Reason Number One for the impeachment of George Walker Bush and Richard Cheney - The 'condition' of the nation

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of$1.42 billion per day since September 29, 2006!

Market slumps on new US credit fears (click here)
The Australian share market fell by its largest amount in two months amid renewed concerns about credit markets.
A warning by equipment company Caterpillar that the housing slump in the US was starting to spread to other parts of the economy saw US shares fall at the end of the week.
The domestic market followed suit this morning, with shares in most sectors losing value.
At 11.30am AEST, the All Ordinaries Index shed almost 2 per cent to 6,591.
Stocks exposed to the US economy suffered the most, with Macquarie Bank falling by about 4 per cent, while James Hardie Industries was down by almost 2.5 per per cent....

Minorities bear biggest load of subprime loans (click here)

Article Last Updated: 10/16/2007 09:56:17 PM CDT
Minnesota ranked No. 12 in the nation last year for how frequently minority homebuyers got high-interest-rate subprime home loans.
Of all the mortgages made to minority homebuyers in Minnesota in 2006, 42 percent were high-rate subprime loans compared with 17 percent for white homebuyers, according to the Annual Minority Lending Report out Tuesday by Richmond, Va.-based Genworth Financial Inc., an insurance company, and Compliance Technologies, a Washington, D.C.-based mortgage-lending consultant.
The Minnesota disparity is slightly wider than the nation's. Nationally, 39 percent of the mortgages minority homebuyers got were subprime compared with 18 percent for whites.
Home buying in Minnesota last year dropped off dramatically for all borrowers, the study also showed - more dramatically than it did for different groups nationally. Nationally, home buying activity picked up a slight 1 percent last year for African-Americans.
Neither the declines, which came as housing prices peaked locally, nor the disparities surprised local housing experts. That minority borrowers are more likely to get subprime loans has been well documented, experts agree, though they don't always agree on why.
Banks and mortgage lenders charge several percentage points more for subprime home loans to people they deem a higher risk because of dented credit or high debt-loads. Housing activists have long accused the country's mortgage lenders of unfairly targeting minority neighborhoods...

The AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations) has fractioned. Membership has dwindled. The AFL-CIO, Union Network International, and the National Education Association are boycotting Wal-Mart. Is this a good thing?
According to
this article, only a month ago three labor unions split from the AFL-CIO: The Service Employees International Union, The International brotherhood of Teamsters, and the United Food and Commercial Workers. These disaffiliations resulted in the AFL-CIO's loss of 4.6 million members....

Congress Turns Up Heat on United Space Alliance (click here)
Members of the United States Congress are turning up the heat on NASA and the United Space Alliance (USA) to stop their push to gut the economic security of America’s space program workforce. Last June, USA forced IAM members of Local 2061 at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center out on strike by demanding cuts in pension and other key benefits. NASA and USA are now making similar demands in other negotiations at the Houston Space Center.
Congress, who has oversight and budget powers over NASA, is taking notice. This week, Representative Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, spoke out from the floor of the House of Representatives. Kaptur called IAM members “among the most talented and trained workers in our Nation,” and questioned NASA and the United Space Alliance’s attempts to take away pensions from their workers, while USA’s CEO, Richard Covey, qualifies for at least three pensions himself. “I would ask Mr. Covey and the folks at USA Space Alliance to pay close attention because Congress is paying close attention,” said Kaptur.
“We built a great Nation when America had a system where workers could be confident that their wages would increase with increasing productivity and that their retirement years would be secure,” said Kaptur. “I would just say that the Nation is taking very close notice of an agency that gets a $16 billion budget whose top executives all get their pensions and now who hire subcontractors who are telling the very people who have their hands on the equipment down at the Kennedy Space Center that, sorry, you don't get the same type of consideration by the Government of the United States.”...

And when exactly was the REFORM to the bankruptcy laws passed? (click here) Prior to the collapse of the Sub-prime meltdown? Oh. And who are the primary people that suffered due to the subprime lending? Ah, huh. Who works for a living that lost everything they worked for? Who protects the wages that support housing sales?

