Fifteen commerce hubs in the USA will regionalize economic growth and feed the local economies. As a matter of fact, if the commerce centers work with freight trains between hubs it will cut down a great deal on carbon emissions.

It is an interesting speech. He is being very inclusive. I congratulate President Obama.

Didn't expect that one. $9.00 per hour minimum wage. He is correct. It is about time the Working Poor is still working, but, not poor.

President Obama is correct, education and training is still a vital reality to returning to employment for many Americans. There are jobs in the USA unfilled because our populous is not ready to fill them. That is simply wrong. What are we waiting for? There are many people ready to work, they simply need to be trained.

I am ready for them all to come home from overseas deployment in a war zone. It is going to be necessary to have training ready for them to step into good paying jobs. We owe that to them. War no more sounds good to me.

Al Qaeda is a shadow of its former self. It is more sporatic and opportunistic than it was in 2001. It is still based in deep poverty and peoples unsophisticated to discern their own reality. There are fewer leaders that are more warlords than terror leaders, but, they do not hold the same power as al Qaeda had before.

Non-proliferation. Very good. It has to be more high profile. The past has dictated an overture of aggression by the USA, when in fact we have been acting in many, many ways to move people forward to better lives. The hostile areas of the world are showcased in the media and not the places where the USA is making strides with humanitarian aid. The Non-Proliferation efforts of the President has to become a kitchen table topic across the USA so people know we are not only warring all the time, but, we are a benevolent people seeking to be more so.

That $1.00 per day theme has been in existence far too long. True as it is, the reality has existed in the world far too long. Burma is a magnificent example of the power of peace when the USA unites with the United Nations.

The Middle East. A good place for President Obama to start is with the King of Jordan. He is striving to solve problems alone these days and that can't be good.

The military and their families are the country's obligation. If we can't make that commitment, then we don't have a right to demand their dedication and loyalty.

It ain't a democracy without large participation of voters. Non-partisan commission to improve the voting experience in America. If multi-block lines and wait times in hours after hours isn't proof enough how much voting means to the people of the USA then I don't know what does.

We do not need 40 caliber weapons on the streets of the USA. There has to be limits.

It was a good speech. I liked most of it.

I want to hear bipartisanship from Rubio. I want to hear agreement and willingness to work with the President.

I don't care about his person aesthetics. Oh, real good. Let's divide and conquer. Here we go, grandstanding. Political ideology and no answer for the problems.

Ideas, Mr. Rubio, not ideologies. You want to try to solve some problems, Marko? It would be good, because, all I am hearing is ideology.

Boohoo, boohoo; I hate the way the President doesn't say anything but nice things about everything I hold dear.

Marko there is no such thing as safe hydro fracturing. Public lands belong to us, not the petroleum industry and we would like some left over intact for beauty with untouched wildlife.

Oh, dear, the National Debt is destroying the Middle Class. I'll be darn.

Medicare needs funding and a cost contained health care system. Say those words, Mr. Rubio, "Cost Contained Health Care." You might like saying it. Ya know, rather than run away crony economics. Try saying that to, "I oppose runaway crony economics." Hopefully, you'll like saying that even more.

IF we can get our economy healthy again. Do you understand what economic hubs are Mr. Rubio? No? Look it up.

New born babies are Mr. Rubio's best friend tonight. Well, there are many, many Dreamers that were new born babies too, Mr. Rubio. Think about it.

Dreams. He must have said dreams at least four or five times by now. I think parents were holding babies when he mentioned it twice.

It was a lousy speech that said nothing. It was a campaign speech.
It was remarkable police work. Nothing short of bravery existed in these circumstances.

When one realizes how well armed and trained the gunman was, it is absolutely incredible police work.

Sympathies to all the families of those lost in this tragic episode in the USA gun culture.

If the media wants something else to talk about, the hostage that got away and called authorities will probably get the reward.

The police had to end this tragedy before dark. It would be a matter of infrared glasses and all kinds of stuff that would have to occur. The police did the right thing.

Desert Eagle .50 Caliber Handgun

The site where Dorner is most likely dead needs fire control.

