What is going on in Europe with religious freedoms?

European Jewish (click title to entry - thank you) leaders furiously condemned a German court's ruling outlawing circumcision as the "worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust" yesterday and demanded that Chancellor Angela Merkel's government intervene to protect the practice as a religious rite.

The damning remarks came amid growing European Jewish and Muslim outrage over a ruling by a Cologne court last month declaring that the circumcision of young boys could be considered a criminal offence because it caused bodily harm and infringed a child's right to integrity.
Yesterday, Moscow's Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, the president of the Conference of European Rabbis who made the Holocaust comments, added: "I see no future for Jews in Germany if the ruling is upheld"....

...Of course, it is not just a British problem: (click here) the poison of Islamophobia has infected Europe's political mainstream. According to a Pew Research Center survey, nearly six out of 10 Europeans believe that Muslims were "fanatical", and half believed they were "violent". As here, the European far-right aims fire at Muslims above all other groups. In the Netherlands, an anti-Muslim party led by Geert Wilders is the third largest in parliament. Wilders compares the Koran to Mein Kampf, calls Islam a "Trojan Horse" in Europe and demands that the country's 850,000 Muslims be paid to leave the country. Wilders doesn't languish on the fringes: the current Dutch cabinet depended for two years on his party's support....

In some ways these were the mad ranting of  Anders Breivik.

...The attacks (click here) “were a pre-emptive strike,” the 33-year-old said in a final statement. “I acted on the principle of necessity on behalf of my culture, my people and my country. I ask to be acquitted of the charge....

The concession Norway has to build a new facility to house Breivik is interesting. He is not the usual in Norway. He is dangerous. Breivik is a problem for Europe's youth culture. He is a scary guy. He was never sorry for what he did.

...The Associated Press reports that Norway’s Health Directorate (click here) on Wednesday signed off on a plan to build a new psychiatric ward inside the prison specifically to house the right-wing extremist in the event he is found to be insane, as they hope he will be....

Peace isn't good enough? The triggers to violence had to be pulled. There was no attempted murder.

The allegations of murder are inflammatory and intended to restart fear, anger to escalate violence again.

It seems early, but, Tony Blair needs to get involved. The residents were not absent of materials to defend their neighborhoods. This is a measure of defense of the neighborhood. There is no allegations of attempted murder. This is an act of self-defense by all those involved. There must be reasons the people still hold these fears.

No doubt there is religious bias at the very least involved.

...The chairman of the Northern Ireland Parades Commission (click title to entry - thank you) today defended the decision to allow to loyalist and republican parades to go ahead within two hours of each other. They culminated with serious public disorder and dissident republican gunmen opening fire on police.
More than 20 police officers were injured during the trouble which flared in the nationalist Ardoyne district. None of the injuries are thought to be serious....

This is a joke, right? Apology? Over suspicion of a felony? No! Quite frankly I think it was fraud.

The more I learn about this the more I want answers. I sincerely believe there was gross misrepresentation by Romney over his role at either Bain or the Olympics or both.

If I am to believe as Romney's peers state, he was too busy with the Olympics to participate at Bain, then the SEC filings are fraud. That is a felony or worse. It is not only fraud on federal documents, it was done to misrepresent the leadership of Bain in fear of loss of investor confidence in the firm. All that is serious. If Bain worried about losing investor confidence it should have sought marketing help, not lies to the SEC.

Romney was obviously involved in the Olympics, that is why it is very difficult to set this aside. He has claimed for years, there was ONLY interest in the Olympics from 1999. Lying to the pubic for political purposes is not prosecuted, but, on a rare occasion. It is up to the other candidate to speak the truth and hopefully be heard. This is different.

This also requires an investigation, which can take time, cost and can be set aside of Romney were to be elected as in the Massachusetts Governor race. Romney relies on what the electorate 'believes' rather than truth. This is not about being believable, this is about the sincere credibility of his activities beginning in 1999. He has filed to run for very high political office including the Massachusetts Governorship. If Romney has been living a lie since 1999, there is a lot wrong, not just a little wrong.

Romney has a problem, he is a liar. Proven. It may be he has no credibility as a candidate at all. That reality cannot wait for an SEC investigation.

