The Republicans are practicing politics not governance, so let me put the KXL into it's proper place.

The KXL is not needed. It has never been needed. This is about power, politics and pure greed. So, if I may.

Upon taking office, then Vice President Richard Cheney convened an "energy committee." We have all heard about the closed meetings with the petroleum industry and how one sided it all was. That was 2001. In the policy book that followed every corner of Earth that Richard Cheney and Halliburton was interested was a part of that policy.

HOUSTON Oilfield-services (click here) company Baker Hughes Inc. said Friday that rival Halliburton Co. plans to nominate candidates to replace the entire board of directors of Baker Hughes after negotiations about a possible acquisition stalled.

Baker Hughes said that Halliburton has refused to raise its first and only offer to buy it, which the Baker Hughes board determined was not "adequate." Baker Hughes didn't disclose the offer's value.

Baker Hughes said it considers Halliburton's move to replace its directors an attempt to pressure its board into accepting the offer. A combination of the two would create a company slightly larger in revenue than Schlumberger Ltd., currently the world's biggest oil services company....

I was surprised to hear the deal between the two oil field service companies had gone through. Only last week the SEC told Halliburton in order to acquire Baker Hughes they had to sell off billions in assets. The reason was to avoid any antitrust lawsuits. Either Halliburton threw caution to the wind, or there was a garage sale at Halliburton over the weekend.

Halliburton sold off KBR due to antics in Iraq, but, maintained itself as a premier oil field service company. It is now engaged in eliminating it's competition. Things are good at Halliburton since Cheney was Vice President.

When I say the KXL was never needed I mean it. The USA doesn't need foreign oil. This is a report from the USGS that outlines all the gas and oil pockets/vats in the entire world.

There is no shortage of gas and oil. To that end there is no need to worry about anything other than the growth of alternative energy. Why? Because global warming is real, causing droughts, massive fires and changing the face of Earth into an uninhabitable rock.

Why doesn't the USA have to worry about the future of oil? Well, there is the Bakkan, but, to be completely honest there is a vat of oil and gas within the continental borders of the USA called the Green River deposits. It isn't as though the public wasn't aware of it either.

The Green River Deposits are estimated to be at least 1.4 trillion barrels. Some estimates by private industry state 4 trillion. That seems too high to me. But, the 'idea' the KXL is the best alternative for USA energy is among the most hyped and stupid things ever stated. It, however, makes for great politics (OBVIOUSLY) noting the right with their "Drill, Babe, Drill" and "Mine, Babe, Mine" rant.

The USA has a lot of gas and oil. The USA is not alone in having a lot of gas and oil. What would happen to the petroleum industry if all of a sudden 1.4 trillion barrels were dumped on the world markets right now? It would collapse under the sheer glut of oil available as a commodity.

Peak Oil did happen in 2005. Basically, all the cheap oil has been drilled and there are now declining supplies of oil from that TRADITIONAL source. It is far cheaper for Saudi Arabia to extract their oil than it is for the USA to extract it's using horizontal drilling. 

I guarantee you any small operator that has been drilling because of the high price of the COMMODITY 'oil' is now scaling back. The cost of running those small operations simply doesn't justify the return on investment at this point. That is also true of the Canadian tar sands.

While the Canadian tar sands and the KXL makes for great politics, it is all hot air. There is nothing to this. The USA is making precious land available for a highly dangerous form of oil that will absolutely end up polluting the aquifer and destroying farm land.

When I reflect on this profound reality I have to wonder what kind of mind Richard Cheney actually has considering he has absolutely no respect for anyone besides himself. He sure as heck doesn't value the people of this country and it's land and agricultural production that daunts most other agriculture in the world. 

The American people have to make their choices to bring about a reduction in Greenhouse Gases. They simply have to. The USA and China have to make that reduction without compromise. There has to be a return to Earth's balance of it's gaseous layers we live in. The part of Earth that provides for life. President Obama with his alliance with China is a great and hopeful sign we are finally going to be turning the corner on droughts, wild weather that kills, floods and furious fires of the land.

Global warming is a scientific fact. It isn't a political ideology, but, the petroleum industry made it so. The petroleum industry created the myth there is no such thing as global warming and CO2 could never be a toxic gas. That was their profit and they didn't care of the world's atmosphere collapsed tomorrow. 

The scientists of the world never politicized the fact there was anthropogenic global warming. They never disrespected the American people in their findings for the idea they were earning money not otherwise available. I am intricately involved with the conservation community and movement and there is no one becoming a million-billionaire because they are pulling in government monies from research of global warming. That simply doesn't happen. The people I know have their research as a side line to their teaching credentials. 

The USA is not in need of any Canadian tar sands EVEN IF it was being sent into the country from the Texas refineries. The Texas refineries were always going to export the CANADIAN oil to other countries. 