If possible. People and safety come first, but, if the gunman is dead, the fire departments need to contain the fire for the benefit of the homes in the area. The last thing anyone needs is a forest fire if it can be prevented.

Looks like there won't be anymore body bags.

He had a 50 caliber gun? In the borders of the USA it is legal to carry 50 caliber guns?

A Dorner sighting.

The LA Times 15 minutes ago. Great police work.

February 12, 2013 |  1:12 pm
Christopher Dorner was engaged in a shootout with federal authorities in the Big Bear area Tuesday, a law enforcement source told The Times.
The shooting occurred after Dorner burglarized a home, tied up a couple and stole their car, the source said.
It was not immediately clear whether Dorner was in custody....

Dorner manhunt: Girls basketball scholarship honors slain couple (click here)
February 12, 2013 |  9:51 am

A girls basketball scholarship fund has been established in memory of Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence, an engaged couple allegedly gunned down by fugitive ex-cop Christopher Dorner, officials said Tuesday.

Quan, 28, an assistant women's basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton, was the daughter of Randal Quan of the Los Angeles Police Department, who represented Dorner at his termination hearing. Dorner was fired from the LAPD in 2009.

Lawrence, 27, had recently started working for USC's Department of Public Safety as an officer....

Mr. Dorner needs to turn himself in. He needs to stop his aggression.

If the Republicans didn't use every opportunity for politics that would be REAL GUTS. They are the epitome of a leaderless party.

Tough talk, where would the culture of fear and violence be without it?

John Boehner: Obama lacks ‘guts’ to lead (click here)

By BREANNA EDWARDS | 2/12/13 2:02 PM EST

...“He doesn’t have the courage to take on the liberal side of his own party,” Boehner (R-Ohio) said at a breakfast briefing ABC News reported. “He just doesn’t have the courage to lead when it comes to our long-term spending problem.”...

Ted Nugent? In the leadership of the Republican Party? The man that threatened the President of the United States while having a temper tantrum. And this is the pride of the Republicans? Nothing else needs to be said.

What a pair.

Short on doctors: The nation must increase its supply of physicians (click here)

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
August 17, 2012 12:03 am

...A recent New York Times article cited a projected shortage of 62,900 doctors by 2015. A shortage of more than 100,000 doctors is likely by 2025, the newspaper said, even as the federal health care reform prepares to extend coverage to 30 million more Americans starting in 2014.
Doctors retire faster than they're replaced. Baby boomers are aging. Medical advances are allowing people to live longer with high-maintenance diseases such as cancer and diabetes....

President Obama's willingness to address the nation's growing shortage of Physicians in his First Term was more than an act of bravery to his political career; it was dedication to the people of the USA.

There may have been a 2010 victory of extremists promising to undo the Affordable Care Act, but, the American people know now how vital the law is and how important President Obama has been to the future of our country.

The AAMC applauds the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling (click here) upholding virtually all of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  This law is an important step toward achieving the goal of ensuring that all Americans have access to health care.  However, we are closely examining the court’s ruling as it relates to the Medicaid expansion.

With 32 million newly insured Americans about to enter the health care system as a result of the ACA, addressing the nation’s physician shortage—projected to climb to more than 90,000 by 2020—is now more critical than ever.

Medical schools have increased their enrollments during the last six years in response to these shortage projections. But the fact remains:  The overall supply of U.S. physicians cannot expand unless Congress increases the number of federally funded residency training positions, a number that has been frozen since 1997.

As a result of today’s ruling, we urge Congress to move quickly to provide more federal support for additional doctor training to ensure that Americans have access to care—not just an insurance card.

Upholding the law also will allow the important work of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), and the programs funded by the Prevention and Public Health Fund to continue. Medical schools and teaching hospitals will continue their work through these and other efforts to lead innovation in health care delivery through education, clinical care, and research, helping ensure better care and greater access for all patients.

Brass Balls Barrasso is at it again.

The Senator doesn't 'get it.' Americans aren't interested in supporting hideous military spending even if there are jobs for President Obama to pivot to in his State of the Union address.

The people of the USA ain't interested in the Keystone XL Pipeline either. Years, Brassy has been attempting to satisfy his cronies for YEARS!