Presidential rivals trade charges of lying, Romeny calls for apology over 'felony' remark

...Obama official Stephanie Cutter (click title to entry - thank you) made the claim a Boston Globe article that said documents show Romney was in charge at Bain for three years longer than he had claimed. Cutter said Romney was either misrepresenting his position at Bain to the Securities and Exchange Commission, "which is a felony," or misrepresenting to the American people.
Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades issued a blistering statement in response.
"President Obama's campaign hit a new low today when one of its senior advisers made a reckless and unsubstantiated charge to reporters about Mitt Romney that was so over the top that it calls into question the integrity of their entire campaign," Rhoades said. "President Obama ought to apologize for the out-of-control behavior of his staff, which demeans the office he holds. Campaigns are supposed to be hard fought, but statements like those made by Stephanie Cutter belittle the process and the candidate on whose behalf she works." ...

If the Obama Campaign doesn't carry these inconsistencies to the electorate who then will bring the truth forward? No one. The Obama Campaign knows there are people in the electorate that base their votes on the truth and the ability of a candidate to live up to the truth. It matters. They are doing their job, not making frivolous 'mind speak' rants to win votes. They know better than that. The people voting for President Obama rely on the truth as a basis of morality. This is not frivolous. Not at all. Where would the people voting based on that value system be without accurate facts coming from the Obama Campaign? I trust them. They know that. There are no apologies here. They have not inflated any aspect of this.

I don't want another Richard Cheney. I don't want another Halliburton. This is not a distraction.

The Washington Post article is not accurate, if anything it implicates him further and raises more questions.

...The SEC documents, (click here) especially the ones Romney signed, do raise some questions. One can certainly argue that because Romney did not fully extricate himself from Bain till after his Olympic sojourn ended, he should bear some responsibility for what happened in that period. But that is an entirely different matter than suggesting that he is a potential criminal. It is more of a PR problem, which the Obama campaign is trying to exploit to build a larger case that Romney is secretive....

To begin with Romney ended his activities with the Olympics before the job was done. It is written in another article Romney left the Olympic clean up to others. So, let's get that much straight. He left for more political ambitions on the coattails of the Olympics.

Then the Washington Post states there is no possibility of felony because Romney signed some kind of statement about his former employment. He was 100% stockholder. He was making decisions for the company. He had to be. Just because he stated he was a former employee doesn't absolve him from lying to the electorate he was then interested in and further more he stated HE stated; he himself stated; he left Utah to participate at Board Meetings at Bain.

He misrepresented himself to the SEC on documents he signed.

A state commission ten years ago stated he left Bain in 1999. Based on what? The document he submitted to the SEC? That is inaccurate, by his own statements that is inaccurate.

Bain then used that statement to provide a disclosure to clients as to his interest in the management of the company. You've got to be joking and here we go again!

He was 100% stockholder and he held absolutely no power or interest in the operations at Bain. "W"rong. I don't care what statement he made to the SEC, he is lying and his peers are culpable. What everyone wants the electorate to believe is that Romney is above it all. He picked up his Regatta Boat, his blonde wife and went to Utah to be noble.

LIES!

They overlook the fact, he took his Regatta Boat and his Blonde wife to Utah to be CEO of the Olympics, to make a political footprint, while being 100% stockholder in a firm in Boston in case none of it worked out for his political aspirations. He was listed on the SEC forms as CEO of Bain. That is not being employed? Right.

This is not about understanding the private sector. This is the fact Romney wore the glass slipper until midnight. He was worried about everything political turning into a pumpkin and he would not have all the money he needed to tow his Regatta Boat and all the trampings for the rest of his life.

THREE YEARS. That isn't enough for a Board of Trustees to change ownership of Bain Capital?

They sure the heck did a job on every other company they bought and it sure didn't take three years.

Ohio manufacturing is not only growing, but, challenged by the DOD to bring their needs home.

President Barack Obama talks with Edward Ruscitti, right, during his tour of Summer Garden Food Manufacturing in Boardman, Ohio, on Friday, July 6, 2012. Obama is on a two-day bus trip through Ohio and Pennsylvania.

