The prosecution has to address this level of deception of "Before and After" in closing comments.Part of the idea that George Zimmerman was too physically incompetent to actually take on Mr. Martin provides the image of a man cautious about his neighborhood and his position as Neighborhood Watch Captain. He was the victim because he could not conceive of being the aggressor; he simply was too physically incompetent to carry out any approach to a strong, black teenager. He would know up front that a fight with Mr. Martin would result in his pummeling; so why would a reasonable person responsible for vigilance of other's property do beyond calling the police unless it was direly necessary.
Basically, the obesity of George Zimmerman is an image he can live with. George Zimmerman has been obsessed with his image since he shot Mr. Martin; to the public for many reasons including fund raising. He wants to be the "Stand Your Ground" person victimized by racism. He wants to be a sympathetic figure. His defense team has continually exposed the news media with information about Mr. Martin's so called "Dark Side" to effect Mr. Zimmerman's image to the public. Those exposures were for one purpose ONLY and that was influence a jury pool believing Mr. Martin was a horrible human being that deserved what he got.