Why should the USA completely compromise it's land for the sake of a pipeline that doesn't even serve it's needs and tar sands oil (that is very dangerous because it is 50% nathpha)? Why? There is absolutely no reason. Dick Cheney provided 'the talking points' and the GOP has been running with it ever since.

Now, the US Senate can spend time passing an oil bill that is only necessary to assist one of it's members dealing with the propaganda of the right wing. But, it is President's Obama's OBLIGATION to veto the bill if ever making it to his desk. When he does, the GOP will scream and cry that thousands of jobs have been destroyed and the country needs a fine Republican president like Jeb Bush and a Vice President like Rubio. Then the GOP will be off to the races and any lawsuit and/or impeachment proceedings will be nothing but politics for the next two years.

The USA has plenty of oil and gas and if the country ever needed it for a military emergency the Army Corp Engineers along with soldiers could drill it and bring it to refineries to process it for the battlefield even for as expensive as it might be. 

It is a great idea to send the USA to war if you are an oil man, by the way. It drives the demand and the price up, and well what could be better. 

The country is fine. There is nothing happening to the USA because of oil and gas. The USA has to roll back it's EMISSIONS of Greenhouse Gases and it has to do it now. The oil isn't going anywhere. But, a habitable and productive planet is.

So young Caucasian men ever do stupid things?

You betcha. 

My youngest son was among the most stupid of the two boys.

First I get a phone call from a police officer stating my son was the intersection of Smith and Jones and needed transportation. When I arrived he was standing in the rain with the police car on the opposite corner with lights flashing. The car he was driving was in a ditch and unable to be retrieved without the assist of a wrecker. I was grateful no one else was involved. The police officer did not issue a warrant because it was raining. The car needed body work. It was not a minor issue.

His excuse? His would be girlfriend, whom's father was a police officer and didn't like him, called and said her parents were out of the house. It was not a minor issue.

Two days later I paid a visit to the prospective girlfriend's home when I saw her father's cruiser parked out front. I spoke with the father and asked if the relationship between his daughter and my son had changed recently as there was a rendezvous planned recently. He stated he didn't approve of the idea of his daughter having a regular boyfriend, she was 15, while my son was 17. I told him I understood completely and there would be no more problem. I wanted to put an adult face on the idea my son was out of control and endangering his daughter. The father thanked me for the information and visit.

It was getting closer to the end of my son's senior year and I received a phone call from one of his principles as he took an advanced course in Marine Biology at a different high school. When I answered the phone the principle stated this was very important and I must come to the office. 

I was alarmed and worried. I didn't usually get that kind of phone call from authorities. I went to the school and stood at the desk while the Vice Principle called me into his office. Outside of his office were four young men and the only one I recognized was my son.

I went into the office and he called my son in to have a seat. He closed the door. He took a seat behind his desk opened the top drawer and pulled out a ten inch Bowie knife. My chin nearly hit the floor and it must have appeared as though I was going to pass out. The VP asked if I needed a drink of water. My son at the very same instant began to apologize profusely for this dilemma now facing me.

When the shock was over I looked at the VP and asked if there were any deaths or injuries associated with said knife. He stated no, but, this was found in the pocket of my son's jacket. I had never seen the lousy weapon before and immediately asked my son where he got it. He stated he wasn't sure, but, he thought one of the other three put it in his pocket when they were discovered drinking alcohol in the grove of trees in the back parking lot during a study hall.

Now, I was angry.

No one wants me to be angry. Promise.

I turned toward face my son directly and forget all I said to him, but, when I was finished he was in tears and the VP was simply wide eyed and almost apologetic. 

My son had been accepted into his first choice of college and I was completely devastated to what this might mean to his future, immediately and in the coming years. The VP stated since my son had never had this type of incident before he would be given three days in school suspension where work would be demanded of him and it would not directly effect his school record or his prospect of higher education. I thank the man who seemed relieved to have a parent that sincerely cared as he did. I promise him it would never happen again. With that my son was never to be involved with alcohol or his dangerous friends ever again. 

As I left the VP's office with son in tow I passed the other three Caucasian young men. Without me saying a word, the three of them stood and apologized to me and was very sorry for my state of upset and promised never to allow such episodes to happen again. I didn't reply, but, was taken seriously through what they had heard coming from inside the VP's office. 

As I left I realized I was the only parent in the office and I had already been there over 20 minutes in the presence of the VP. 

So, do white boys get in trouble as they are becoming young men? They most certainly do. Do white boys take their discipline more seriously than black boys? I wouldn't think so. I have witnessed many a wonderful African American parent and families and at the time of my son's graduation he had taken a beautiful Black girl to the prom and had his African American young man friend at his graduation party along with all the relatives, too.

Why do these young Black men die? They are no worse nor any better than my son and yet they are met with death every time a police officer enters their lives.

