Billionaire NFL owner (click here) Robert Kraft wandered into the wrong “Asian spa” and got himself charged with a crime. Now his lawyers find themselves accused by prosecutors of contempt of court.

The defense lawyers say it is all nonsense.

It’s just another day in the strange saga involving two separate-but-related court cases. One involves the misdemeanor solicitation-of-prostitution prosecution of Kraft, owner of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. The other involves the felony prosecution of two women who worked at the spa.

In a motion filed Tuesday, the state asked a Palm Beach County judge to hold Kraft attorneys Alex Spiro and William Burck in contempt for “knowingly and intentionally making a false statement of fact” while questioning a witness, who happens to be a cop who made traffic stops after customers left the spa. They were grilling him about a conversation supposedly picked up over a body cam.

The claim is that in questioning the cop the lawyers set up a false premise: that the officer had been recorded stating that if anyone questioned whether there was a proper justification for making a traffic stop, the cop could simply “make shit up.”

In fact, the officer is not recorded saying that....

The National Rifle Association, aka NRA, has become politically correct. There is a new president. A woman. Carolyn Meadows. Don’t know if she is married with grandchildren.

Ms. Meadows needs to explain to her membership why she is a racist. One of her first statements was about Congresswoman Lucy McBath. Meadows stated Congresswoman McBath was not elected for her support of gun laws, but, because she is a minority woman. Meadows says “We” will get the seat back. I would like to know who we is because the NRA never served in Congress, There are and has been White Nationalists/Supremacists in Congress but in shrinking numbers. So, who is we?

Congresswoman Lucy McBath is a threat to Meadows’ NRA, She lost a son because of gun violence. He was 17 years old in 2012. Congresswoman McBath is a lovely woman, eloquent speaker and doesn’t hide her reason for starting a career in the US House of Representatives. If Congresswoman McBath isn’t  elected anytime in the future it will be because she has run successfully for the US Senate.

Congresswoman McBath may need additional security since she is now a target of the NRA’s new president. Meadows won’t stop.

The New York Times has 10 years of Trump tax numbers indicating a billion dollar loss by his business.

1985 to 1994. He is always looking for money rather than generating it.

Donald Trump wasn’t just a real estate developer. He built gambling establishments. His cash flow is impressive but for some reason his losses were enormous. Why?

I don’t think the losses are related to the gambling establishments. I do believe owning a gambling establishment(s) is a convenient excuse for financial losses.

Any trip to Iraq is a sudden and unannounced. The problem with the Trump administration is that it is working in a rhetoric filled bubble. Trump pulled out of the Iraqi nuclear deal. Trump is not in the loop of current and positive information about Iran. Iran was instrumental in removing Deash from the region. The US will find the region more rigid in including Iran in all security concerns. Southern Iraq is Shia and Iran is involved with that faith. That won’t change.

I find it interesting that Trump rallied about the Wikileaks publication of Russian crime only to realize the man that facilitated it is facing a potential crime that Pamela Anderson states "We need to save his life. That is how serious this is." That is a whole lot different than 5 years. His attorney(s) need to speak to people on behalf of Julian Assange because the public is not on the same page as Ms. Anderson.

The prosecuting attorneys need to speak to Americans about the charges Julian Assange is facing. He is not a USA citizen. He cannot be charged with treason. What kind of charges is Assange facing that could bring him the death sentence?

I am going to end reading today. I will resume tomorrow. This treatment of Assange is a surprise to me. He is in a Supermax prison? That seems far too severe to me.

This is more than just Russia. This is more or less about the US military information released on Wikileaks. That is why Chelsea Manning is involved.

...Ben Brandon, the counsel for the US government, (click here) presented details of the US case against Assange at Westminster magistrates court on Thursday. He said the charges related to one of the largest compromises of information in US history.

They were connected to the downloading of a “vast amount of classified documents” by Chelsea Manning, the US intelligence analyst who subsequently served a prison sentence....

...Assange is being held in “appalling” conditions in prison, said the editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks, the whistleblowing website the Australian founded, after the hearing. “For the last weeks since he was arrested, he has spent 23 out of 24 hours a day in his cell most of the time,” said Kristinn Hrafnsson, who blamed “austerity and cutbacks”.

