The strangest rightwing propaganda I heard this week in reaction to the reports by Secretary Hagel regarding the military budget was, "As the USA reduces it's military footprint the rest of the world increases theirs."

Ya think? Evidently in past administrations they considered allies as a security risk when considering their assets are not considered important to the USA.

There is no reason why the USA needs duplicity in arms or influence where allies are more than capable to be their own regional partners.
