Whatever happened to public comment?

A public comment period for the Kennedy Center would solve all problems and a roadmap for the future including an initial Congressional appropriation followed by fundraising for the future. The public needs to be happy with ALL IMPROVEMENTS to the building while maintaining the integrity to the art and performances. There is a lot of family to be sure the center always reflects the values of the Late President Kennedy.

It needs its own constitution and by laws to protect it from this level of exploitation. If name changes take place all kinds of financial arrangements could be attached to it.

The center maintains a non-profit status and reflects John Kennedy’s values of civil rights and the movements shaping inclusion and elimination of racism and injustice. The same holds true for any aspect of the Smithsonian. These institutions need to work for all the people including our melting pot of culture and color. Art expression is so important to a healthy society as is truthful history.
