Oman had proven in the past it is capable of governance, finding peace, and enacting agreements of peace. The USA has no right to be involved in sovereign waters of other countries unless invited. There are no international waters in the Persian Gulf. The governance law of the Persian Gulf is administered by local governments and authorities. That is clearly understood as international law.
The strait of Hormuz is only 12 nautical miles.
Trump is trespassing. He is pounding his chest and flexing military muscle out of religious bigotry and self-righteousness.
