These are people fleeing South Africa.
Amsterdam - Dutch health authorities (click here) said that 61 people who arrived in Amsterdam on two flights from South Africa on Friday tested positive for COVID-19, and they were conducting further testing early Saturday to see if any of the infections are with the recently discovered Omicron coronavirus variant....
The count in the Netherlands is now 61. Physicians in South Africa have no control over airport towers. The governments have to put a hold on all non-essential flights out of the country and into the country for that matter.
South Africans are best to be vaccinated and seek medical care as needed. That said, I am also confident medical facilities will be out of beds soon if not already. This is a problem for the international community. They need to respond with vaccines, COVID pills and any other needs of the people there. The people of South Africa must not be left isolated, alone and suffering.
