Most viruses are carried by mosquito. It is why African children are given nets to sleep with. It is why there are mosquito control public health policies in the USA.

But, in May 2015, it was reported in Brazil....

There are not cures for most virus. Either there are vaccines to prevent the illness when it is particularly disabling or people have to ride it out for 7 to 10 days.

Bacterial infections are far more dangerous than virus. The danger from virus is the fever a person runs when ill.
