of its roles becoming unfunded from October 1.

CASI said its employees would continue to work and get paid for now and that it expected to honour its existing commitments “through at least March of 2027”....

WASHINGTON — The Air Force has revealed (click here) that the service will achieve a years-long goal of producing 1,500 pilots annually, a target that officials say is critical to reduce a shortfall of over 2,000 aviators.

But even if the Air Force can keep up that tempo for the foreseeable future, it will be “quite some time” until the service’s pilot shortage is resolved, the Air Force’s top training officer said Sept. 15.

“I can’t erase that pilot deficit in a short period of time,” Lt. Gen. Clark Quinn, the head of Air Education and Training Command, said in a roundtable with reporters on the sidelines of the Air & Space Forces Association conference.

Predicting how long it would take to make up the existing shortage is complicated by unpredictable retention rates driven in large part by fluctuating economic conditions, Quinn reasoned. Additionally, most of the current pilot shortfall is in staff positions, held by people well into their careers. That means replenishing those positions will take a considerable amount of time.

“It’s going to take 15 or 20 years to get those types of people. I can make them today, but those jobs won’t be filled for quite some time,” the general said. “I do know that if we don’t make 1,500, we’re never going to get that number down.”...

Good for Governor Pritzker. 

GLP-1 is a bit of a miracle drug. It really does effect the A1c and bring it into more normal ranges. But, the weight loss is not guaranteed and it did not happen by itself because Gov was on an injectable medication. Governor Pritzker applied the education given to him by his doctor and nurses and addressed the weight problem and he won. It is not easy to do even with GLP-1 and I congratulate him.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (click here) Monday that he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes two years ago and began taking a GLP-1 medication, resulting in an 80-pound weight loss that he says has transformed his health and daily life.

The disclosure marks the first time the Democrat has publicly disclosed that he has diabetes, as well as officially acknowledging that he is on GLP-1 medication, which is prescribed both for diabetes treatment and weight loss. The governor told CBS News he started taking the medication after doctors warned that he would likely need insulin for the rest of his life....

The First Amendment is NOT a priviledge.

Trump is always trying to move the goal posts.

A number of President Trump’s recent actions, including cryptocurrency transactions, real estate deals, and interactions with foreign officials, have raised legal questions related to the Constitution’s Foreign and Domestic Emoluments Clauses. Congress can protect the public from these abuses by passing new legislation that fully implements the clauses’ prohibitions....

Trump is acting to limit competition and remove the truth from media content. This is very dangerous and it needs to stop now.

Antitrust laws (click here) are designed to boost competition by forbidding monopolies and similar concentrations of business ownership, as well as practices such as price fixing that are associated with them. Probably the most famous federal antitrust laws are the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890 and the Clayton Antitrust Act of 1914. In the media industry, antitrust restrictions on ownership interact in distinctive ways with the constitutional right to freedom of speech.

The First Amendment of the Constitution prevents restraints on the freedom of the press. This principle has spurred the vision of a "marketplace of ideas," in which a diverse range of opinions can compete for public attention and help sustain a healthy democracy. If a handful of people or entities control most of the media, this could undermine the marketplace of ideas. The goals of the First Amendment thus align to some extent with the goals of antitrust law. For example, in a 1945 decision involving the Associated Press, the Supreme Court determined that the Sherman Act prevented the AP from imposing limits on new members and forbidding AP members from selling AP news to non-members. The Court argued that this result protected the marketplace of ideas....

This is what happens when Congress doesn't do it's job.

Trump has no right to assault the press corp. It is the right of the people to have the truth! This is an assault on freedom, the press, the truth, and the American people. It is an emergency and cannot be tolerated.

The outlook centers on ongoing contention over media access and the administration’s approach to reporting.

The country needs to know what is going on with it's military, not a mentally deranged president.

This is an emergency for the country. The media outlets need to take it to the Supreme Court in an emergency measure to return normal functioning of the country.

Constitutional Protection

The First Amendment: Ratified in 1791, the First Amendment explicitly states that Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of the press.

Prior Restraint: The Supreme Court heavily restricts "prior restraint," which is when the government tries to censor or stop information from being published beforehand. Landmark rulings like New York Times Co. v. United States (1971) established a heavy legal presumption against government censorship

Ellsberg was exactly correct. This is out government. It does not belong to an executive branch or legislative branch or judicial branch. 

Power hungry and corrupt is not the interest of the American people. We are a peaceful people with incredible power in the world to render other people healthy and at peace when our national character is actually demonstrated by the President of the United States. Trump has hijacked the power of the people of this country and has caused enormous pain in the world. This is still anothere is a coward and scared man who will do anything to possess the power of this country. ENOUGH!

The United Nations General Assembly is being conducted. It would be good if the people of the USA listened to the pain Trump has caused the entire world.

The sun set on Washington, D.C. (click here) The year was 1971. Not daring to turn lights on, the researcher stood cloaked in darkness, listening to the rhythmic hum of the photocopier. He fed pages and pages of classified documents into the machine as the night wore on.

Daniel Ellsberg copied more than 7000 pages of documents that revealed the history of the government’s actions in the Vietnam War. They exposed government knowledge that the war would cost more lives than the public was being told, and that the war was being escalated even as the President had said it was close to ending. They would become known as the “Pentagon Papers.”

