At the southern end of the east coast of the USA evacuations are taking place because of drought conditions resulting in wildfires.

Photographer states :: At about 2 pm or so this afternoon a brush fire started in Volusia County, FL. The fire is located just north of State Road 442 near mile marker 244 and west of Interstate 95. The interstate is closed from MM244 SR 442 to MM249 SR 44 (Edgewater to New Smyrna Beach) in both directions. Evacuations of 1200 homes has begun. Photo taken from Mission Road.