Help Pass Bankruptcy Reform Bill (click here)
Two similar bills, one in the U.S. Senate and another in the House of Representatives are aimed at protecting the interests of workers and retirees in corporate bankruptcies.
“Wealthy executives get rewarded in bankruptcy for their failures while front-line workers shoulder the burden of corporate restructuring,” said Transportation GVP Robert Roach, Jr. “H.R. 3652, introduced by Representative John Conyers and S. 2092, introduced by Senator Richard Durbin, will address the inequities in the current bankruptcy law.”
IAM Representatives and airline members joined lawmakers at a U.S. Capitol press conference announcing the bills. All IAM members are asked to contact their Senators and Representative to urge their support for the “Protecting Employees and Retirees in Business Bankruptcies Act of 2007.” Messages can be sent directly from the IAM website by following this

Key components of the bill include barring companies from leaving pension plans for executives intact when the employees’ pension plan has been terminated, and requiring judicial review of a company’s foreign and domestic holdings in their entirety to determine whether relief from a labor agreement is warranted....

Bankruptcy Rates In United States On The Rise Ahead Of Reform Anniversary (click here)

October 10, 2007 9:10 a.m. EST
Ayinde O. Chase - AHN Staff

Denver, CO (AHN) - A Denver law firm specializing personal and professional bankruptcy says Colorado's bankruptcy cases are on a steady rise -- a bad sign for an economy already under pressure with the mortgage meltdown. Next Monday marks the second anniversary of the bankruptcy reform bill when Congress voted to make declaring bankruptcy more difficult for consumers.
The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 was originally designed to reduce fraud within the bankruptcy system and deter people from filing bankruptcy by adding more legal stipulations and stringently enforced deadlines. While the bill has made filing for bankruptcy more difficult in procedurally it has not been the strong deterrent the bill's authors had hoped for.
Bankruptcy cases plunged to a 20-year low in the first three months of 2006, reflecting the passage of the tough new bankruptcy law, but now the pace of new filings is steadily rising. According to Lundquist Consulting, an organization that tracks bankruptcy trends, courts now see an average of 2,000 new filings a day -- four times the number that were filed in November 2005 after the bankruptcy law went into effect....

I guess a review and analysis of the unemployment rate in the USA will have to wait. But, to scan the papers today, the federal authorities are stating the rate is stable, while states are reporting a rise in some instances since September. Best I can do right now, perhaps another weekend. It would seem as though the 'stats' are top secret due to priorities of war. I mean that is the excuse for every other action of the Bush Regime. Every law of the land falls under "Eminent Domain" to be manipulated 'at a time of war.' Why else continue a war of genocide against the Shia?

The war economy and the costs of war, part II (click at title of entry)

By Cedric Muhammad-Guest Columnist-Updated Oct 4, 2007, 12:15 am

...History will record the years of record budget surpluses, during the Presidency of Bill Clinton, as one of the greatest political opportunities ever squandered. The unexploited opportunity of the American government to utilize tax revenues and fiscal policy to grow the economy, fund certain social programs and pay down its enormous debt, is one that many will live to regret. The decision of President George W. Bush to go to war in Iraq, may be recorded as the event that ensured the breaking of the American economy.
If I were forced to list the factors—all things staying the same as they are now—that make it virtually impossible for the American economy to survive this decade, unbroken, I would point to: 1) the continued fall of the dollar (In September, the American currency reached record lows against the euro and Canadian dollar); 2) the coming boom in the number of Americans who qualify for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits (“We face a demographic tsunami,” says U.S. Comptroller General David Walker); 3) the Federal Reserve policy that effectively mandates a certain level of unemployment (this means that America will never be able to create enough jobs for the poor, and increasingly middle-class); and 4) the increasing commitment to military spending...

Hurricane Katrina: The Drive: New Orleans Lower 9th Ward

Reason Number Two for the impeachment of George Walker Bush and Richard Cheney - There was no reason for this. None. This is deliberate negligence.

This is a record number of deaths from ANY hurricane to strike the USA. Ever. In recorded history. Realize as time has gone by over decades of USA history, the population of nearly every region of the nation has grown. With that comes responsibility to protect the people that settle their lives in these areas. Births out number deaths in any state of the USA.

This is pure negligence of government and gross misconduct by Bush's Homeland Security. There just isn't anyone else to blame. When Homeland Security was created by Georgie himself, it took overwhelming power away from nearly every other agency of the government filing it under one massive agency 'designed' to protect the American people. It's time to dismantle an agency that has become a place to house cronies that pick and choose priorities and distributions of monies reflecting those priorities.