“That is what we call in general terms solitary confinement. That applies to most of the prisoners in that appalling facility. It is unacceptable that a publisher is spending time in that prison,” he said....

...The US charge against him carries a maximum five-year prison sentence, but supporters are concerned further, more serious charges could be added later.

Snow told Assange the next hearing where “something of substance” would happen would be 12 June because, by then, Assange would have received all paperwork from the US after a formal extradition request was served. But he suspected it would take many months before “the full substance” of Assange’s case was heard....

The five-year sentence was for the extradition hearing that facilitated his custody to the USA. He is still facing time in the UK, but, that didn't keep him in England. I think the final charges presented later will be substantial and may include the Russia hacking of the DNC and Clinton Campaign.

Pamela Anderson is correct, this is going to require support and depending on complete disclosure of his charges may require donations to his defense if it is a prolonged time in the USA courts.

The presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump ("Trump Campaign" or "Campaign") showed interest in WikiLeaks' s releases of documents and welcomed their potential to damage candidate Clinton. Beginning in June 2016,  HARM TO ONGOING MATTER

I already stated that. Trump found a real purpose to the words that echoed from Wikileaks. He called it "the inner heart." He never once stated that Russia committed a crime in hacking the DNCC or the Clinton Campaign. He looked to make political hay out of the crime Russia committed.

One other thing is that Trump, during the election (not the primary) never really bothered about intelligence briefings. I think that is notable. If one never hears a reason to avoid Russian influence how can that occur?

Of interest should be the multiple names of the Trump Campaign. It is easy to point to the fact it is named as Donald J. Trump campaign in one part of the report while it is referred to as "Campaign" in another. It is an opportunity for those that want to continue to mislead Americans to do so.

Around the same time, candidate Trump announced that he hoped Russia would recover emails described as missing from a private server used by Clinton when she was Secretary of State (he later said that he was speaking sarcastically. What is particularly interesting is that the Trump Campaign knew in advance of Wikileaks publication of the stolen documents. I imagine that knowledge did two things, it provided an opportunity for Trump to stop Wikileaks if the campaign wanted to, but, it also allowed the Trump Campaign to be prepared for the release. So, while, Trump appeared to be surprised and judgemental of the security of the DNCC and the Clinton Campaign, he was not surprised. He was ready and not caught off guard as the Clinton folks were. It is an advantage to Trump. An advantage Russia PLANNED.

As I stated before emails, privacy, responsible handling of such communications are all soft targets. There is no parent with internet access that doesn't seek to protect their children AND teens from exploitation and bullying. So, the entire episode was something Trump, as an entertainer understood very well. He dived right in and exploited the crime Russia committed.

WikiLeaks began releasing Podesta' s stolen emails on October 7, 2016, less than one hour after a U.S. media outlet released video considered damaging to candidate Trump. Section II of this Report details the Office's investigation into the Russian hacking operations, as well as other efforts by Trump Campaign supporters to obtain Clinton-related emails.

It was all they could do to find dirt on Hillary Clinton. That soft target is still used in Republican politics today.

Why would any Republican disparage the Special Counsel report? Money and lots of it. After all, money is a citizen, isn't it?

I have to address the idiocy surrounding the "Citizen's United" decision. When looking to election reform, the real enemy is not alone the CORPORATIONS in the traditional sense. The real enemy to the USA elections that allows entities like Russia to infiltrate our country and our election OUTCOMES are the Family Corporations without an IPO that develop 401(c)4s otherwise known as PACs. Those PACS then distribute billions upon billions into the election process through media propaganda. NOW, we are seeing the DANGEROUS result of that election financing paradigm.

Family corporations, like the Kochs, Waltons, Trumps and others that found their wealth through the exploitation of natural resources and "cheap purchase outlets" undermined not only our democracy for their own purpose, but, undermined the local economies across this country and they are still at it, including, Trump and his tax policy.

RUSSIAN HACKING OPERATIONS

At the same time that the IRA operation began to focus ·on supporting candidate Trump in early 2016, the Russian government employed a second form of interference: cyber intrusions (hacking) and releases of hacked materials damaging to the Clinton Campaign. The Russian intelligence service known as the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Army (GRU) carried out these operations.