IT MUST STOP. Michael Brown, Jr. should be at his university today and he is not.

A brilliant doctor has died because he came to treatment too late.

Salia's wife, Isatu, (click here) says her husband tested negative for the virus in the early days of his illness. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said "false negative" test results are possible in the first days of symptoms when the viral load is relatively low. The tests do not represent a health risk to others, he said, because people with low levels of the virus are not very contagious....

There are many diseases and medical conditions that test false when indeed there is a change in the internal environment of the body. Women know that pregnancy tests are not always accurate and will result negative. Walking stress tests will result negative for men when indeed they have a heart condition. 

There is nothing new here. One of the earlier physicians, a woman whom's name escapes me, tested negative for Ebola and was first treated for malaria. This is not new.

The BEST indicator of SUSPICION are symptoms, moderately high fever (within what is considered a cardinal sign of infection, but, the fever is not deadly itself) accompanied by fatigue.

This virus remains to be consistent in it's manifestation. It is the symptoms in the early stages of infection that results in emergent treatment that saves lives. In the picture he looks in very good health. Had he come to treatment earlier there is a far greater chance he would be alive today. We cannot afford to lose physicians, surgeons, nurses or anyone affiliated with the health care system. Without them we all fail.

This is a profound tragedy for the lives he will no longer save.

There is something odd about the coverage of the Michael Brown, Jr.'s death.

It seems to me there are people expecting to arrive at an end point in regard to this death whereby it is clear the deceased was indeed involved in criminal acts and therefore his death is justified.

That 'end point' will never arrive. Even after 'the system' decides Darren Wilson (what ever his name is) cannot be charged there will be demonstrations in reaction to the death of Michael Brown, Jr.

The death of this young man is egregious regardless of how the system wants to make Wilson appear exonerated. 

The question is how can those TWO REALITIES exist at one time?

These two realities exist in the same space and time because Michael Brown, Jr. is dead due to very poor police work and social stereotypes. Make no mistake there exists a rash of deaths of young Black men at the hand of police officers in the USA. Those deaths are unjustified and exist because of poor police work (although technically correct) and stereotypes. That is a fact.

Why is it the police officers that do the killing never have their lives in danger?

In the tapes whereby Wilson asks coworkers over the radio if they needed any help, translates into "Do you need another gun on the scene?"

The suspect is a large, black male about 19 years old and has escaped from the assault of an officer. In other words, this kid is dangerous beyond belief and the only method of controlling him is by inflicting gun wounds at the very least.

In reality, was a gun ever needed in this case? 

Absolutely not. Ever hear of chasing a suspect? Well. I'll be darn.

Guilty as charged, Wilson used poor police judgement of overwhelming force that resulted in the unnecessary death of another young African American male.

These young men are very important young men. They have moved through a system of education in a low middle class environment, are attending college and going on to improve the brain trust of the USA with deep understood values of 'the struggle' to succeed while shunning racial discrimination. They are the country's accomplishment to remove prejudice and bring success where none existed before, quiet likely with their father and grandfather. 

I don't care what kind of background they have or came from or how advantaged they may or may not have been, they are being gunned down when they are just beginning their lives. THIS is STILL another chapter of American racism. We are still there hanging them in the gallows. 

I have been on the net frequently today. So, tomorrow then. Net neutrality means not having to be on the net at any particular time, day or year. It means never having a scheduled time to enjoy freedom. It means being happy, free and connected to all that matters, including people most cared about.

American politics is basically very simple. Simple by the simpleton politics of the Republicans primarily, in whatever vernacular they occur.

The Democrats from the day of FDR have sought to bring equality to people. They took on representation of those on the edges of the majority law. The historical purview of Democrats have always been the unions, the Poor, the minorities and basically all those left on the fringe of society that have not been successful under majority governance, culture and society.

The Republicans primarily from the years of FDR look for 'the wedge' to divide the majority of voters. In other words, Unions take money to build a strong support to carry out negotiations and the like. Therefore, unions are bad because they raise wages costing companies the jobs of rightful Americans. Nowhere in the history of unions has it ever been shown they were detrimental to companies. Quite the contrary the companies with unionized workers have done quite well. The union representation brought more circulating capital to the country and the companies grew and profited. ONLY when CEOs started to receive bonuses linked to profits did companies begin to deteriorate. The labor went outside the USA and the circulating capital fell. Then when people were desperate for jobs, they would believe anything just so they could bring home subsistence monies to support their families.

The Republicans became the opposition party. They represented the wealthy and companies. Their focus was to breakdown any financial ties to their supports, which is taxes, and oppose the work of Democrats when they are/were in majority. That is basically it. The 2008 global economic collapse was because Republican corruption to gain control of money rather than serving the country as a whole. 

But, that is it basically. The scientists who bring bad news about the lack of regulation can't be Republicans because they cost companies money to meet regulations, etc. 