Katrina Death Toll Inches to 1,420 (click here)
Update: The unofficial Katrina death toll has risen to 4,098 as of March 13, 2007. See my March 30, 2007 post, Katrina Death Toll Passes 4,000, for details. A list of 1,195 people who were killed in Hurricane Katrina is available on this website here. The hard to find Russian neo-Nazi beheading video taking the net by storm is on this blog here. Updated August 15, 2007:The death toll from Hurricane Katrina increased again on January 27 when officials found the body of a woman east of New Orleans in hard-hit St. Bernard Parish, bringing the Louisiana total to 1,104, an increase of three bodies over the previous total three days prior. This according to a very unfortunately worded CNN headline, "Another Body Swells Katrina Death Toll". Note that since the body has been there for five months, a verb other than "swells" would have been more appropriate. In an 18-day period prior to January 27, authorities have counted 28 new deaths from Katrina, or about 1-2 new deaths per day. Four months after the storm, that is pretty amazing....

There was no way, Michael Brown was qualified to save the lives of people. With every storm occurring to Florida during Bush's presidency, he personally went to Florida to promote FEMA's ability to serve Americans. He fully knew the extent a storm could kill and cause damage to American lives, yet, when there was a Category Five storm bearing down on the Gulf States he completely ignored the possiblity of deaths and devastation because it served his political purposes. He immediately blamed the Democratic leadership in Lousiana and New Orleans when it was a national responsibility to empower agencies to declare emergencies through his new CABINET level agency, Homeland Security.

As the link to this entry provides, the deaths and hardship caused by Katrina is disproportionately assigned to minorities little able to secure their safety without direct federal government intervention. That was known by emergency drills run prior to the arrival of Katrina of authorites all the way to the federal government. All necessary provisions should have been in place long before Katrina stuck since there was never a concern for the levees (click here) or the wetlands (click here) until after the tragedy occurred.

Will United States Sovereignty Be Lost? Part 2 of 2

Reason Number Three for the impeachment of George Walker Bush and Richard Cheney - abuse of power and protectionism of political allies

Above is commentary that reveals the dangers of having an Executive Branch that pledges allegiance to 'a party' and their cronies rather than the best interests of the American people.

The Law of the Sea has been neglected by Bush while pursued in recent days because he has been successful in maintaining high levels of CO2 for the past seven years, escalating levels with higher emissions than past years. But, the intentions of his adminisration is to exploit the oil and gas reserves in the Arctic Ocean as it melts away. The danger to species extinction is incredible and there is complete disregard by this administration to that effect.

When listening to the video by a member of The Heritage Foundation, kindly listen carefully for hate of all living creatures and the defined demand for a USA that has overwhelming military force regardless of it's necessity and an Executive Branch that can direct the powers of the USA without consensus of the USA legislature. The distain of life other than human as well as the USA Constitution is clearly in those words if one pays close attention to it.

The article below is a pure unadultered manipulation by Bush cronies. To appear to descent against 'The Party;' organizations like The Heritage Foundation leverages opinion of the electorate hence leveraging the actions of the Executive Branch.

George Bush's deference to international law
Posted: October 19, 20071:00 a.m. Eastern
A case now before the U.S. Supreme Court proves why the Senate must defeat the United Nations' Law of the Sea Treaty. The oral arguments heard this month by the justices didn't mention the treaty, but the parallels are powerful.
The case concerns Jose Medellin, a Mexican national on death row in Texas. Medellin was convicted and sentenced to death after he confessed in 1993 to the rape and murder of two teenage girls in Houston.
Long after Medellin had received full due process of the U.S. legal system, in 2003 the Mexican government sued the United States in the International Court of Justice. That is an agency of the United Nations that sits at The Hague in the Netherlands.
In 2004, the International Court of Justice ruled 14-1 in favor of Mexico and ordered the United States to give Medellin another hearing, or perhaps another trial, at which he could receive the assistance of Mexican consular employees. At that time, the International Court of Justice was headed by a judge from the People's Republic of China.
A 1963 treaty known as the Vienna Convention, which the United States and Mexico signed and ratified, provides that aliens who are accused of crimes in a foreign country are entitled to request the assistance of consular officials from their home country. Medellin never requested such assistance until long after he was tried, convicted and sentenced, and after all his appeals were denied.

