Are voters ready to let illegal immigrants vote? (click here) A sizable number, including most Democrats, are.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that one-out-of-three Likely U.S. Voters (35%) now believes that illegal immigrants should be allowed to vote if they can prove they live in this country and pay taxes. Sixty percent (60%) disagree, while five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Fifty-three percent (53%) of Democrats think tax-paying illegal immigrants should have the right to vote. Twenty-one percent (21%) of Republicans and 30% of voters not affiliated with either major political party agree....
There isn't anything that reflects that fact. Sure, Democrats as a single part surveyed will want them to have the vote, but, there is a clear understanding the undocumented are contributing to the country.
I sincerely doubt any Democrat makes a decision about the undocumented because they would add to the voting pool. That is not their first thought. They believe the undocumented has suffered enough in risking their lives to come to the USA.
The answer to southern border crossings will stop when Mexicans have a quality of life they are content with away from drug cartels and death. I don't blame them for coming to the USA. They have to face brutal conditions in Mexico. Even a member of their government saw the death of innocent students because they annoyed her. It doesn't get worse than that. The American people believe the Mexican government is working to end the violence and grow an economy where Mexicans are gainfully employed; then students end up dead.
But, the idea Democrats want the undocumented to vote is really a Republican accusation and nothing more.