Got that? There was a conspiracy FOUND that linked the IRA and the Russian government regardless of the oligarch funding. Where there is a Russian oligarch, there is Russia. There is no doubt in that.

When Trump says he wants to do things with Russia, he is a fool. He will always be under Russian influence.

The "Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Army (GRU) and the IRA are conspirators to the same end OUTCOME in the USA through the electoral process.

Why did President Obama sign off on sanctions in his administration and never backed down from it? Because he knew what the intelligence agencies were finding in addition to the invasion of Ukraine.

Would it be interesting if the USA denied NATO and Russia could invade Ukraine without another major power to oppose it? Not only did Obama know, but, I believe it was James Clapper that came out during the election of 2016, long before Comey did, and stated they were finding this influence. As Clapper stated, by that time the influence within social media was so dense the intelligence agencies' words were not alarming. The intelligence agencies warning WERE DROWNED OUT of any influence with the people themselves. Does anyone think James Clapper would speak to the American people about this without the direction of President Obama? GET THE DIRT OF 2016 AND THE RUSSIANS OUT OF YOUR HEADS ALREADY! To continue the OLD DIALOG from 2016 is to further the Russian cause.

In March 2016, the GRU began hacking the email accounts of Clinton Campaign volunteers and employees, including campaign chairman John Podesta. In April 2016, the GRU hacked into the computer networks of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The GRU stole hundreds of thousands of documents from the compromised email accounts and networks. Around the time that the DNC announced in mid-June 2016 the Russian government's role in hacking its network, the GRU began disseminating stolen materials through the fictitious online personas "DCLeaks" and "Guccifer 2.0." The GRU later released additional materials through the organization WikiLeaks.

No one's words were heard. The DNC told the American people about the CRIME of Russia in regard to the hacked sites. Those effected by Russian influence did not hear the words of warning, they only heard and cared about THE SCANDAL. The American people were already lost to the influence of the IRA and the GRU.

Trump himself plugged into THE SCANDAL or as he would say it, "The inner heart." Emails and Clinton from the point of the time of the Server Scandal came back to haunt the DNC and the Clinton Campaign and the judgment of her as a national security risk stuck while the Russians relished the moment.

Emails are a soft target with Americans and I imagine that is the same with most Western countries. I think India faces that as well. Countries that deeply value freedom of speech are going to run into the phenomena found by the Special Counsel investigation. if the people value their democracy and freedom they will seek the action of legislators to end this FOREIGN influence and the money that comes with it. That may be possible in many Western countries because their politicians MAY NOT BE HOOKED on big money politics. That is what facilitated the corruption of the election of 2016. Russia was able to pour a lot of money into propaganda GENERATED BY USA AGENCIES, like the NRA. The more money they received the more they could saturate the media with their message of fear. 

Understand this, the message of the NRA is based in fear. Many members that are the loudest bull horn for the NRA fear the power of government and believe the USA government would overrun the American people, their economy and freedom if the NRA was not standing the line to keep "Gun Sympathetic" politicians in office. If the Supreme Court ever bothered to realize how much their decision of "Citizens' United" allowed Russian influence, they might even change their ruling. I would hope. If political corruption is at work with any member of the Supreme Court in a way that allows such corruption, then Russia's plans for the USA are endless and we are burdened with such propaganda until laws prohibit it.

In mid-2014, the IRA sent employees to the United States on an intelligence-gathering mission with instructions HARM TO ONGOING MATTER

Get that? The Russian agency seeking to control the political environment of the USA was sent to the USA on an intelligence gathering mission. Not only did they come to gather intelligence, which could be a simple as "What is a babysitter?," but they had instructions. Whom did they have instructions from? It is my estimation at least the oligarch, but, who then gave the oligarch instructions? Putin. We know for a fact Putin had an active interest in controlling the political environment in the USA because he stated that if Clinton was elected there would be a nuclear war and if Trump was elected there would be peace. 

First, is there peace? No.