Pretty simple stuff. What the Democrats of 2009-10 didn't expect is a very corrupt Supreme Court put in place with Bush. I never thought I'd see the day when Republicans would stoop so low they would actually allow the death of citizens to satisfy their crony interests. The ACA was suppose to protect everyone, serve everyone and give everyone a fighting chance in life. To that is included the American Dream which is suppose to be a birthright. The American Dream is denied citizens because mostly of medical bills that simply can't be paid for many reasons. Some of those reasons included companies denying benefits to their members. It is why the ACA became a focus and a dire need of the people of the country. It wasn't just the uninsured, it was ANYONE. The companies have been getting away with killing Americans for profit.

"Sicko" is a convenient source of reality and truth." It is a fact. If Michael Moore hadn't been the humanitarian he was raised to be by his parents, family and neighborhood, the greater moral society, there is doubt the American people would ever find the ability to rise up and take such issues to task. 

So, the American political system is divided into those that have a conscience and those that have bank accounts.

I might add this. Chief Justice Berger was as much a reason to be moral and have a conscience. He focused on the INDIVIDUAL in the USA living under it's laws. He validated 'the extremes' the Democrats adhered to in their politics. Chief Justice Berger and his court added freedom to Americans and their experience within their country. His court added dignity to all Americans facing adversity because of their country and it's laws. 

The idea that Michael Moore is an icon is correct, however, to say he ran a revolution based in nothing as known before is incorrect. The Berger Court and it's ruling came long before Moore ever held a camera in his hands. There is every reason of sound judicial views that have given permission for the topics in Moore's compositions. 

One other point to make is WHY some states didn't institute the law, ACA. Did it have to do with the fact the states were funding for the first two to three years by 100% and then the funding would reduce to 80% of federal dollars therefore adding to the burden of the state's budget?

No.

That is a convenient excuse. Why the states didn't implement the ACA is because the TAXES become an issue of re-election. 

A couple of things.

And the most egregious aspect of the states lack of implementation is that the businesses or industries taxed are now cronies to their politics.

So people like Republican Rick Perry or Rick Scott can now call on those being taxed to contribute to their campaigns to end the tax. 

People have died in the states that have refused the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. These are human rights abuses institutional now through the Robert's Court. Supposedly the US Constitution allows human rights, too.

I never thought anything of the sort about my country's constitution. The problem with the ruling that the states do not have to participate IN A FEDERAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM, well funded by taxes; is that the Robert's Court acts in political methodology to favor the Republican agenda. It is not my country's constitution that permits such a thing. 

How do I know?

In the reading of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, constitutional scholars and parliamentarians within the USA government were asked to provide any disputes regarding the law before it was voted on and implemented. All those that sought the constitutionality of the law stated it was sound. It is ONLY when it entered the purview of the Robert's Court did any of it become unconstitutional. Hence, insuring funding for Republican politics that would willingly take up the fight to rid any company of tax.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is NOT funded by China.

The ACA (Affordable Care Act) doesn't contribute to the national debt.

...Some (click here) of the commentary on those reports has suggested that CBO and JCT have changed their estimates of the effects of the ACA to a significant degree. That’s not our perspective....

To validate the fact the ACA is not a burden to the country's national debt is the line that states "employer sponsored insurance" (ESI). In this particular instance the ESI 2012. It had a dip initially as some companies opted to let their employees find coverage in the exchanges, but, that leveled out nearly returning to pre-implementation of the ACA. So, the 'idea' the country is burdened with health care for the majority of the country is nonsense.

Noteworthy to the purpose of the ACA is the significant drop in the uninsured. It is expected to grow throughout the time period on the graph, but, it basically strikes a maximum drop in the uninsured by 2016 and then leveling off. So, the uninsured in the USA will find it's maximum participation in 2016, for the most part. The upper lines of the graph over 0 (zero) is where the uninsured went to find coverage. That also levels off after the initial years.

These were points made during the legislative process of 2009-2010. The law when proposed and voted on already had projections made in it. This is nothing new. These findings by the CBO and others only validate what was already known. I know this was in the law as projections for the reason of the necessity because I read it. So much for lack of transparency. There was absolute transparency and this blog proves it. One of the reasons I engaged the reading of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was because the right wing media were promulgating lies. If I simply disputed the lies it was simply "He said, She said." By reading the actual document and recording it here I proved what the document already said. The right wing was unable to continue their lies about the health care document. Their fear mongering still hasn't stopped with "Pulling the plug on Grandma." Nonsense.

This graph simply shows the implementation of the law in 2013. Right? It shows how much of the federal budget is being spent by the ACA enactment. HOWEVER, that does not reflect a deficit for the bill that adds to the national debt. I know it sounds confusing, but, there were taxes collected IN ADVANCE of the implementation that would fund it. So, while the budget looks sort of terrible, it is simply an indication it began to be implemented and these were the funds being spent.

