Buried deep in the health care legislation (click here) that President Obama signed on Tuesday is a new requirement that will affect any American who walks into a McDonald’s, Starbucks or Burger King. Every big restaurant chain in the nation will now be required to put calorie information on their menus and drive-through signs....
Health of the American people is not provide at doctor's offices alone, it happens when lifestyles are changed and people appreciate better health.
This delay is ridiculous and happens because the Republicans are trying to run out the clock until the next President that hopefully will be one of them and not of the people that demands such important educational standard regarding nutrition.
Anyone promoting OBSTRUCTION of important regulation to protect and educate Americans is not a friend they should consider seriously.
This is the sixth year these games have continued. How much of the American taxpayers taxes have been spent in opposing a regulation that is important. Anyone want to eat melamine? I didn't think so.
The ingredients of a product and the calories it carries is important to the consumer. Assigning it a reasonable font size on all educational materials is just as important as protecting consumers from POISONS!