This is called corruption in government and is very dangerous and a direct threat to the USA Constitution. One might recall the very close ties of the now Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to The Heritage Foundation revealed during hearings.

Reason Number Four to impeach George Walker Bush and Richard Cheney - circumventing the USA Constitution

George Walker Bush and Richard Cheney has developed an undermining of the authority of the USA Constitution by circumventing the legislature and setting in place their own dictatorship in departments that are suppose to serve the people of this nation.
...He is acting Attorney General Peter D. Keisler, who is running the Justice Department until a new attorney general is confirmed by the Senate to replace Alberto R. Gonzales. Mr. Keisler had been in charge of the department’s civil division.
The No. 2 and No. 3 officials are also acting — Deputy Attorney General Craig S. Morford and Associate Attorney General Gregory G. Katsas. More than a quarter of the department’s 93 United States attorneys around the country are “acting.”
At the top of the Department of Homeland Security, there is an acting general counsel, acting under secretary for national protection and acting assistant secretary for strategic plans. At the Department of Health and Human Services, the $600 billion-a-year Medicare and Medicaid programs have had an acting administrator since last fall.
Scholars and other researchers who study the federal bureaucracy say the situation in those agencies is becoming increasingly common elsewhere in the Bush administration....

justin timberlake ft. janet jackson - rock your body

Reason Number Five to Impeach Bush and Cheney - The gross misuse of power by the FCC in over inflating charges of media to insure crony satisfaction.

The above video of Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake contains brief nudity, an error within the performance. Don't begin video if choice is otherwise, thank you. I realize this was an event that offended many people during a time when family was in the vacinity of the TV, but, to condemn a media station attempting to cause irreparable damage is grossly inappropriate of the USA goverment.

The FCC has been out of line in supporting media services and finding solutions to events such as this. There is nothing stating the American public has to tolerate offensive scenes of any kind during sensitive family hours, but, the role of the FCC is to provide guidelines to enforce while ? perhaps ? time delay of live events are employed to insure those guidelines are met.

The FCC is "W"rong in attempting on all counts to cause harm to a companies reputation and fiscal stability as this violates Freedom of Speech with narrowing of available access to any audience.

Also upholds fine for Super Bowl ‘wardrobe malfunction’

WASHINGTON - A government crackdown on indecent programming resulted in a proposed fine of $3.6 million against dozens of CBS stations and affiliates on Wednesday — a record penalty from the Federal Communications Commission.
The FCC said an episode of the CBS crime drama “
Without a Trace” that aired in December 2004 was indecent. It cited the graphic depiction of “teenage boys and girls participating in a sexual orgy.”...

The FCC under the direction of Michael Powell oversaw unprecidented control of the media and it continues with the imposing of regulation that would 'design' the choices consumers are getting. Since when does the FCC get involved with ? free trade ?

The draconian misuse of fedeal power over the American consumer and the controlled misdirection of the media is attempting to limit consumer choices to those politically favorable to the Republican Party. The American people are losing their freedoms due to extremists and incompetents placed in authority in DC by the Executive Branch.

FCC's Martin pushes 'must-carry' up Hill (click here)
FCC chief stresses 'meaningful benefit' of more choices
By Brooks Boliek
Oct 18, 2007
WASHINGTON -- The nation's top TV regulator told lawmakers Wednesday that the best way for the government to ensure a successful transition to digital TV is to require cable operators to carry all the channels a broadcaster offers after analog transmission ceases in 2009.
A "multicast must-carry" regime for digital TV would turn a negative use-it-or-lose-it campaign by government and industry into a positive, FCC chairman Kevin Martin told the House Energy and Commerce Committee's telecommunications panel.
"The message that we have been sending is simply not appealing -- 'You need to buy a new box, or you'll lose TV altogether
,' " Martin testified. "But what if instead the message to consumers was, 'If you get a new digital television or a converter box, you will be able to watch a wide array of new free programming?' Then what was a burden for consumers becomes a meaningful benefit."...

