Rarely do Americans stop to realize how the events of 911 profoundly were related to by people all around the world. This country has such profound problems that we don't really look outside ourselves anymore to find an identity among other countries. The skyline of Rio is very sophisticated. People there were every bit as horrified as the USA was when skyscrapers near the water came crashing to the ground. The difference between this city and NYC is that one will never see that many beach unbrellas in Lower Manhattan.