This is the graph that proves the lack of impact on the national debt. When the process began there weren't any funds to support the effort in 2010. It was the beginning of the taxation that would later pay for the ACA. So, there is a slight bump over the 0 (zero) line for 2010.

The ACA effects the national debt when it moves above the 0 (zero) line. 

By 2011 the taxes to support the implementation of the ACA were beginning to be realized. The solid black line dips below 0 (zero) indicating the accumulation of funds in the nation's treasury (USA Treasury). There are two lines on the graph each indicating a different time period of assessment. The black line indicates the estimate of the March 2010 estimate. There was no other model to draw on for estimates into the future so the calculations were made based on perceived need and estimated costs for coverage. Pretty straight forward stuff.

The gray line of the graph is from February 2012. There was more accurate data coming in to find a closer match to the actual impact of the ACA. That data was now coming from insurance companies preparing for the implementation. AGAIN, while these companies were more accurate they also did not have a model the size of the USA to rely on. 

What is fascinating about this addition of the February 2012 data is the long term projections were actually seeing less and less impact of the ACA over time. The downward trajectory in February 2012 is far greater than the estimate of the CBO in March of 2010 after the law was first passed.

What does that mean? It means the income in taxes to support the ACA is going to outrun it's expenses therefore contributing to the payment of the national debt. The longer the taxes are collected on the basis of the current ACA law the more the national debt is reduced.

Some of this occurs because not all the states have participated although their citizens have on the national website. The other part of this is SUPPLY and DEMAND. The ACA increases demand for healthcare services. When there is a larger demand the supply side of healthcare has to meet the demand. I fully expect the first two years of the ACA to have exceptionally high demand to the healthcare infrastructure with very good profits for the industry in general. But, as the uninsured are getting health care, they are also becoming well. In a very short time; I would say after 2016, the beginning of 2017, there will probably be a leveling off of demand so the supply side can then compensate and become predictable in the need for infrastructure. By infrastructure I mean the GOODS such as medications, devices, but, also services requiring trained personnel such as doctors, surgeons, nurses and the technical help of nursing assistants, medical technicians and lab personnel. That is the health care infrastructure. 

So, come the first quarter, maybe the second there should be a KNOWN to the estimate of the size of the population being served by the health care industry. It will provide a much clearer picture of the expected cost of the law going forward and THEN any over taxation by the law can be reduced. I don't see anyone rushing to reduce the taxation based on ESTIMATES conducted today. The estimates have proven to be fluctuating and if there is an under estimation it could be adverse to the law. 

The other possibility is to actually leave the taxation in place to assist in paying down the national debt. There is nothing written in stone that the taxes collected at any level of the ACA has to only go toward healthcare. The country needs to look at the entire picture as it unfolds in late 2016 and decide where the money has helped the USA Treasury and whether it needs to continue. 

But, anyone making wild statements such Bobby Jindal from Louisiana about the loans from the Chinese paying for the ACA is a blatant lie. So, here we are with Jindal playing Liar's Poker with the health of the country.

The Republicans and Putin share a common goal.

Brinkmanship and once satiated the goal posts move to facilitate an even different brinkmanship. This could on forever. It is time the people of the USA recognize brinkmanship as a weakness to their democracy that continues to lead it to a cliff of no return.

A presidency is suppose to mean something and not oppressed by political rhetoric. When President Obama acts it is in support of a better America, not just a better Democratic Party.

Enough of this Republican game of oppression masquerading as constitutionality!

It is hideous to have a Republican Party stating they are the party of the family only to have them destroy the families the USA has built.

It seems every federal legislator hasn't grown up enough to have a backbone and do the right thing. Well, then there is a President that has.

OMG it's amnesty!

Your damn right it is. Well earned amnesty!

The undocumented worker needs to recognized and incorporated into our countries populous.

I think the President has a free hand in writing an executive order regarding immigration.

These are a particular population of people that have made it as far as the USA to find work. They have come to work because even the minimalist of pay was more than they could find in Mexico. Their lives certainly would have been threatened by starvation and/or drug cartel oppression and death. 

In my opinion, the undocumented workers need to have a vehicle allowed for the next two years of the executive order to facilitate their aspirations to a Green Card and permanent citizenship.

There are methods to bring people to the USA by employers. This is exactly that same law but, without prior engagement of the immigration system. It is not the fault of the worker they have found a method to make a living or the fault of the employer to find employees. They have found each other in a relationship not fulfilled by any other method.

It is up to the federal government to act to include these individuals in our population in a way that will promote their permanent status and protection of the families, especially including their children who know no other life and have been educated by our dollars. These children are part of the country and when their parents achieve a vehicle to permanency, then they are incorporated with the complete family.