Complete abandonment of the vaccine against the Bird Flu with exception of bare bones first responders and military.
Biologists tagging, checking birds to track avian flu in state (click title to entry, thank you)

Waterford (AP) _ State environmental workers are capturing, tagging and tracking hundreds of birds to check for cases of avian flu virus. The wildlife biologist who heads the Department of Environmental Protection's migrating game bird program says they're about halfway to their goal of 750 birds. Connecticut has more than 17,000 registered backyard poultry flocks. Many of them are free-ranging and could come into contact with wild birds carrying the virus, which could cause serious economic losses if not prevented. Officials say two samples so far have shown evidence of the low pathogenic form of the bird flu -- but not the highly pathogenic and much more worrisome type.

Article below was published 27 minutes ago from today's USA Today:

In the early weeks of a flu pandemic, the first to receive scarce supplies of vaccine will include the military, medical and emergency workers, pregnant women and babies — nearly 23 million people — under a draft federal plan to be outlined Tuesday in Washington.
At the back of the pack, in a pandemic of the sort that killed 20 million Americans in 1918, would be 74 million sick and elderly adults and 122 million healthy people ages 19-64.
The plan was developed by a government working group that met with scientists and business and community representatives over several months. It provides guidelines for pandemic planners and offers a glimpse into some agonizing decisions that could be necessary in the context of a swift-moving infectious disease and a shortage of protective vaccine.
"Once a pandemic starts, vaccine will come rolling off the line in lots, so there has to be a priority scheme on who would receive it first," says William Raub, science adviser to Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt....

It's a known fact, terrorist networks reap income from opium crops. So...like...what is this already?

Afghan President Hamid Karzai called on 10 Muslim-majority nations gathered in Herat to work together to end terrorism, which he said is tarnishing Islam, and boost their economies.

The Executive Branch has completely abandoned allies, leaving only a contingency of US troops with NATO. That abandonment directly caused the agility of the Taliban and al Qaeda in Pakistan resulting in bombings in Madrid and London and the return to terrorist networks funded by opium crops at the compliments of warlords to Afghanistan..

HERAT, AFGHANISTAN (AFP) — Afghan President Hamid Karzai called on 10 Muslim-majority nations gathered here to work together to end terrorism, which he said is tarnishing Islam, and boost their economies.
Karzai was addressing a meeting of foreign ministers and senior officials from nations in the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO), a grouping of Central Asian states and regional heavyweights Iran, Pakistan and Turkey.
"Terrorism, poverty, organised crime, economic problems and corruption are among significant obstacles to development and our regional cooperation," the president told about 100 delegates meeting in the western city of Herat.
"We, the Muslims, must show the true image of Islam to the world and this will be impossible unless we eliminate terrorists whereever they are and fight them collectively," he said....

US Military walking among opium poppies after close call with suicide bomber. Of course NATO and the Brits are attempting to take care of the matter in Afghanistan as the incompetency of the USA just DID NOT want to be bothered with such trivial matters as actually eradicating al Qaeda.

It would seem the poverty left by the USA has so concerned the Gulf nations, THEY are taking up the rehabilitation of the Poppy Culture to destabilize terrorists and increase the CHANCES that Karzai's Afghanistan can survive.

Some 15,300 hectares of poppy were destroyed in Afghanistan in 2006, but cultivation increased by 59% and opium production by 49% compared to 2005. In 2007, a total of 19,047 hectares were destroyed but again there was an increase of 17% in cultivation....

Military lags on suicide prevention, report says (click here)
- Published 12:00 am PDT Sunday, October 21, 2007
In 2006, 30 soldiers and Marines committed suicide while serving in the war in Iraq, the most in any year since it began in 2003, according to information released by the Defense Manpower Data Center in response to a Freedom of Information Act request by The Bee.
This year is on track to meet or surpass that number with at least 27 suicides so far in 2007.
Soldiers and Marines are being required to serve on the front lines for longer than any time in U.S. military history, according to a report on mental health by the Army's Office of the Surgeon General.
During World War II and Vietnam, service members were regularly and routinely withdrawn from war zones for rest, something that's not happening in this war, the report says.
The report also deemed the military's suicide prevention training not applicable in a combat environment. And with only one behavioral health specialist per 1,000 service members – one per 700 soldiers and 2,000 Marines – the question is whether service members would be able to access help even if they overcame the military stigmas surrounding mental health issues.
The Army responded to increasing suicide rates by committing several months ago to increase its behavioral health staff, although the number actually hired so far is "quite small," Col. Elspeth Ritchie, behavioral health psychiatry consultant to the U.S. Army Surgeon General, said during a media roundtable. He said mental health professionals are in short supply.
The Army has extended the leaves of soldiers deployed to the Middle East for 15 months from 15 to 18 days.

