The Congressionally legislated support to students in the way of student and parent loans are issued by the Department of Education. Sending a segment of the Education Department to the Treasury is misdirection and never provided for in any contract.
If nothing else it will cause confusion between the two departments. Collection at the Treasury is very different than the Education Department. The loans are handled very differently when it comes to graduates seeking gainful employment.
Gainful employment should be available for graduates. It is called a work force.
This is an interesting development because after the Midterms the Republicans want to institute not just a generalized military draft, but, also a post high school requirement for military service.
I am surprised Trump hasn’t dissolved, or attempted to dissolve, child labor laws yet.
Why bother educating young people if they are going to die at an early age fighting racist wars of choice?
