There is a lower altitude system connected with the convection system off Baha. The other thing is that when there is a convection system near Mexico like that there is frequently a storm building in the Gulf or Atlantic. I haven't looked close at the rotation center south of Haiti within the last 12 hours or so. It looked mostly tame at 2 PM today.