Second, stop to realize that the president of Russia who has been there at least as long as Lenin 

Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Born - 22 April 1870 – Died - 21 January 1924), better known by the alias Lenin, was a Russian revolutionary, politician, and political theorist. He served as head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1922 and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924.

Lenin ruled Russia for what was that, 7 years? Putin was voted into office since 2000. I think it was 2000. The poor boy raised within the Russian tradition came to be a respected member of the KGB and continued his rise to power the rest of his life. His influence never ended once he was at the pinnacle of his career as the president of Russia. Even when he was out of office after two terms, the man ? elected ? to the presidency was Putin's Prime Minister.

So, here we are now reading a report from the highly esteemed Robert Mueller and his Special Counsel and what is occurring? Russia left St. Petersburg because the USA is not completely Europe. The USA has a particularly unique culture of "The Cowboy" that resonates strongly in the USA political culture of the Right Wing. The resonation was so strong that they sent a woman pretending to be a foreign exchange student to become a trusted member of the NRA. They not only sent a woman to infiltrate the NRA, but they also sent lots and lots of money, too.

THAT is a methodology. It is not a good methodology. Putin's Russia has absolutely no respect for the American people or it's culture, it only wants to control it, both domestically and internationally.

I wrote a strange and funny thing. ? elected ? because the elections in Russia are controlled to even the point where the ballot boxes are stuffed. The elections in Russia are guaranteed to turn out the same way, the support of a communist government and there is no end in sight. In the USA a communist can run for president and there is probably one on the ballot during every election, but, that doesn't mean they will ever reach the presidency. If anything showing the world that every political belief in the world has a place in the USA only proves how strong we are as a country in that we adhere to our democracy and the freedom it affords us. The 2016 election changed that. We as a country need to know how it was achieved and why!

For those that read this blog ask yourselves if Russia would allow the freedom the USA allows in it's electoral process and the answer is a firm NO. Why even begin to entertain the idea that Mueller, the Special Counsel or the report is not an important event in our history?

The IRA later (after their trip to the USA to study the culture of the USA) used social media accounts and interest groups to sow discord in the U.S. political system through what it termed "information warfare." (Cyber was now a tool, a methodology of Russian intelligence. Not a passive intelligence, but, a very active intelligence intended to end the USA Constitution.) The campaign evolved from a generalized program designed in 2014 and 2015 to undermine the U.S. electoral system, to a targeted operation that by early 2016 favored candidate Trump and disparaged candidate Clinton. (Vladimir Putin himself disparaged Clinton. Don't ignore that.) The IRA' s operation also included the purchase of political advertisements on social media in the names of U.S. persons and entities, as well as the staging of political rallies inside the United States. To organize those rallies, IRA employees posed as U.S. grassroots entities and persons and made contact with Trump supporters and Trump Campaign officials in the United States. The investigation did not identify evidence that any U.S. persons conspired or coordinated with the IRA. Section II of this report details the Office's investigation of the Russian social media campaign. 

Why would any president of the United States of America obstruct the findings of this report or a US Attorney General conspire to carry out that presidential directive?

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY TO VOLUME I

RUSSIAN SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

The Internet Research Agency (IRA) carried out the earliest Russian interference operations identified by the investigation- a social media campaign designed to provoke and amplify political and social discord in the United States. The IRA was based in St. Petersburg, Russia, and received funding from Russian oligarch Yevgeniy Prigozhin and companies he controlled. Priozhin is widely reported to have ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin (HARM to ONGOING MATTER)

This is interesting first in realizing the operations of the IRA are out of
St. Petersburg, Russia. St. Petersburg is the closest city in Russia to Europe. There is no doubt to me the reason the IRA is operating out of St. Peterburg is because the agents are exposed to European culture, news, tourists and economy. That is CULTURAL. In order for the IRA to be successful, they have to absorb the West's culture and carry that forward into it's cyber activities to effect the hearts and minds of citizens in The West.

The next issue is the idea of the Russian oligarchs. Are they truly autonomous in their activities or are they an arm of the Russian government. I sincerely believe there is little autonomy of the Russian oligarch class. When the collapse of the USSR occurred, what first emerged, other than having astronauts in space without a viable country, was the Russia oligarch class.

