If Yanukovych sincerely loved the Ukraine he would have stood trial and been proven innocent as he claims. He cares not for the country and seeks Russian domination to return his power. He is afraid of the people and built a fortress and castle to hide in.
If Yanukovych is such a great leader and innocent of any charge he faces, he would return to the Ukraine for trial and prove everyone wrong.

Viktor Yanukovych (click here) explains his fleeing Ukraine with threat to his life and his relatives, has told a press conference in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
"I have intention to continue struggle for Ukraine's future against those, who by terror, by dismay are trying to saddle it up. No one has deposed me. I had to leave Ukraine under direct threat to my life and life of my relatives," he said.
In his words, the power in Kyiv has been seized by nationalistic and pro-fascists roughnecks, who are representing absolute minority of Ukrainian residents.
Yanukovych sees a way out of the situation in fulfillment of the agreement on handling of the crisis in Ukraine, which was signed on February 21.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on February 22 the Verkhovna Rada called early presidential election for May 25, having recognised Yanukovych as one who has distanced himself from fulfillment of his duties in an unconstitutional way.
On February 22 morning it became known that Yanukovych had fled Kyiv, having left his residence Mezhyhirya.
The Verkhovna Rada has decided to petition the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, the Netherlands to bring to responsibility Viktor Yanukovych and other Ukrainian top officials for crimes against humanity that led to the gravest consequences and indiscriminate killing of Ukrainian citizens from November 21, 2013 to February 22, 2014.