Undocumented workers need to be sponsored by their employers without penalty to them or their employers and their families listed with the worker seeking permanent status. 

This is a ridiculous situation that promotes challenges and expense to public health and our labor forces by excluding people that work and pay taxes. These people need their legal identities restored so they are not hiding behind faux faces and identities that could result in criminal activity.

There are many reasons for this population to be made permanent citizens that include health, our brain trust, our investment and ending crime. It has taken too long to achieve their inclusiveness and the President has an obligation to legitimize this section of our labor force.

There is too much incentive for people crossing the border to be involved in criminal activity as there is a wall to their success in becoming citizens. How is Mexico going to end it's drug cartel rule when there is strong incentive to continue the drug economy which results in criminality in the USA facilitated by those desperate to find safety.

The President needs to include statistics regarding the desperation of people to simply live in the reasons they come to the USA. The burden of the USA to refuse them status is overwhelming and the path forward is to allow citizenship. It is ridiculous otherwise. These are not simply people that will add to the political roles on one side or the other, these are aggrieved populations seeking well being.

Muslim on Muslim crime.

LONDON (AP) — British Prime Minister David Cameron (click here) has condemned the Islamic State group as a "depraved organization" after the extremists released a video claiming to show that militants have beheaded U.S. aid worker Peter Kassig....

By his own choice Mr. Kassig was Muslim with a very different name. I think that should be respected.

His name was Abdul-Rahman Kassig. I make this statement to understand the Islamic State is a brutal regime that kills members of the Muslim faith without regret. It's doesn't matter Sunni or Shi'ite or Sunni Kurd, they become victims at the please of the Islamic States.

Aid workers need to identify better and safer routes to the citizens of Syria that still remain within it's borders. I suggest the ports are possibly a safer way to deliver goods to workers. The passage through Syria is not safe.

There may be some safe routes elsewhere and I would encourage surrounding countries to assist in finding those safe routes. Finding safe routes for aid workers will reduce the numbers of people seeking refugee status. The surrounding countries are correct to limit refugees because of the danger of infiltration of the Islamic State. Although, I am sure there are members of this hideous regime that 'want out' at any cost, they are still oddly among those that have been devout in their religious affiliations.

I would suggest for members of the Islamic State that want to leave, become witnesses to the World Court and surrender with information to the structure of the regime and how oppression is delivered as well as how victims come to their justice system. Beheadings, hangings, crucifixions, stonings are all methods of justice outlined in religious texts. They are primitive and need no infrastructure and are instructional to the outcomes of those who do not practice ultraconservative Islam.

They are already slaughtering people in the streets. Are the people dying under this regime not people? What are they then? Objects. I've heard of S and M, but, this takes it to an entirely illegal and immoral level.

The format of the video was different from previous such announcements, not only because it showed other beheadings but also because these were shown in graphic detail. The purported location was also disclosed, the northern Syrian town of Dabeq.

This is the exact same justice system as practiced by the Taliban. It is pulled out of the texts of religion and applied to the 21st century populous.

The ability of these regimes, be it the Islamic State or Taliban, to simply find guns and begin their own society by using religious text as it's governance is incredible in this day and age. This is prehistoric rituals pulled from ancient religion. The 'idea' this brutality and LIFESTYLE is handed down by Mohammad is hideous and completely out of step with 21st century reality. How does it happen these tribal people become victim to these maniacal regimes that appear out of nowhere. Do these madmen wake up one morning and decide "If I am going to prison or worse for killing people, then everyone else will, too." This is complete craziness to have these people armed and able to overrun any ounce of civilized society.

There are segments of American society that cling to the past, but, they aren't so desperate they kill others and seek to rule the entire country.

The leaders of the regimes are primarily war criminals and should be treated as such.

This is the impetus to the kidnappings and killings. The West goes right along with it and becomes involved in quagmire after quagmire. The Crusades weren't enough for them?

The point is the 'type' of regime is seen not uniquely in Syria, but, also in Pakistan and Afghanistan and who knows how many more places, like Nigeria. And in the case of Nigeria there is an economic reason it sprouted in the first place.

These regimes are taking example from past horrific regimes as Rwanda and realizing they are successful once the oppression of the people is achieved. Time after time this same method of regime occurs around the world. When is the religious antics of these regimes going to be recognized and disarmed of their validity according to religious texts?

There needs to begin a hearing in absentia of all these regime members to bring them to a common understanding they are going to prison and most likely executed. The World Court needs to begin the trials and then as they are captured, if they are captured instead of killed, their sentences carried out.

These regimes are known, their methodologies inhumane and premeditated. In order to carry out reproductive genocide there is a plan to do it. They are selective in their methodologies. 

