Petrified Forest National Park.

Fascinating stuff.

The Prehistoric Forest were completely monocots. They were huge and sturdy and easily flourished on an Earth that was very different than today. There is a lot about history that tells us we need to love and steward this planet we live on with gratitude for the very breath we take. The prehistoric environments that sustained this life did so with very, very different and now extinct species.