The Russian oligarch class showed up a great deal in the beginning in the New York Times. I was on the message boards at that time and everyone knew there was a "wealth class" in Russia. It makes a great deal of sense that would emerge and make the New York Times and it's message boards because it is Wall Street. Wall Street and it's minions would be very interested in wealthy people. There most noteworthy oligarch (I am not looking at notes right now for HIS name) was one that had his own jets. Not private jets, but, military jets. I think there was at least one military jet. I don't want to convey the idea there was an entire squadron. I do not believe the oligarch had a squadron to threaten anyone. But, there was at least one military jet owned by a Russian oligarch.


There is a lot that can be discerned from those bare bones information. It is my perception there are many classes of people in Russia. I know there is/was an entire city of scientists. We know from the experience with Ukraine that communists like to have "hamlets" of people controlled by wealthy/oligarch Russians. There is a strong reason for that. To begin it provides Russia with a great deal of control over people within Russia. If every oligarch is looking out for his own best interests within the Russian governing paradigm the control is conveyed as a condition of their wealth.

So, when realizing there was a staunch Russian as leader of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych when the Ukraine national military was disarmed although not dissolved (reconstituted when Yanukovych was ousted) it is very easy to then understand the questionably social structure of Russia as well. I say questionably because there is no free and open society in Russia. Every Russian citizen (citizenship, be it dual or not is very important to the people's LEGAL and WELCOMING identity) may be living and working, but, their lives are not their own. That is not to say the Russian people are not well managed as some of the artists, including ballet and some of the most beautiful art in any underground/subway is part of that country's legacy. That was nurtured under the USSR which existed after the Russian revolution. LENIN - Father of the country.

But, that is straying away from the investigation, except, in realizing Russian oligarchs are funding the IRA says it all, doesn't it? The IRA is a government agency, funded by an oligarch and acting from orders and influence of the KGB. End of that discussion. If anyone is dealing with oligarchs, they are also dealing with Russia. Period.

Yevgenly Prigozhin is known to have a close relationship with Putin and he is very diverse in his interests.

The U.S. has charged Prigozhin with running an Internet operation that interfered with the 2016 U.S. presidential election. He's also been sanctioned for supporting Russia's occupation in Ukraine.

In 2006, Russian President Vladimir Putin (click here) hosted a dinner for President George W. Bush and other world leaders in St. Petersburg, Russia. In a photo, the man standing behind them is the caterer, wearing a tux and a white bow tie. His name is Yevgeny Prigozhin.

His nickname is "Putin's chef." So what's the big deal about him?

"He epitomizes a real renaissance man in contemporary Russia, which is to say that he runs some very high-end restaurants," said Angela Stent, the head of Russian Studies at Georgetown University and author of the forthcoming book Putin's World....

So, literally, Yevgeny Prigozhin is not only an oligarch but also serves as Putin's chef. Get the taste of communism. It is needless to say both men are from the same political party in Russia. Additionally, soak in the moment. Here sits President George W. Bush in the same room, at the same table with Putin and they are eating the same meal. Overseeing all that is a major party member of Putin's party that is well vested in the idea Vladimir Putin should maintain his health. We aren't sure how the oligarch-chef sees the health of the USA's president. It would be a very awkward moment and would cause an international incident if "W" was found to become ill at or after the state dinner.

Now about the "Deep State." How invested is any government official in the USA to the intelligence agencies THAT SERVE the USA government? I would hope very. Why? Because they know a heck of a lot more than I do about the dangers facing women and men that work for the USA government, the women and men that serve in the USA military and the women and men that serve in intelligence to KEEP THE USA SAFE. I don't want to hear a word about "The Deep State." As a country, we have only begun to realize the depth of the work of our intelligence agencies with stories like this out of NPR and episodes where the federal government was defunded from something like two months. We learned just this year without "The Deep State" planes would not fly.

As to the man at the top of the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller. I don't want to hear how he is not trustworthy enough to sit under the capital dome and make testimony to the US Senate. Every Senator standing in disdain of Robert Mueller and his Special Counsel and the report should be REPLACED in the federal government. Robert Mueller would never compromise this country or taint the political environment. NEVER.