As if it isn't enough to point to the Brotherhood of Liars within the GOP, the fact is President Obama is transparent about his administration. He has successes and now the DOD is realizing their needs can be better met in the USA.

Published: Friday, July 13, 2012, 5:06 AM

...So now Portman and Romney are trying to distort the president's record. (click here) The truth is that Ohio is back on track, thanks in large part to the president's policies. For example, because of his commitment to bringing back manufacturing, Ohio has added 44,700 manufacturing jobs in the last two years -- the first time the state has added manufacturing jobs since the 1990s. And the president ignored Romney and the other naysayers to make the bold decision to rescue the American auto industry, saving the hundreds of thousands of Ohio jobs that depend on it.
The president's policies have created more than 4.4 million private-sector jobs nationwide and 28 consecutive months of job gains through June 2012. Since the economic recovery began, Ohio has added 148,300 jobs....
The lying of Republicans is a reality that needs to be recognized, but, the real story is how the Department of Defense wants to bring manufacturing of their needs home.
The DOD has needs currently met in other countries. I don't believe any DOD needs should be outside the USA. Now, they are challenging states like Ohio to manufacture their needs in small operations not usually considered to be important.
Now, the DOD can brag about "Made in America" adding a real sense of security to our nation. Thank you, DOD. Well done.

DOD wants to use Ohio companies; Plan to address Defense needs in manufacturing would create jobs.; LOCAL COMPANIES (click title to entry - thank you)

07/12/2012
A new initiative to match unmet Department of Defense manufacturing needs with Ohio companies will create jobs and reduce costs and dependence on foreign manufacturers, officials said.
"It would be a huge impact to the region," said Dayton Defense President Dale J. Kirby.
Many U.S. companies are deterred from applying for Defense Department business because they aren't aware of the opportunities, don't know how to apply or find navigating through the bidding process too difficult and time-consuming, officials said.
"It's a very cumbersome process to do business with the government, and it's costly," Kirby said. "A lot of manufacturers that could work with the government won't because they can't afford it."
American manufacturers number about 360,000, but fewer than 10 percent sell products to the Defense Department, officials said....

Another liar.

...“I can name a litany of Democratic-sponsored bills that I’ve done that never would have passed hadn’t it been for me,” Brown told CNN. “And the president had called me, and vice president calls me, and Secretary [of State Hillary Rodham] Clinton calls asking for my vote all the time.”
In reality, Brown’s staff says he has spoken by phone with Clinton just twice during his Senate career — most recently over a year ago, on July 5, 2011.
The other call occurred in December 2010, when the Obama administration was seeking votes to pass the New START Treaty....

Iraq Kurds defy Baghdad over oil to Turkey (click here)

ERBIL, Iraq, July 12 (UPI) -- Iraq's independence-minded Kurds have reportedly escalated their feud with Baghdad by shipping oil to neighboring Turkey, defying the central government, which insists it alone can export energy....

There are now three provinces that was Iraq. I told you so. Who is getting the oil in Turkey, Halliburton? Just curious.

Willard has a problem. He is lying. His friends want us to believe when Mitt lies it is nothing to worry about.

The Friends of Romney believe he is above reproach, the law or scrutiny. They have stated he was so busy the decisions at Bain were secondary to his Olympic role as CEO.
The facts are clear. Romney was CEO of the Olympics and Bain at the same time.

...But one of the first questions (click title to entry - thank you) asked in the news conference that followed was whether Romney was using the Olympics as a political platform.
"No," he responded, adding he intended to return to Boston to "continue the work that I've had there in the investment business."...
Romney has a problem. He lies. He lies about everything. He seems to believe he can say what he wants and that is all okay. It isn't.

Former Olympic colleagues defend Mitt Romney (click here)

Romney's colleagues defend him as if the facts were not clear or there is a higher authority than the truth.

I worked two jobs most of my life. I raised two boys by myself. It is legal to work two jobs, but, it is immoral to run for the Office of the President of the United States and lie about it.

It is obvious why he hasn't released income tax forms. He was making a lot of money working at two jobs when he lied and stated he was not involved with Bain Capital. What I am wondering is how much did he actually lie on other documents to hide his status with Bain. Did he file for a run for Governor of Massachusetts without disclosing his continued status with Bain. The status was uninterrupted.