There is also the issue of child soldiers. We know for a fact from their own "You Tube" releases they begin the incorporation of children into the regime as soon as they can begin to learn. That reality is brutally imposed on children without regret. Even fathers don't care about the longevity of their sons. The sons are to die for Allah in hideous approaches to war. The men simply have the women producing their 'get.' There is no love between father and son. I doubt there is love between a man and their women. The relationships within this regime is about producing soldiers.

Racism needs to be pulled out by the root and branch.

It is all still institutionalized racism. The police. The social services that the Poor receives. There is still institutionalized racism.

I worked in Newark, New Jersey for five years or so. There was a police organization of Black Officers. They way they handled themselves and addressed each other and the community was no different in 'style' than any Black man in the city or on the street. They didn't clash, they blended. They blended so well it was scary at times. That was before Cory was Mayor.

They tried. They wanted the community to be as good as it could be. There were separated from the community looking at them through a gun site. They walked the same walk and talked the same talk. They were men, I never saw a woman at any of those meetings.

They had no aspirations, except, to bring an understanding to the people they were on their side. I don't think Caucasian officers could do the same thing, although they tried. Every police officer in Newark that I had met along the way was dedicated to their jobs and the people they served.

The police force wasn't perfect, there was corruption and it was found and prosecuted. That didn't matter. The officers I knew simply saw that as a problem to explain to the community to be sure they understood all of them were not involved and mostly naive to it's existence. Corruption existed and didn't taint every member of the police force. 

It wasn't reverse racism, it is just that the Caucasian officers weren't in that space. The Black officers met on a regular basis to support each other and trade information. That was in the 1990s.

There is still institutional racism. It has to stop. When minority communities state they don't believe life is better, there is a reason why. They need to vote, but, they also have to have candidates that matter.

Iraqi forces (click here) say they have driven away Islamic State militants from around the country's largest oil refinery.

It comes a day after officials said they had retaken the nearby town of Baiji, which had been under militant control since June.

The top US military officer, General Martin Dempsey, has also arrived in Iraq on an unannounced visit.

It is his first trip since a US-led coalition began a campaign of airstrikes against the militants.

More than 1,000 non-combat American forces are in Iraq to help train the national army. President Obama has authorised sending up to 1,500 more to support Iraqi forces....

To begin with, I think MSNBC is confused to their approach to war by the USA.

That said, the only thing Mr. Engel did tonight was to sell the need for Western Muslims to join ISIS and defeat every other group in the region, including the USA. That means more young people will lose their citizenship in Europe and North America for empathizing with a brutal, totalitarian regime known as ISIS.

Remember this? I do. I very clearly remember this.

General Eric Shinseki stated very clearly the numbers of troops needed to make an invasion into Iraq successful to allow for all the needs of the people would require AT LEAST 200,000 troops.

That was ONLY Iraq. Now add to that Syria. The numbers of troops goes up. 

There are about 30 thousand members of ISIS. It would seem as though General Hayden is as delusional about military reality today as when he was pumping up the egos of "W" and Cheney. Not that Cheney needed much pandering to his ego, but, I think I make my point.  

The USA needs to begin to plan to remove our ADVISORS from Iraq in a timely fashion and soon. Why? Because we aren't going to make a damn bit of difference if the Region doesn't do their part to end the most brutal regime the Middle East ever saw. More brutal than any caliphate in any history books. 

Hayden states his estimate is to send in 5 or maybe 10 thousand American troops into Iraq and Syria to END THIS. 

I don't think so, Mr. Hayden.

The USA has a strategy and it does not plan for vast deployments of our military. The strategy is to disarm the Islamic State from any and all munitions and war machines obtained from Iraq's military abandonment of their posts. 

When the COLLECTIVE known as the Iraq government needed the military to stand up it ran and it ran as far and fast as it could. Some died anyway, but, they died without even raising a finger or pulling a trigger or yelling to their comrades "Where do you think you are going, they'll kill us anyway."

The fact of the matter is the American people are being spoon fed NUMBERS of USA troops to 'get used to' having the USA 'back at it' again. 

Today, Nusra Front was suppose to ally with the Islamic State. That brings the numbers to how many exactly. 

The USA is disarming the region of billions of dollars of American provided equipment so there is a more level playing field for those that actually want to fight for their land. But, the people of the region have to fight. Land to the region is no longer a gift provided by American Blood and Treasure. It is called national building and it has cost the American people trillions of dollars for what reason? To have their young Muslims starry eyed with the promise of a caliphate like Mohammad wanted for them, run away, abandon their citizenship and attend to a hateful regime that will kill absolutely no differently than the Taliban. If al Qaeda has failed to make connections with the Islamic State is because there is no difference between them and the Taliban and why would the Islamic State want to give it all up to the Taliban.

The success of the USA strategy is not about killing people, it is about establishing AUTHORITY that will actually protect the sovereignty of countries such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, Bahrain, Iraqi and Syrian Kurds, Qatar, Sunni Sheiks in An Albar and Jordan.

