Antarctica
This is the 'jet stream' of Antarctica. There is an animated edition but only in small dimension (click here.) Antarctica is still in darkness.
The air movement is primarily off the continent with the frigid air from the Blue Ice in greater density fall to lower latitudes. It is that top frigid air that adds to the coldness of the continent. It is here the information from station Clear Air, Antarctica comes in handy:
Clean Air, Antarctica
Local Time :: 1:34 PM GMT
Length Of Visible Light :: 0h 00m
Length of Day :: 0h 00m
Tomorrow will be 0m 0s shorter.
There is however, as noted in this satellite view above, a movement of air onto the ice continent. It is along the peninsula which is always the warmest area of this land of ice. The peninsula is surrounded by a warming sea and as noted more frequently it is these stations with the highest temperatures. Today it is nearly above zero. Not quite.
