The big issue this week with the Flint Water Crisis is that all those charged with crimes came out to agree with the former Governor Snyder they would "take the 5th" at any trial.
So!
The prosecution isn't reliant on the testimony of the accused. The cases against them stand on their own.
It is just a publicity stunt to contaminate and intimidate the jury pool
THERE ARE DEAD PEOPLE, SNYDER. FORGET ABOUT THAT. A trial can bring their lives back to prove how full of hatred Snyder was when he diverted the water.
I am wondering though, when the people of Flint were dying and troubled with illness and fear for their own water coming out of the tap, did Snyder like it? Did he sort of chuckle? It took an entire year for the problem to receive attention and that was only after Rachel Maddow outed the gross negligence of Snyder and his administration. During that year did Snyder smirk at the idea of Flint drinking poisoned water?
