I suppose everyone is going to sit by and watch Earth melt down, huh?

The winds are mostly calm with some consistent turbulence on the southeast continent where still another heat transfer is noted on the jet stream satellite.

Antarctica Jet Stream

It's a meandering jet stream. There is an approaching heat transfer at 2 o'clock. The reason there is less turbulence is because the upper troposphere is becoming more homogenous in temperature. In the satellite below where the 'orchid' color dominates there is less difference in temperature throughout the southern hemisphere including Antarctica. There is the law of inertia that takes over whenever homogenous temperatures are at play. Weather requires air movement and the less temperature difference that occurs the less air movement. Night and day frequently cause air movement, but, at the poles the difference between night and day are minimal.

And why not? The Christ child had his birthday one more day on the human timeline and why shouldn't people willing to wage war for no good reason except money do anything about Human Induced Global Warming?

I mean for real.

Everyone should be patting the moral backs of Bush and Cheney and their lack of policy to stop and reverse this deadly trend, after all if one has the license to wage illegal wars for cronies, why not destroy the biotic nature of a planet and hope shuttle tourism is ready in time to survive a hot Earth, right? Sounds like somebody's idea of survival, so it must be possible.

Everyone buy their condos on the Arctic Ocean yet? Can't guarantee the view of course, since Georgie is putting up oil derricks and the landscape will be littered with starving Polar Bears and dead Walrus. Then there is that whole State Department issue with Russian sovereignty, but, I'm sure another oil war can resolve that as well.

Oh, yeah, the most moral men on Earth is in the White House. You betcha.