Romney doesn't get a pass on anything. I don't care how much his colleagues seek to persuade the electorate into a fantasy. It isn't allowed. I have to insist this all be looked at by authorities that can discern if there is fraud, perjury or any wrong doing. It might be setting the record straight this time might actually prove a legal hurdle for Mr. Romney. Are his colleagues culpable? It would seem so. It would seem as though his colleagues are more than willing to be part of a lie at the very least.

The pictures are really grainy. Probably straight through the aorta that would end blood circulation immediately.

...Zimmerman's ex-fiancée (click title to entry - thank you) told how their relationship digressed after they became engaged because he was overly protective and possessive.
In 2005, it reached such a threatening level that the woman, who also remains unidentified, filed a protective domestic-violence injunction against him that year....

Trayvon did nothing wrong. A person's dress or walk through an area should not cause their death.

I think the police are playing with semantics regarding the hooded sweatshirt. It is 'the gangsta' Zimmerman was stalking.

My opinion hasn't changed. An innocent young black man was gunned down by a zealot. There was no reason for this to happen.

Detective: Zimmerman profiled Martin because of hoodie

More documents released in Trayvon Martin case

Published On: Jul 12 2012 11:09:53 AM EDT  Updated On: Jul 12 2012 04:28:31 PM EDT

ORLANDO, Fla. -
Records released Thursday (click here) in the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman indicate a police detective thinks he profiled Trayvon Martin, 17, because of his hooded sweatshirt, not because of his race.
The FBI interviewed more than three dozen people as they worked to determine whether Zimmerman violated Martin's civil rights by racially profiling him. Based on the discovery material released Thursday, investigators found no evidence that the shooting was racially motivated.
The lead investigator in the case was Sanford police Detective Chris Serino. He told the FBI that gangs around Sanford, referred to in the community as "goons," typically are dressed in black and wear hooded sweatshirts. So, he believed Zimmerman profiled Martin because he was wearing a hoodie and not because of his race....

So, Romney lied for political purposes. That is significant enough. Lying to the electorate is a character issue. I have been saying he has a character issue.

He obviously wanted to put distance between he and Bain that didn't exist to win the election for Governor. When he won the election he gave up the ownership of Bain. In other words, he wore the glass slipper right up to midnight but denies it.

What did Romney do as Governor that benefited Bain and others like Bain after giving up the ownership just before his inauguration on January 2, 2003?

Did he violate reporting status when running for Governor. Certainly, playing that close to the vest is not acceptable when filing intentions to running for Governor. Did he report correctly when filing as a candidate?

Government documents(click title to entry - thank you) filed by Mitt Romney and Bain Capital say Romney remained chief executive and chairman of the firm three years beyond the date he said he ceded control, even creating five new investment partnerships during that time.
Romney has said he left Bain in 1999 to lead the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, ending his role in the company. But public Securities and Exchange Commission documents filed later by Bain Capital state he remained the firm’s “sole stockholder, chairman of the board, chief executive officer, and president.”
Also, a Massachusetts financial disclosure form Romney filed in 2003 states that he still owned 100 percent of Bain Capital 2002. And Romney’s state financial disclosure forms indicate he earned at least $100,000 as a Bain “executive” in 2001 and 2002, separate from investment earnings....

The family of Jessie Jackson, Jr. is correct. He is in treatment. It is up to him to talk to the public.

It's amazing to see senior Democrats (click title to entry - thank you) — particularly white liberal Democrats — breaking bad on the Jacksons of Chicago.

They're pressuring the Jacksons on the whereabouts and condition of U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., who has been on a mysterious medical leave for more than a month now....

Someone is afraid of the Jesse Jackson family? Where does that idea come from?

...They're no longer afraid of the old man.

If there was one thing that sent a strong tingle of fear up the leg of white liberals — whether politicians or members of the media — it was the worry that the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. could call them out, bounce the race card against their forehead and make it stick, for all to see, right between the eyes. It's the kind of thing that could ruin a career....

