More than 84,000 people ! And what were the Republicans saying before the speech?

The Republicans were saying, "It is very risky to speak in a stadium without knowing if there would be good attendance. What does that tell me about Republicans? That they are calculating. Manipulative and lack the confidence that existed in Denver last night.

Barak Obama wanted a chance to be with the people that have stood by him since the beginning. To do so, he went to a stadium and literally said, "Build it and they will come." And come they did.

Barak has been, "Our Barak." Last night proved that.

The American people don't need just ANYONE with 'Old World' experience, they NEED a leader that "Will rebuild our nation."

John McCain can huff and puff all he wants as a political propaganda stunt, but, he ain't goin' ta war with Russia !

China and four Central Asian nations voiced support Thursday for Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's 'active role' in resolving the conflict in Georgia, according to the draft of a joint statement released by the Kremlin.

Enough said.

..."The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) members decided not to go for extremes when reacting to Russia's actions in the Caucasus. In a restrained manner and without recognizing South Ossetia and Abkhazia, they did side with their partner," the state Rossiyskaya Gazeta said.
"Russian officials assured that in closed meetings, SCO colleagues voiced full understanding of Russia's position, but could not acknowledge it openly due to internal reasons," the daily wrote.

"The most important thing was that SCO confirmed Russia's chief role as peacekeeper in the Caucasus," Rossiyskaya Gazeta added.
The Vremya Novostei daily was the only one upbeat, claiming that "in a practically consolidated anti-Russian stance the West took, Moscow still got support for its actions in the Caucasus from Beijing and other SCO partners."...

This is good and prudent policy between China and Russia. Such a treaty prevents war between them and protects their people from a war that would have high casualities while exposing their sovereignty to the risk of being destroyed by still a Western invasion force that would exploit a war between China and Russia. It was a treaty that needed to be signed. It saves lives for them as two communist nations.

The problem then lies with 'where does the USA and The West fit in?'

BEFORE Bush invaded Iraq illegally, the answer was easy. We were all allies. The West, China, Russia. But, the Neocons exploited 'the opportunity' that Osama bin Laden presented for a profit margin. Today, Russia; after being disaffected by terrorists that should have been stopped after September 11th as these networks are thriving on Opium Money from Afghanistan; no longer views The West as benevolent, yet alone an ally.

The instability between the breakaway provinces and Georgia posed a threat to Russian borders. They weren't going to stand by and let it continue, especially with Condi and Georgie exacerbating the power struggle with promises of a Missile Shield. The Neocons, including McCain, are very weak on diplomatic efforts.

McCain likes to ridicule Obama citing 'experience.' McCain even 'taps' film of 'the defeated' in the Democratic debates. McCain is turning to those that lost the debates and in his commercials he never allows Obama's reply to be heard. Obama should run those commercials 'in their entirety' and put McCain out of business. It's hideous. McCain is stating by airing those debate 'spots' that he is as good as 'the defeated.' Hello?

The experience McCain has will never melt the NEW Cold War. Never !

The Russia-China Friendship and Cooperation Treaty: A Strategic Shift in Eurasia? (click here)
by Ariel Cohen, Ph.D.
Backgrounder #1459
On July 16, the presidents of Russia and China signed a Treaty for Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation in Moscow.
1 This treaty is the first such agreement between these two Eurasian powers since Mao Tse-tung signed a treaty with Joseph Stalin of the U.S.S.R. in 1950, four months before the outbreak of the Korean War. That treaty had been driven by anti-Western sentiments....
