Finally, progress.

There are many ways to proceed from here. The best way is for Democrats to formulate a priority of funding for DHS in priority to national security and the well being of people. No one wants illegal immigrants, but, they are not so much the problem as roving DHS agents with military weapons.

So, as an advocate, I think the best way forward is for Democrats to talk directly to the people stating they want to prioritize refunding the department based on the safety of citizens. That means funding essential services such as the Coast Guard. 

Congress can designer legislate the refunding of DHS. Designer legislation can also limit the reassignment of agents. The Department can be required to allow agents to work after completing necessary training in Quantico. 

All the new agents are not necessary. ICE is heavy in personnel and they can be dismissed. A command authority of long serving agents that may have to be recalled back to employment can revitalize DHS with reviews of all the departments to be refunded and restructure requirements for agents, their training, their deployment, and disciplinary procedures for rouge agents. 

DHS is not the law, only enforcement. People are to be guaranteed Due Process and complete safety through that process.

I do not see just a few modifications especially realizing the disarray the department is in and it‘s willingness to disrupt American lives. There is no respect for human life in the way the department is being run.  ICE is about arresting the undocumented WITHOUT destroying the country from the inside out. Considering how much disarray exists in deportations it is going to be a long time to sort through who is to return to the USA. That is going to require more judges and courts to move these processes along.

I don’t see the department returning to the size it is now. It is far too large and requires too much funding. A lot has transpired in transportation since September 11, 2001 and all the reasons DHS was consolidated must be reviewed.

The special programs in the news article below clearly demonstrates how far we have come in perfecting security for travelers. These programs should be regarded as successes in the return of trust and security. Basically, to what extent is DHS as a single department still necessary? Such consolidation of power is proving to be a hazard rather than an enhancement.

Congress was wrong to put so much money into a wayward political objective. Congress doesn’t have to apologize, they need to get it right. DHS is NOT to return to its inhumane capacity ever again. It was consolidated to protect Americans, not place them in the line of fire. If Republicans can’t see the errors in trusting this administration then refuse to fund it at all.

Responsibly reduce the power within DHS, return function and not brutality, and cut funding to reasonable levels. All this will require new legislation of the department and possibly removing it from the status of cabinet level with new functional departments at the table instead. They can all still talk to each other within new organization, but, no one Secretary should have such consolidated power, personnel or budget.

ICE may have to be disbanded into State authority only. It can be funded federally and become a division of the State Bureau of Investigation. Customs can move to a responsibility of the Border Patrol with proper personnel and funding.

Citizenship is necessary to vote.

 That is existing law.

Or whatever it is called, is a poll tax and prohibited by the 24th Amendment.

A birth certificate if required to register by law has to be provided free to every American. A birth certificate already states where and when the birth occurred. Nothing else is necessary.

If a married couple is affiliated with a name change and proof is required by the state, then the state must issue a free marriage certificate when the marriage is completed. 

If such measures are passed into law, there will have to be an initiation period of two years while documents are printed and distributed. 

If passports are required, the same paradigm is true. The problem is a passport is a federally issued document and can be held as an invalid measure of citizenship by the states. Birth certificates are state issued.

Tariff yo-yo

When reading through the Supreme Court decision it became obvious there was no investigation leading up to tariff executive orders. It was evident because the tariffs would go up one day, down the next, up two days later and in the case of China it culminated in something like 135 percent. 

Trump is doing the same thing again. Ten percent didn’t make him happy so within hours of the original tariff declaration he raised it to 15 percent. It is crazy stuff. 

It is obvious there is no investigation leading. If there is no investigation, then what the hell is he basing this mess on? 

The Supreme Court made the right decision.

Alito, Kavanaugh, and Thomas are the corrupt justices.

We now know it exists and why Chief Justice Roberts wrote the majority opinion himself.

I think Justice Gorsuch is worried enough about the country that he spoke out about the danger that exists. I appreciate his honesty.

We all have an interest in the steadfastness of this democracy and the national security it guarantees. Freedom is important in all aspects.

The three dissenting justices will never be viewed the same. They have tainted their reputations forever. I am not surprised about Alito. He is a partisan through and through. The other two are a surprise to some extent. But, there is always Ginny and pillow talk. Kavanaugh carved out an identity that secured his nomination and to that end he holds allegiance rather than the oath to the USA Constitution.

We have a new balance of understanding. I always take the three what is called Liberal justices seriously. I appreciate their opinions always.

The justices are given life long terms for a reason. Evidently, that should be reviewed. Some can’t make the important calls in siding with our founding documents. That is a concern.

Small business and auto industry hurt.

When Trump played his isolation game to “Made in America,” the car industry was immediately affected. Other countries decided the electric cars of China were a great alternative to tariffed American imports. Now, the old agreements with allies and trading partners are no more. The damage is done.

This is the USA now. We cater to the individual. Specialty everything. These products are dense in quality and unique supply chains. These entrepreneurs are of the opinion, the damage is done.

The powers of a dictator does not exist in the USA Constitution.

If Putin and Orban are expecting corruption to win out as in their countries they are very mistaken. The USA is a strong democracy with an infallible constitution. 

End of discussion!

Trump throughout his argument is attempting to push the court into corruption, hence permission of a dictator without the balance of “the people” (the legislative authority). 

The good news, at least for now, is that through its own decisions, both legislative and judicial, Trump’s dictatorial powers are limited by the legislative rights of the people.

The executive branch is contained and what the country is witnessing is racketeering and abuse of power.

The repeated attempt at 10 percent global tariff is illegal. He can pretend to carry out such outrageous acts for as long as the corrupted Republican majority of Congress will allow it. Hence, those Republicans in Congress in either House should be removed of their self-permission to corrupt the country with ruling rhetoric (especially racism) rather than law.

Republicans are capable of upholding The Rule of Law, except this class purchased by Elon Musk. This class of Republicans decided illegal loyalty to cash carrying cronies has more clout than the people whom elected them.
