The finalist from Illinois for the 2011 Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest.

On Friday, April 15, 2011, (click here) a panel of five judges will choose the winner of the 2011-2012 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest from Best-of-Show entries from all 50 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The event will be held at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, nine miles from the Philadelphia International Airport, off I-95. The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program is a dynamic arts curriculum that teaches wetlands and waterfowl conservation to students in kindergarten through high school. The program incorporates scientific and wildlife management principles into a visual arts curriculum with participants completing an art project as their visual "term papers." A winning conservation message written by a student will also be chosen.
The top three art contest winners and the conservation message winners receive cash prizes....
