I like it that our President's primary income was from his salary. He is a working American.
In that is a remarkable reality. He took a pay cut along with those facing "The Sequester" salary cuts. He is moral man. He loves his family and this nation. I am proud of his presidency. He is dedicated and works hard for the policies he achieves. There is a lot there to be proud of.

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama (click here) made less in 2012 than in any other year since taking office, with about 40 percent of the nearly $609,000 in income he and first lady Michelle Obama reported coming from book sales.
Obama, who renewed his call for higher taxes on the wealthy in the budget he released Wednesday, paid $112,214 in taxes last year, putting his effective federal tax rate at 18.4 percent, according to tax returns released by the White House.
Most of the $608,611 the Obamas reported in adjusted gross income came from the president's salary, $394,840. He got $258,772 in royalties from his books, including his 1995 memoir "Dreams from My Father" and 2006 political book "The Audacity of Hope."...

Privatizing government, are you for real?
The sincere problem with the desperate Right Wing ideology is when they are provided an opportunity to protect the public they profoundly fail to do so. Those are not political positions, it is the blatant truth. This is not a staged event. It just happens to be that Senator Warren thinks for a living without the priority of pandering to campaign donors. Isn't that where we want our government to be?
Thank you, Ms. Harris, it is a magnificent moral statement.
The Moral Community of the USA has a spokesperson for the first time. I do not understand the criticism, nor do I want to. There has been a horrible message to the country from the political right to eliminate education.
She reminds me of something someone else stated.
The messages of these women are attacked without mercy because it brings to bear the idea of public spending for the general good. President Obama came under attack when the political Right cherry picked words "You didn't build that."
We are a country that invests in our common areas of interest. We do that because it is a place where the majority Middle Class seeks to achieve for themselves what they can't do alone.
The beginnings of education in the USA were places like Pinkerton Academy in New Hampshire and the wealthy were the only participants. We have come a long way and today we have public schools, community colleges and pubic universities. We have these wonderful places in our lives while at the same time we are witnessing governors like Pat McCrory in North Carolina hack away at what is concerned a world class public university system.
These attacks will continue because it feeds the political right financing base. We all know what Melissa's message is about and it is said beautifully. I am grateful for her and her insight. It is valuable and important.
The face of poverty in the USA. It is why Roe v. Wade is the law of the land.
Having an abortion in his clinic was still safer than doing it yourself.
The more attacks on abortion rights that exist, the worse the circumstances of women will become. The worst of the worse will become viable answers.
When is a life not desired? Perhaps when drug gangs are the destiny to any birth. Why bring children into a world where a woman can hardly make the rent?
Gosnell is the epitome of the failure of the Anti-Abortion movement.

(CBS/AP) PHILADELPHIA - An unlicensed doctor fled out the back of an unorthodox medical clinic the night the FBI raided the facility in 2010, a witness testified Thursday at a murder trial centered on the location.
Abortion provider Kermit Gosnell, 72, is charged with killing a 41-year-old female patient and seven babies allegedly born alive, and with performing illegal, late-term abortions at his thriving inner-city clinic. Co-defendant Eileen O'Neill, 56, of Phoenixville, is charged with billing as a doctor and participating in a corrupt organization.
Eight former employees have pleaded guilty, some to third-degree murder, and have testified this month about bizarre, often-chaotic practices at the clinic....
What does the world do when a dictator seems to be a threat?
Ask what rights other countries have to remove the threat.
I think Kim is seeking to bring war between The West and North Korea. His brinkmanship is a few notches higher than his father. But, North Korea has become a very aggressive nation. That is the greatest lesson to all this. It is at the brink of war.
The fever pitch in the media is amazing and this title in the NYTimes illustrates clearly how ballsy the tone has become. Does anyone ask what right The West has to Pre-emption in these circumstances?
I think the media needs to stop feeding the ego of a dictator seeking war over peace. Kim has moved his missiles to the coast. That isn't brilliant? He doesn't have to move anything to the coast to launch. Why not put the missiles in the center of Pyongyang? These are mobile missiles. He could launch from the palace roof if he wanted to.
Pyongyang wants war. They want to invade South Korea. They have a strategy and it begins with The West destroying their missiles on the coast. Once that occurs the ground war begins without end. There won't be any negotiations if war breaks out. I doubt there will be negotiations at all, but, Secretary Kerry is welcome to try.
North Korea is at a chronic state of war. I don't doubt this will be the norm now. Kim is inching his way into South Korea. The West needs to decide where to draw the line. There are significant assets in the seas of South Korea and on land. Kim is taking South Korea in inches and not by unleashing war. He occupies an island he didn't before his father died. Now, he has shutdown an industrial complex shared with South Korea and no doubt will seek to occupy it as well. What next? Movement into the DMZ while talking about uniting the North and South. That is what he is seeking. He is mapping out a strategy to encourage encroachment to take back the South.
North and South Korea have a lot in common, it is called the Korean Peninsula. South Korea needs to decide how tolerant they will be as Kim encroaches further and further to uniting the North and South. It is their lives, their futures and their children's inheritance.
We are not Dick Cheney. Cheney is a mad man. He likes being a mad man, not very different than Kim. The USA has to look to it's sovereign right and interests to intervene as the one superpower left to Earth. That title of Superpower is not accurate. The USA could not wage war against every country on Earth that now aims nuclear missiles at it and survive. Every country on Earth has a limit to it's sovereign state if nuclear war broke out. But, a nuclear launch would be the beginning of war and not the end.
So, while Americans have the demands to destroy the missiles before their capacity is actually realized, they might want to ask how well "Duck and Cover" works. When Americans scream "...kill, kill, kill..." they are actually proving how spoiled their thinking actually is. Americans actually think dropping bombs outside the boundaries of the USA is THEIR RIGHT, not their burden. Americans are Chicken Little believing that if they yell "...the sky is falling..." they can actually stop it. It is that fever pitch that provided an illegal invasion into Iraq. How did that turn out for you?

Bomb North Korea, Before It’s Too Late (click here)

...Earlier this week, North Korea closed the Kaesong Industrial Complex, the only facility where citizens from North and South Korea work together. And now the North is openly threatening (and visibly preparing) to fire a mobile-launcher-based Musudan missile with a range that could reach many of the places Mr. Kim has menaced in his public statements. American intelligence agencies believe that North Korea is working to prepare even longer-range delivery systems to carry the nuclear warheads already in its arsenal....
The Korean crisis has now become a strategic threat to America’s core national interests. The best option is to destroy the North Korean missile on the ground before it is launched. The United States should use a precise airstrike to render the missile and its mobile launcher inoperable....
