It is a staging area. There needs to be a bottle neck out of the Crimean Peninsula into the mainland country.
Re-established government now carrying out the will of the people have been referred to as extremists in the communist press.
SEVASTOPOL, Ukraine — Unidentified armed men (click here) who may belong to the Russian military are blockading an airport near Sevastopol Friday in an escalation of tensions between the neighboring states that Ukraine's interior minister is calling an "armed invasion."
"I can only describe this as a military invasion and occupation," Ukraine's new Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote in a post on Facebook.
The Russian foreign ministry refused to comment to the Associated Press, but Russia's defense ministry told the Interfax news agency that there had been "no provocative acts in relation to units and divisions" from Russian forces stationed in the region....
The Ukraine military needs a new flag. The Ukraine Parliament needs to request munitions and training from NATO. The NATO minister has already arrived in the Crimean Peninsula.
With armed unknown soldier movement in the peninsula it is unsafe for citizens to be doing business at the airport until the armed MILITIA leaves.
Flights should be suspended except for official business of the Ukraine. The MILITIA is an attempt to cause problems for the new government. It cannot be ignored.
Okay, so according to Ria Novosti, (click here) more than 150,000 troops are due to take part in the drills, as well as 90 planes and more than 120 helicopters.
Like I said a staging area. I don't believe the Ukraine military was expecting troop maneuvers, were they?
Where did the trucks come from? They came into the airport by road. Where did they come from? Probably not Russia. Possibly mercenaries.

It's a story fit for a Hollywood summer blockbuster. A group of roughneck mercenaries are recruited by a private military contractor to guard some expensive assets in a conflict zone. Thinking that their mission was cleared with their own government (these black ops always are), the mercs are told to leave all identifying documents and military gear behind (because the enemy's spies never sleep) and get on a plane...
...This actually happened in September and October, when 267 Russian mercenaries, the "Slavonic Corps," were hired to fight against Syrian rebels between Homs and Deir Ez Zor. Their employer told them that the mission had been cleared by the Russian Federal Security Services (FSB) and they were initially under the impression that the Syrian president, Bashar al Assad, was hiring them to protect oil assets....
And, of course, the armed mercenary milita is a danger to the people of the Ukraine and the Russians come riding to the rescue.
The Ukraine had a lot of military prowess attained in the collapse of the Soviet Union. It is viewed as a threat to Russia if these assets fall to The West.
...Ukraine has plentiful amounts of highly enriched uranium, which the United States wanted to buy from the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology. Ukraine also has two uranium mining and processing factories, a heavy water plant and technology for determining the isotopic composition of fissionable materials. Ukraine has deposits of uranium that are among the world’s richest. In May 1992, Ukraine signed the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START I) in which the country agreed to give up all nuclear weapons and to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as a non-nuclear weapon state. Ukraine ratified the treaty in 1994, and as of January 1, 1996, no military nuclear equipment or materials remain on Ukrainian territory.
On 13 May 1994, the United States and Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Transfer of Missile Equipment and Technology. This agreement committed Ukraine to the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) by controlling exports of missile-related equipment and technology according to the MTCR Guidelines....
I am sure much has this been resolved peacefully over the years, but, Russia views the Ukraine as a threat to it's borders as an autonomous country that is leaning European. It is like parking missiles on it's border in Poland.
The Ukrainian military needs to be recalled from any peacekeeping operations to protect the country during this transition to insure the elections go well in May. The command structure of the military and police has to be loyal to the current constitution.
In tandem to the return of the Ukraine military there should be diplomatic discussions with Russia to resolve this disaster of a response to the RE-ESTABLISHED government of the Ukraine. Russia should be ashamed of itself for the paranoia. John McCain needs to shut up any inflammatory rhetoric, the people of the Ukraine don't need it.
The mercenary militia needs to be recalled and go peacefully, they aren't needed. They can go back to Syria now.