The rogue nation conducted its first missile test in 18 months early Saturday morning (May 4), launching a short-range vehicle east into the Pacific Ocean.

An Earth-observing Dove satellite built by San Francisco-based company Planet Labs happened to be overhead shortly after the launch and captured a stunning shot of the missile's curving, wind-whipped smoke trail....

Oh?

It would seem as though Buzzfeed has done the impossible and removed all efforts by Barr to protect Trump. I take issue with the word "meddling." Russia did far more than meddle, it interfered with the 2016 elections in ways that are criminal. 

It is the criminal aspect and the willingness of the Trump campaign to embrace Russia's criminal activity that is most worrisome and completely inappropriate for a presidential candidate. I think the same criminality can be found in Trump's presidency as well. It is a character issue.

The direction of the country polls reflects a country unhappy with the way things are going to the tune of more than 55 percent. Only slightly more than 37 percent of the USA believe the country is on the right track and that is Trump's base.

The evidence that BuzzFeed has a NEW version of the Special Counsel report has now added to the concern Americans should have about the current administration and it's continued willingness to be corrupt and to lie to an entire nation.

The Department of Justice on Monday (click here) released a new version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election and President Donald Trump's campaign, shedding light on why significant portions of the 448-page document were redacted before it was released to the public earlier this month.

The new version was released by the Department of Justice in response to a Freedom of Information Act request and a subsequent lawsuit filed by BuzzFeed News and separately by the Electronic Privacy and Information Center....

...This new version of the report clearly states which information was withheld because it would interfere with ongoing law enforcement proceedings, which "would disclose techniques and procedures for law enforcement investigations or prosecutions," and which was withheld on national security grounds....

Everyone should feel good about the fact a qualified judge has his hand on the Special Counsel report. Progress is being made on behalf of the truth.

The fact Judge Walton is now involved only tells me the US House is on the right track in it's demand for the unredacted report and it's supporting documents. The US House is able to protect classified information. There are classified documents in the hands of the legislature right now. They also have documents that involve ongoing lawsuits. The objections by the Trump White House and a distraught DOJ about supplying the US House with all the documents is unwarranted.

...Earlier this month, during a hearing in the case, US District Judge Reggie Walton said Barr had “created an environment that has caused a significant part of the American public to be concerned about whether there will be full transparency."...

...BuzzFeed News and EPIC will now have the opportunity to challenge the legitimacy of the redactions and argue before Walton that overwhelming public interest compels the disclosure of additional information in the report....

Joe Biden is leading the Democratic field because he is rock solid. Most people don't see him making mistakes and right now the Republicans are studying the debate with Sarah Palin looking for the most minor of flaws. Flaws are hard to find with the former Vice President.

I still believe the other Democratic candidates are very viable and full of qualifications. They have been building policy and when looking at Elizabeth Warren, she exudes policy, is not hesitant about it and can stand on her feet while answering questions that are new. Elizabeth Warren is not at all rhetorical. She is real, spontaneous and full of ideas to think about.

Kamala Harris is a relatively new voice, but, what a voice she has. She is anchored in correctness and it is not rhetorical or political correctness. She is law and she is rock solid law. She is a person with a depth of the meaning of America that few others can claim. She is a very successful woman, personable and unafraid of her abilities. She is clear minded and simply wonderful.

I have always liked Cory Booker. He turned Newark, New Jersey into a city and removed the image of a plagued city. He never once in his seven-year mayorship thought Newark was unable and too violent to be a safer and a more livable city. Cory Booker pulled Newark out of the depths of corruption. His abilities are immeasurable in any real way.

I find the Democratic field incredibly talented. I still have my preference in the Governor of Washington, Jay Inslee. I am mostly immovable. I find his candidacy the most appropriate in his focus and the fact the climate crisis is nearing a terrible paradigm. He is correct in that it is our generation that has realized the seriousness of the climate crisis and the generation assigned the responsibility of ending the danger for the generations behind us. He is able to lead. He knows the dynamics, he has lived the political ambivalence and the danger of that ambivalence. He knows some of the most severe effects of the climate crisis and he sees the future clearly.

I think I'll read awhile.