Army suicides hit highest level since 1993 (click here)
83 soldiers killed themselves in 2005, up from 67 the previous year
WASHINGTON - The number of U.S. Army soldiers who took their own lives increased last year to the highest total since 1993, despite a growing effort by the Army to detect and prevent suicides.
In 2005, a total of 83 soldiers committed suicide, compared with 67 in 2004, and 60 in 2003 — the year U.S.-led forces invaded Iraq. Four other deaths in 2005 are being investigated as possible suicides but have not yet been confirmed. The totals include active duty Army soldiers and deployed National Guard and Reserve troops.
“Although we are not alarmed by the slight increase, we do take suicide prevention very seriously,” said Army spokesman Col. Joseph Curtin....

That last statement is easily disputed by the accounts of lack of mental health care to returning veterans and those that never made it out of the military before they died at the will of their own dispair.
The Frank Rich article also clearly spells out how the Executive Branch corruption of the military linked to contractors has lead to the death of an officer that never intended that dishonor for his life or his family.
When does it end? Who will be the next officer of our military to suffer due to the designs Bush and Cheney corruption brings to their lives? When will the members of the House and Senate see the increase of danger to our national security due to the high level of corruption within this Executive Branch? When it's too late?

Reason Number Nine for impeachment of George Walker Bush and Richard Cheney - Playing politics with human life is a violation of same.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of Calif., right, meets with Dara Wilkerson and her daughter Bethany, 2, of Tampa, Fla., on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, Bethany who was born with a serious heart condition and relies on State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) for her health coverage.

...How did President Bush hold off attempts by the Democrat-run House to override his veto of a popular children's health-insurance bill? He called it a foot in the door to "government-run health care."
He says that like it's a bad thing. In fact, as the Breaux anecdote illustrates, the public has been very supportive of Medicare for the elderly, Medicaid for the poor and the State Children's Health Insurance Program, or SCHIP, for children whose family income is too high for Medicaid but too low to afford private coverage. Nevertheless, the president and his allies are reduced to reminding people that, "Pssst, it's government health care so you're supposed to be afraid of it."
That argument failed to prevent Congress from passing a bill to expand SCHIP by about 3.4 million children to cover 10 million. A healthy majority of lawmakers refused to believe that key Republican backers of the bill like Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa and Orrin Hatch of Utah somehow had become socialists....

George Walker Bush PERSONALLY played politics with the lives of the children in the USA. He alone signed the veto to S-Chip as a measure to maintain whatever is left of his extremist conservative network. Playing politics with human life as the ONLY member of the USA federal government to defeat this bill, is imposing the political will of an extremist on the lives of American children. He needs to impeached. Can be there a doubt?

The American Health Insurance industry has failed the people of the USA miserably. Children have never been more at danger of poor health insurance and the whims of CEOs that seek profits over their obligations. There has been NO EFFORT by the Executive Branch to bring to justice CEOs of health insurance companies that have been proven by testimony of their own employees to cause the death of those they were supposed to protect. The reason for those unnecessary deaths was to reap unreasonable profits at the expense of our nation, it's populous and the families and fiscal well being of those families. What the health insurance companies have done is not only cause deaths unnecessarily but put the burden of those negligent decisions on the backs of families, states and now the deep concern of the American people.

The issue regarding the lack of compassion over profits by the health insurance companies and the gross negligence of the Executive Branch to pursue justice for those deaths amounts to a huge violation of human rights. The States' Attorney Generals need to pursue the allogations of families facing endangerment of family members and prosecute those insurance companies that have already committed deaths. The 'idea' that a citizen could be endangered of life and limb by a health insurance company after reasonable appeal by their family, amounts to attempted murder and needs to be prosecuted to stop the heinous political indulgences of the federal Executive Branch.