Up to now the USA has been the world's police. No more. In order for the USA to WIN this conflict it will have to commit itself to a forever war because the more American forces kill people in the Middle East, the more war there will be and the USA and it's citizens stand as ground zero for nut cases like al Baghdadi.

No more. The region has to fight this with allies from Europe and the USA. They will never be alone or without others that care about their sovereignty or the well being of their people. But, from where I stand the countries of the Middle East know exactly what is going on there and are more than capable of defeating those that want to harm them. 

Tell me for one minute Saudi Arabia ever had a problem with sovereignty or keeping the peace within the kingdom. NOT ONE DAY. And that was with the USA killing people in Iraq every day from March 2003 to December 2011.

There was no case made by Mr. Engel for the USA to ever send troops into Iraq or Syria. It was war correspondence at best.

Then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs states he can't guarantee there won't be American troops in combat in Iraq and Syria. Joking. What American did not recognize this? Dempsey came out of his "No Boots on the Ground" closet because he wants Congress to do something.

The American people are going to have to get used to a government that doesn't care about their opinions or need. The 113th Congress will lead into the 114th Congress that will simply railroad their priorities through. Why did Dempsey wait until after the elections to make that statement? 

Two words.

Republican Neocons.

There will be efforts by the Democrats in the House and Senate to intercede for Americans in the next two years, but, the Republicans are too anxious to pay their debt back to their cronies. The President will do his part, but, what it comes down to is that organizations of Americans will have to ban together to hire lawyers to protect their interests. 

Lawyers for the next two years are going to be a fact of life for a majority of Americans.

Lawyers and the international community. China will have to hold the USA's feet to the fire on climate at the very least. It was interesting to see the testimony of Michael Brown Jr.'s family at the meeting in Geneva. It was met with witnesses related to the parent's own investigation being asked to testify at the Grand Jury. 

When people work together and find qualified attorneys sometimes mountains can be moved.

The argument is irrelevant to reality, but, take a good look at Krauthammer who prides himself on the stiffness of collar. 

He looks like "Weekend at Bernie's." Right? Yeah.

The post election behavior of the right wing press. It is almost predictable, isn't it? They can't continue to use old political issues for their hype, so they latch on to something new. 

Ed Schultz nailed Glen Beck about health care. Beck tried to work on the sympathy of his listening and viewing audience to remake himself into a desperately sick person who had to go outside the system to find help for his cause. Schultz thought it was nice to know Mr. Beck was illustrating the need for good quality health care and supportive to the new health care law.

Beck revealed his true intentions for the escapade in attempting to say he pays for quality care outside the average "Western Medicine" system and there is no insurance company that will pay for it. In other words, traditional medicine in the USA is 'on the take' now with the Affordable Care Act when so much better practitioners of 'cures' are available and cost vastly less than any doctor in a traditional field.

The cackling from Beck's radio show was more like 9 year old boys playing a joke on the teacher. I suppose for those that like juvenile radio Beck is entertaining. I won't be returning to his broadcast.

There have been non-traditional forms of medicine for a long time. By a long time I mean centuries. Not all these practices are bad or unhealthy or trivial. Many people facing difficult traditional diagnosis often turn to these other methods and frequently to some extent they work. Why? Because they focus on nutrition and herbs, things like that. Anyone eating the American diet will benefit from departure from it, so surprise there.

The malady Beck was referring to is not all that uncommon in the USA. Fatigue and adrenal gland exhaustion. It is somewhat typical of Americans actually. But, Beck found a neurological clinic helpful. They can be because they refocus the lifestyle and it pays off. I might add many of the 'alternate' therapies have already been incorporated into Western Medicine. Massage, imagery and nutritional support have become common place in most hospitals especially in their cancer centers. Mr. Beck does not have cancer. 

The most interesting addition to cancer therapy came from a disgraced cyclist, Lance Armstrong. The man beat testicular cancer and he did so while being very physically active. That proved to be of interest to Western medicine and they have incorporated physical therapy and prescriptions of 'activity' during cancer treatment. I improves the body chemistry and general health while a patient is receiving treatments.

So, the idea that Mr. Beck has 'found something out' about treating the health of Americans is nothing new, except, to Mr. Beck. Besides the neurology thing has been promoted by President Obama with funding that has been proven beneficial in finding new aspects of the brain and treatment for disease and deformation.

Mr. Limbaugh on the other hand with his struggle to retain sponsors is chasing some idea that Mr. Gruber is actually a money grubbing thief of the American people. While he may have been foolishly playing with concepts, he has done nothing but embarrass himself that might belong on social media. Mr. Limbaugh is betting this is the Golden Ring for his future in radio. 

Mr. Limbaugh is practicing pure nonsense. Mr. Gruber is an esteemed academician that engages in research and also attempt to move foreign societies and governments through his research.
