There goes Chaffetz again. McCarthy has not been seeking a campaign through the media. I hope he knows what he is doing if he sincerely wants the office of Speaker.
"The people voted us into office..." says Chaffetz, "...to take the fight to the Senate and the President and we aren't doing that."
So, he is stubborn and doesn't believe in governance and cooperation. One man has the answer for 434 US House members, excluding himself, and 100 US Senators. I think Chaffetz has an ego problem.
Kevin McCarthy has been in the US House 2 years longer than Chaffetz. McCarthy has an MBA. Chaffetz has a BA in communications. Chaffetz tried to apply to the CIA and was rejected due to better qualified candidates.
Of the two, McCarthy is better qualified and more readily will seek consensus and actually govern. Chaffetz will continue the chronic obstruction of the Congress.
I think Kevin McCarthy is honest besides his qualifications. He doesn't lie. What is wrong with a Speaker of the US House that says it like it is? He should never apologize for his words if they are the absolute truth. He should not play the lie of politics. Seriously. Be a great Speaker, Rep. McCarthy. The country does not need anyone to play games with it's future.
