Bush Job Approval Ratings Unchanged from November
George W. Bush's overall job approval rating and the rating of his handling of the economy remain unchanged from November according to the latest survey from the American Research Group.
Among all Americans, 35% approve of the way Bush is handling his job as president and 61% disapprove. When it comes to Bush's handling of the economy, 37% approve and 57% disapprove.
Sorry, but the disparity from the nation as to the direction of the country measured against the presidential approval rating is viewed by me as hijacking this govenerment and it's resources. No matter what happens with the country's view of this administration and the former majority House and Senate, their demeanor and priroities never changed. They stay on the course whereby corporations exploit the assets of this country including natural resources and make billions from a drained and collapsing treasury.
If the USA is to be secure, it can't be at the hand of carpetbaggers. The allies to this country depend on us making the right decisions to insure our own security and strength in order to insure theirs. Setting out on a path of ideological war is the most dangerous action this country can take. If we are not strong to protect our allies they will turn to others.
Over the next few weeks and until the majority of the House and Senate changes there will be a lot of talking about 'backing' the president and increasing the size of the military. We can't allow ourselves to be roped into submission.
This is a dangerous time for the people of this nation. When these POW/MIAs were listed and then discovered with some returning sometimes with questionable mental health; we had a nation with the capacity to demonstrate without worry of an aggressive government.
The Kent State killings, draft card burnings are nothing to which George Walker Bush has planned in controlling the people of this nation and forcing them to serve. He can deploy the military against the people of this nation whenever he so pleases and at any excuse he feels is in the best interest of 'domestic peace.'
Already in peace demonstrations we have witnessed gunmen on roof tops and tanks in Los Angeles. To allow this government the most minor authority for mandatory military service and/or a draft would be to destabilize our economy, our national debt, the global sense of well being and there would be a horrible arms race taking necessary assets from literally the mouths of the poor to the weapons they needed to defend against rampant aggression.
We need to roll back the military foot print the USA has on the nations of the world replacing it instead with programs to advance human rights and encourage high quality of life no matter the government of the people.
