Statute of Limitations

The DOJ and January 6th committee needs to keep in mind any statute of limitations on the potential charges, including conspiracies, of the people involved. The people objecting to the investigations are running against the statute of limitations to prevent charges and being found guilty of their crimes.

Attorney General Merrick Garland made a magnificent speech.

I cried when AG Merrick Garland described the treatment of five Capitol Police Officers. That is unforgivable. The Capitol Police are dedicated Americans to uphold the security of a building and the people within it that house a vital branch of our country’s democracy. Their work is important.

The National Guard needs to remain at the USA Capitol until the violence in the country stops.

One enemy of the USA not in the AG’s speech played a destructive part in the election of Donald John Trump during 2020. That enemy facilitated the hate Trump sowed in the USA, namely Russian agents acting with the interest of Vladimir Putin.

Every American that participated in the assault on the US Capitol needs to be brought to justice. I think that justice is tedious and demands perfection of evidence so the prosecutions go forward in force and to render sentences that hold up under scrutiny.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has worked diligently to bring justice at a time in the country when moral confusion exists to a virus and the constitutional rights of individuals vs. the protection of the majority of Americans. This is not an easy time for the DOJ.

I appreciate their work and their steadfast dedication to the Rule of Law. I think the DOJ is doing a great job and I thank them.

Attorney General Merrick Garland is the absolutely best man for the leadership of the DOJ at this difficult time for the USA.