Barrasso: Keystone XL Pipeline Creates Jobs Now (click here)

“IT IS TIME THAT THE PRESIDENT STARTED TO SAY ‘YES’ AND STOPS SAYING ‘NO’ TO JOBS AND TO ENERGY.”

December 14, 2011

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) spoke on the floor of the U.S. Senate in support of the Keystone XL pipeline.
Excerpts of his remarks are below:
“The Keystone XL pipeline is one of the largest shovel-ready infrastructure projects in the United States.  It would bring oil from North Dakota and from Canada to refineries along the Gulf Coast and in the Midwest.
“The pipeline would strengthen America’s energy security and create tens of thousands of new jobs. These are good-paying jobs.
“Just consider what representatives of organized labor have had to say....

Organized labor is paying for the deaths from enormous insults to our country called Climate Crisis storms.

The NYSUT website also has a variety of information related to the storm and those affected by it.

The New York State Department of Financial Services also set up a special website to assist victims of the storm that includes complaint information for property and casualty carriers in New York state....

The Unions should learn from their own membership that the Climate Crisis is real the the XL Pipeline IS NOT THE ANSWER!

Enough.

Kim Jong Il surrounded himself with children and celebration.

It was a good place for North Korea to be. He didn't expect to carry out an escalated nuclear program because it would never be a successful defense of his country or countrymen.

USAID Assists North Korea in Denuclearization (click here)

FrontLines: March 2008

Since October 2007, USAID has contracted for the purchase and transportation of 100,000 metric tons of heavy fuel oil to North Korea in support of the Administration’s efforts in the ongoing Six-Party Talks aimed at the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
The fuel is part of a multinational action-for-action agreement in which 1 million tons of heavy fuel oil, or equivalent equipment and materials, is to be provided to North Korea in exchange for various steps toward complete denuclearization.
The Six Party participants include China, South Korea, North Korea, Japan, Russia, and the United States. The South Korean Government provided an initial delivery of 50,000 metric tons of heavy fuel oil in July 2007. Since then, China, the United States, and Russia have each followed with fuel oil shipments. China and South Korea have also provided equipment and materials to refurbish North Korea’s hydro and thermal power plants.

While the idiots Bush and Cheney spoke poorly of North Korea, the people of the USA know differently and sought to reach out in the only way they could.

It is important to bring reality to North Korea. China has not been living up to the sanctions.

The worst thing that can happen now is escalation. North Korea is not going to be able to launch a space craft with deliverables.

It is my suspicion, the young leader has sent his bride to China and the inmates are running the asylum.

Kim is not doing anything, but, listening to mentors once attached to his father. His father would never listen to them and he should not either. The emergency at the UN is real, because, the nuclear program has increased in its competency and there are ambitions within the North Korean regime. Boom or bust. With China involved there will be a sincere danger to the region. There be no escalation by anyone. Kim is hoping The West does something stupid to ignite the nukes in Russia and China.

There is no way North Korea will survive any ideation they now espouse. Kim is not being the benevolent leader his father attempted to be. He needs to deescalate the rhetoric, re-evaluate the needs of his people and put the lid back on this. Kim should not allow Bush and Cheney dictate the outcome of his people because they were stupid enough to provoke removal of the seals.

Experts Doubt North Korean Mobile Launcher Works (click here)
April 20, 2012
...The equipment (click here) got the immediate attention of U.S. officials, with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta telling a House committee Thursday that Washington has a "growing concern about the mobile capabilities on display in the parade." If the mobile ICBM launcher works, "that increases the threat coming from North Korea," Panetta said....

Ted Nugent needs to be frisked before entering the Congressional chamber.

There are metal free glocks that can fit into a pocket, assembled and fire two bullets before the gunman can be stopped.

End of discussion. Nugent should never be in the chamber.

Tonight, President Obama will be giving his State of the Union Address on Lincoln's Birthday.

The boys from Illinois grew up in different ways and different places. It is amazing how much they have in common across more than a century. Lincoln was born in 1809.

The better of ourselves sustains.

Why do people say "Don't touch the entitlements"

This is a comparison of the USA military spending compared to the other legitimate nuclear powers in the ENTIRE world.