Ellsberg believed that Americans needed to know what was in the reports, and decided to make the Pentagon Papers public. To achieve his goal, he broke several laws. He gave copies to the New York Times, which began printing excerpts from the documents on June 13, 1971. The government immediately obtained a court order preventing the Times from printing more of the documents, arguing that publishing the material threatened national security. This was the first time in American history that the government had successfully ordered a prior restraint (an order that news be censored ahead of publication) on national security grounds. Historically, prior restraint has been considered the most serious form of censorship....

IT would be best if all the media stood together and brought about awareness of the unconstitutional behavior of the president. The legislature is tolerating this and it is just as unconstitutional as the acts of a deranged president.

It is what Kushner does best. He goes into a country as a diplomat and proceeds to look for money. He finds a vulnerable stash and takes it. It is how he reaped millions if not more from the Saudis.

The Trump family is in every embassy and they are perusing the landscape for wealth, property, etc. The Trumps state they are improving a country’s economy, but, they are doing it by introducing their own luxury hotels and casinos. 

Sorry, folks, but it is racketeering. Trump is doing the same thing to Washington, DC while looking for antiquities and artifacts. 

Jean Pirro is the prosecutor letting Trump get away with it. She is as guilty as he is for allowing.

There will never be an inventory of all the historical artifacts removed from the East Wing. The historical society is the best source for determining missing artifacts.

The Supreme Court authorized the ballroom for the security of the president. It didn't matter there was a bunker already at the White House. So, from here on Trump LEARNED if he disguises his desires wrapped in security concerns he gets his way.

Sorry, but, the National Mall does not need sharp shooters on top of a 250 foot arch with an eternal flame on top. That is an intimidation of the public. There are already sharp shooters on the roof of the White House. The SS is now asking to move more of the property of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue out of the public realm into a security profile. 

All this taking of property is an outrageous infringement on the American and visiting public. Trump has created hell everywhere in Washington, DC. As a result of the hatred the public has for him he is working as fast as he can to achieve all sorts of goals based in his security. All that expense and grandeur will disappear when he is gone.

President Donald Trump (click here) said in a Sunday Truth Social post that he would convert plans for the D.C.-area “Triumphal Arch” to “a top grade Military Complex/Triumphal Arch” at the request of the U.S. military for national security purposes.

The new plan, he said, is to “house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus Snipers, on both the roof and plaza areas, and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage.”...

I simply love this Op-Ed. It is America. Literally. In every way. It is who we are.

The Main Stream Media is living history. Their archives are priceless. It doesn't matter the newsprint, they were editors and journalists with facts, morals, ethics, opinions, and the truth in their hearts with writing to reach their readers.

I have always relied on newsprint to deliver the facts and insight. I can't list all the newspapers I have read by name. Reading at least two newspapers a day ensured a clear understanding of the facts. Reading more than two brought variety and insight. The newspapers I read made me love life and my family was the vehicle. The understanding of family and faith was always in the newspapers I read. 

Morality and kindness with insight to bring the most uneducated insight of the world. Where does anyone find that level of connectedness to the world?

Above my desk hangs an engraving of an island. (click here) It depicts a still-young city in a still-young nation. Its cobblestone streets are lined with squat buildings, none taller than a church spire. No bridges or tunnels in sight, schooners and paddle-steam ferries crowd a shoreline bustling with working piers. This is New York City in 1851.

On Sept. 18 of that year, at the south end of the island, on Nassau Street, the newspaper we know today as The New York Times published its first issue. Put together in unfinished lofts by candlelight, it consisted of four dense, colorless pages of text. It sold for a penny.

On Friday, The New York Times turns 175. Over the past several months, I’ve found myself drawn to that engraving on my office wall. How unlikely it is that a newspaper born before indoor electricity — let alone cars, radio, telephones, planes and computers — is still here. And how fortunate The Times is to have witnessed and chronicled and interrogated so much history in all those years.

At The Times, we believe the job of a newspaper is to seek the truth, to help people understand the world and to hold the powerful to account. This means equipping people with the information they need to make decisions. It means bonding our diverse communities with a fuller understanding of the lives, hopes and concerns of our neighbors....

The Trump Administration is simply untrustworthy.

Putin needs to leave Ukraine.

No country in the world hates the Russian people. It is a matter of expansionism and aggression that kills people and jeopardizes the health and future of children. The war with Ukraine was a huge mistake given the fact the Ukrainian people were working very hard to be a partner to those to the east and west of their borders, including cleaning up corruption. 

President Zelenskyy has been nothing short of remarkable. He and his wife have stood by the Ukrainian people during all this time. The ability of a leader to maintain the dignity and direction of his people is to be admired. 

Perhaps the elections in Russia are finally revealing the dissatisfaction of the people and the Kremlin is finally paying attention.

Europe needs to decide what is next. I know they want the border incursions to stop. That most probably has to take place before unification talks begin. Vladimir might have an ally in Trump, but, the rest of the world doesn't share that sentiment.

Russian President Vladimir Putin (click here) claimed that Moscow is prepared to resume cooperation and restore diplomatic relations with its European neighbors, asserting that Russia harbors no hostile intentions toward the European continent, Russian state news agency TASS reported on Friday, Sept. 18.

Speaking during a meeting of Russia’s Military-Industrial Commission, the Russian leader insisted that the Kremlin remains open to re-establishing bilateral dialogue despite years of acute geopolitical confrontation since Moscow launched its 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

“We are ready to cooperate and restore relations with our European neighbors,” Putin stated, adding that Moscow maintains no aggressive designs against European states....
