Ice Loss 2012 from the surface of the Arctic Ocean

These geological formations were under ice before until this year. The glaciers are still shrinking, but, it is the first time they are flowing into open water.

At 1:15 in the video are sheets of blue ice. The blue hue can be noted in all the ice formations be they glaciers or floating ice sheets. In looking at the floating ice sheets one begins to understand the depth of ice that occurred in this area. Decades past is was much, much thicker, but, the Climate Crisis has destroyed it all.

It is very sad. Our ice reserves that cool Earth are disappearing at a very rapid rate.

According to the European Space Agency there are four years to an iceless Arctic Ocean.

Below is the loss of ice over the decades. The rapid loss took effect with the emergence of upper tropospheric vortexes on October 4, 2002.
