These police have a long history unnecessary shootings and killings.

A Hampstead man was shot and killed by law enforcement sometime over the weekend, according to the State Bureau of Investigation.
Maynard Paul Thomas, 67, was fatally shot during an altercation with law enforcement at 716 Sloop Point Road in Hampstead, said SBI spokeswoman Noelle Talley.
The State Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the shooting, according to District Attorney Ben David's office.
Further details of the incident were not immediately available, said Samantha Dooies, assistant to David, the district attorney for New Hanover and Pender counties.