Reason Number Ten for Impeachment of George Walker Bush and Richard Cheney

The Bureau of Land Management’s plan to open more of its land at Rogue River in Oregon to logging worries environmentalists.
GALICE, Ore. — A 1990s’ truce that quieted the bitter wars between loggers and environmentalists in the Pacific Northwest is in danger of collapse.
With that truce, made final in 1994 by the Clinton administration, the northern spotted owl, a threatened species, seemed to be getting the breathing space it needed to regroup. While some land was opened to loggers, nearly twice as much was set aside for owls’ hunting grounds. But more than a decade later, their numbers continue to decline faster than expected.
Now the truce, the Northwest Forest Plan, is in jeopardy as one of the parties to it, the
Bureau of Land Management, is rethinking its participation. It is proposing a threefold increase in logging on its 2.2 million acres in western Oregon, with greater increases in the old-growth stands that are the owls’ preferred territory. The land agency’s action would reduce by 10 percent the territory covered by the Northwest Forest Plan....

The current administration is raping the resources of this country; natural or otherwise. This is some of the most precious protected lands in the nation including ANWR. The Bush Administration has deliberately undermined 'good science' at the Bureau of Land Management while playing footsie with Abramoff under the direction of Former Secretary Gale Norton. There has been assault against the Endangered Species Act and a complete disregard for it's directives, including, delisting the Bald Eagle with remaining concerns by most that have watched it's progression to larger numbers.
This is an administration that is out of control, circumvents the legislature and considers the executive branch his personal playground.

"They Can't Take That Away from Me" written by G. and I. Gershwin and sang by the great Ella Fitzgerald

There are many many crazy things
That will keep me loving you
And with your permission
May I list a few

The way you wear your hat
The way you sip your tea
The memory of all that
No they can't take that away from me

The way your smile just beams
The way you sing off key
The way you haunt my dreams
No they can't take that away from me

We may never ever meet again, on that bumpy road to love
Still I'll always, always keep the memory of

The way you hold your knife
The way we danced till three
The way you changed my life

No they can't take that away from me
No they can't take that away from me

The way your smile just beams
The way you sing off key
The way you haunt my dreams
No they can't take that away from me

We may never ever meet again, on that bumpy road to love
Still I'll always, always keep the memory of

The way you hold your knife
The way we danced till three
The way you changed my life

No you can't take that away
You can't take that away from me
No you can't take that away from me

First a word about Pakistan and this "Loose Nuke" Nonsense. It's hysteria and rings of a lack of confidence in Bhutto's return. Get over it !

In mourning: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto (l.), prayed Sunday with women whose husbands were killed in a bomb attack on her welcome procession David Guttenfelder

The Christian Science Monitor is a Neocon newsprint. They are highly inflammatory. This article REEKS of prejudice against the good judgment of all Pakistanis. They don't know what they are talking about and neither do others that are screaming 'invade Pakistan' because the terrorists will take over the nukes. Nonsense !

Benazir Bhutto loves Pakistan otherwise she would not have risked coming back. She could have easily remained in Britain and have done what the Russian Oligarch is doing, pandering to the West, while playing them for money and putting up a good front to look "Western friendly and Anti-Nation of Origin." That is not what she is doing nor will she.

The Former Prime Minister Bhutto came back to Pakistan in hopes of stabilizing a country in anarchy. If one recalls there have been many assassination attempts of Musharraf. Mrs. Bhutto came back to Pakistan with an authority the people of Pakistan recognize. She stated she returned to Pakistan in a power sharing agreement with President Musharraf.

THAT WAS 'POWER SHARING.'

The focus of the fomer Prime Minister's return is to bring about 'good' change in a manner that will stabilize Pakistan, stop the unrest in the tribal areas, return democracy as well as the esteem of women. Under her watchful eye the women of Pakistan had their own bank and their own direction as well as being loyal and generous wives and mothers.

I am confident the former Prime Minister will seek to be an influence and possibly return her citizenship to goals that will include an election to a Pakistani leadership of one kind or another, perhaps the Parliament. Her greeting alone was enough to explain the concern, but, the last aspect to any of her ambitions is to have Pakistan so 'unsecure' that it would allow a coupe of perhaps the Taliban or Osama bin Laden himself.

