"..that is still being vetted." Really? He (General Petraeus) is not allowed to speak to the press. (click title for long version)
"As a former intell officer.,,," She is out of line and had no authority to speak for anyone because she took her thesis, while a mistress, and turned it into a book. She was on a real power trip and enjoying."...I have never experienced sexual harassment..."/ So, as a mistress she was never harassed in her capacity. Makes it simple.
Oh, Grover. I love it when you talk dirty.
He used the expression of toddlers — though mine preferred “poop head” — to describe Mitt Romney on CBS’s “This Morning”
His point was that Obama won but didn’t win mandate for raising taxes. He won, Norquist, head of Americans for Tax Reform, said because he wasn’t Romney.
In other words, we didn’t want a “poppy head” in the White House.
“The president was elected on the basis that he was not Romney and that Romney was a poopy head and you should vote against Romney,” Norquist said.
Let's move the disbelief of the USA political Right Wing forward. They have no clue as to the best interests of the country.

....To the dismay of the conservative movement, (click here) on virtually every burning issue that preoccupies the right, the country has moved steadily leftward. Election Day exit polling found, by a margin of 49 to 46, that a plurality of voters supported same-sex marriage. The same survey found that 59 percent of voters believe abortion should be legal in all (29 percent) or most (30 percent) cases, while only 36 percent believe it should be illegal in most (23 percent) or all (13 percent) cases....
The demographics of the country have been changing. The Democratic Party is the only place that is reflected. There may be some political third parties that recognize some of these changes, but, none have embraced without pre-condition the entire changing face of America.
It is time the Republicans get out of the way of the country and respond to its challenges.

Did I tell or did I tell you.
Some time ago the British tried to say the additional sea ice around Antarctica was good news.
NOT.
I said it as soon as the British report came out and now guess what? I was correct the entire time.
The net loss of sea ice globally isn't even the worst of it. The new phenomena at Antarctica is proof there is a changing climate and it is not good news.
I've only been actively assessing the arctic areas and storms of Earth for over twelve years. I mean for real. How many others have done this relentlessly day in an day out. I know my planet.
By the way, Hurricane Sandy is the largest storm in history.
NOT.

...Two decades (click here) of measurements show that changing wind patterns around Antarctica have caused a small increase in sea ice, the result of cold winds off the continent blowing ice away from the coastline.
"Until now these changes in ice drift were only speculated upon using computer models," said Paul Holland at the British Antarctic Survey. "Our study of direct satellite observations shows the complexity of climate change.
"The Arctic is losing sea ice five times faster than the Antarctic is gaining it, so, on average, the Earth is losing sea ice very quickly. There is no inconsistency between our results and global warming."
The extent of sea ice is of global importance because the bright ice reflects sunlight far more than the ocean that melting uncovers, meaning temperature rises still further....

The media is operating in a contextual vacuum about the resignation of Petraeus.
Hurricane Sandy on October 25, 2012.
Emails surrounding the initial investigation came from someone in the State Department.
Hello?
The complaints surrounding his resignation are inappropriate and the political Right Wing is seeking leverage in any way they can. The ranting is about trying to prove the nation is at risk under this administration. The Republicans are leading the charge to find and construct "High Crimes and Misdemeanors."
The resignation is not hideous, it is the ranting over it that is hideous.
I do not believe Ms. Broadwell is emotionally stable. Threatening a State Department employee is outrageous, not simply odd. The content of the emails is irrelevant. What is threatening to one is not threatening to another. An FBI agent is allowed to have friends, are allowed to have conversations with those friends and to react to alarming news from a friend. This is not about rivalry between the FBI and the CIA. This is about a State Department employee receiving emails she perceived as threatening.
The exploitation of the topic is hideous. The entire situation is being politicized by a desperate Republican Party to scared to admit they don't have the nation's best interest at the heart of their party. They are plutocrats through and through and they are trying ANYTHING to re-establish their legitimacy by doing what they complain the Democrats did during the last election, define the candidate. This is about casting doubt across the spectrum of the DNC and attempt to remove the President from office for the next four years.
It was someone who said, "You have to have a plan for the Vice President, too." This is the worst of the Republicans doing what they do best, being scared of their own reality.
David Petraeus engaged in an extramarital affair believing he could control it and he could not. He resigned from a very sensitive USA intelligence position and there were lots of reason for that to occur. When a man believes he can control the world surrounding him regardless of its wrongful content that is a dangerous understanding that transcends his life and not just his immediate relationships. It was time for Petraeus to leave.
President Obama has important work to do and finding a replacement for Petraeus is one of them. He needs to go forward with the next four years and not allow distraction by the GOP to the nation's problems.

With President Barack Obama (click here) back in the White House for a second term, NASA is reportedly getting ready to reveal plans to send astronauts back to the moon and possibly even to build an orbiting base around Earth's satellite.
It's been speculated for some time that the space agency has been mulling the construction of a floating Moon base that would serve as a launching site for manned missions to Mars and other destinations more distant than any humans have traveled to so far....