The other half of this Musharraf. He needs to respect her and investigate the crimes recently against her and act to secure her safety within the country no different than any other citizen. If he can accomplish a respectful tone toward her, Pakistan could easily move into a stable venue of seeking democracy and solidify party structures to carry out the business of Pakistan with all people represented and empowered. If Musharraf is unable or unwilling to cooperate in the manner sought by the former Prime Minister than perhaps there could be speculation to his intentions and loyalty of Pakistan. The two should meet and comfort the people.

This attack is due to Turkey's war mongering. It wouldn't have happened otherwise.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari

Turkey Shells North Iraq Border -Kurdish Official (click here)
Iraqi Foreign Minister said last week he wanted members of PKK fighting for a Kurdish homeland to leave northern Iraq as soon as possible.
The Turkish military shelled the Iraq border region early on Sunday, but there were no casualties, a Kurdish military official said.
While Turkish shelling of the border area is not unusual, tension has been growing since Turkey's parliament authorised troops last Wednesday to conduct cross-border incursions into northern Iraq to hunt down rebels using the region as a base.
The leader of Iraq's largely autonomous Kurdish region said it would defend itself if Turkish forces launched an incursion and attacked Kurdish targets....

The USA and Iraq does not have to respond except to seek those out that have committed the crimes of murder. If Turkey invades Iraq they are the enemies of the Iraqi nation and the people there. The USA State Department should be holding continuous talks with Turkey and the Northern Iraqi Kurds to resolve these issues.

This is NOT an act of war. Israel has attacks like this all time. They are not right, they are not legal, but, it is NOT an act of war.

Turkey Demands U.S. Action Against Kurdish Rebels in Iraq (click here)
The Turkish prime minister said he expects the U.S. to take action against Kurdish rebels hiding in Northern Iraq, reported Reuters, in a sign Turkey may reconsider its parliament's vote to attack separatists in the neighboring country."We expect the coalition forces in Iraq, above all the Americans, to take steps in the current situation," Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan told Turkish television late on Friday. "These steps must be taken to ensure we get good results in the fight against the terrorist organization in northern Iraq."Erdogan said he expected more assistance from the U.S. than from Iraq, reported the news service. Baghdad, he said, has little clout in the Kurdish controlled northern region.Washington and Baghdad have urged Ankara to cancel its plans for military operations in Northern Iraq for fear it could destabilize the region. The Turkish government, however, is under public pressure after a series of attacks launched by the Kurdish Workers Party, PKK, from Iraq.According to Reuters, Erdogan said he would discuss anti-PKK measures with U.S. President George W. Bush when they meet in Washington in early November.Western diplomats told Reuters that Turkey is reluctant to attack Kurds in Iraq because it could disrupt security, economic and diplomatic ties. Parliament's vote this week would keep the separatists guessing and put pressure on Washington and Baghdad to take action.

The worm has turned and the Shi'ite majority in Iraq is feeling the sting of the USA genocide. If Turkey follows this incursion with an invasion they will be inviting Iran, Russia and potentially China and Pakistan to war. Turkey needs to withdraw from northern Iraq and the Kurdish province therein, return to it's borders and defend it's sovereignty. The Shi'ites feel threatened in a way they never have before and in order for sanctions to work in Iran and avoid a larger destabilization of the region, the Turks need to stop their border crossings. Such incursions are aggression and if continued, there is no doubt it will be met with force they are not bargaining for.

Iraqi Minister Backs Iran on Nuclear Research (click here)

BAGHDAD, Iraq, May 26 — Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari of Iraq today endorsed the right of Iran to pursue the "technological and scientific capabilities" needed to create nuclear power for peaceful purposes, in the first high-level meeting between officials from the new Iraqi government and its eastern neighbor.
But Mr. Zebari's statement, made at a news conference after a meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, appeared deliberately ambiguous and reflected the complex position of Iraq between the United States, which wants Iran to abandon efforts to enrich uranium, and Iran, which says it needs enrichment to create fuel for nuclear reactors.
The meetings in Baghdad were the first opportunity for the new government of Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki of Iraq to tackle what is sure to be one of the most divisive issues facing his government: the relationship and influence that Iran wields in Iraq, which was a bitter enemy of Iran when Saddam Hussein was in power but whose new government contains many Shiite leaders who want close ties to Tehran....