Since when is rudeness rewarded? I guess since the Republicans decided being rude was the only way Palin might win with McCain or something. Or, maybe, it was when John Kerry was railroaded by a bunch of outlandish attacks against his service in Vietnam. I mean it was Vietnam. What was there to question?

Whatever.

I am curious as to how long Rep. Jackson has suffered from his depression, before or after the Republicans have been intent on ruining his life over Blagojevich? He isn't guilty. He was as a much a victim, if at all, to the former Governor as anyone else.

Confidential information is important, in another word it is called self-esteem and dignity. The Representative has to reflect on his chosen career and decide if he needs time to himself and his family or can recover and return to the House.

Look, it isn't as though the US House has been doing the people's business. That isn't enough to drive others into a depression? I sure is. I am surprised there aren't more Democrats reacting with this depth to the shannigans of the last two years.

I wish he and his family well. They'll come through it. I don't know when they haven't. And the idea Jessie Jackson is someone to fear is outrageous. He has astounding work during his career including returning hostages to the USA. I suppose if one is a hostage taker it might be a good idea to fear him, but, he never obtained freedom of those people with the threat of violence. The media needs to get over this.

Wall Street cannot be trusted. And we are suppose to take S&P seriously?

They all play the game and the Libor factor has been known to be tampered with since 2007. That was the year when the housing bubble was making itself known. There was a lot going on leading up to October 2008. The one thing that wasn't going on was ownership of the impending disaster. All the genius of Wall Street thought if they could manipulate enough of their own fuzzy math they could avoid disaster.

Right.

Why is regulation NECESSARY? Because the industry is not trustworthy. They aren't even trustworthy with their own futures and employment. The financial sector needs limits and boundaries. If they don't have them they are incapable of placing constraints on their own ability.

Given LIBOR played in the Morgan losses over a month, the lack of accountability TO EACH OTHER is incredibly dangerous. Dimon wants to be in London to stem disaster. He has learned his PEERS are jerks.

There has to be regulation and limits on the activity of this sector. It is too powerful and has too much impact on everything else. It is nuts to deregulate the financial sector. There is absolutely no assurances they will ever be capable of a deregulated industry. No reassures at all.

We know corruption grows as it weaves its way through established principles. There is no immunity to it when it becomes 'the mind think' of an entire industry. We call it culture, it isn't just the culture of the industry, it is the lack of government control over their practices.

"It has to be pulled out by the roots." I thought Speaker Boner was talking about invasive species in the Farm Bill.

Speaking of roots, has the Speaker noticed the drought in the Corn Belt which caused a commodity increase by 35%?

This was the first time I have ever witnessed a Constitutional Law being repealed in a nonsensical vote. This is expensive. It is expensive to have Congress in session to play politics with the House when they are suppose to be conducting the country's business and it is expensive for all the work they could have done but didn't. All the country's business had to be put on the back burner while the majority Republicans played politics with our treasury paying for the entire mess.

Thirty - three times is ridiculous. How much money have the Republicans used to play politics from the House floor because all those games are ethical violations.

This isn't sweet corn. This is field corn. The plants get 12 to 15 feet tall.

by David Pitt
Jul. 11, 2012 06:08 PM
Associated Press

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Some cornstalks in fields (click here) around the farm where David Kellerman works stand tall. But when the husks are pulled back, the cobs are empty. No kernels developed as the plants struggled with heat and drought.

The soil in Kellerman's part of southern Illinois is like dust after less than an inch of rain since mid-April. This week, he and the farmer he works with cut and baled the withered plants to use as hay for their cattle.... (They bailed it because corn is a form of grass, therefore, hay. It doesn't have the same nutritional value though.)

...Almost a third of the nation's corn crop is showing damage. On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture released another report predicting that farmers will get only a fraction of the corn anticipated last spring when they planted 96.4 million acres, the most since 1937....

...A rule of thumb is that food prices typically climb about 1 percent for every 50 percent increase in average corn prices, said Richard Volpe, a USDA food markets research economist.
The government has already predicted food prices will increase this year by as much as 3.5 percent.

Kellerman, 28, farms near Du Bois, Ill., with his neighbor, Gerald Kuberski. He said they gave up last week after more than a week of 100-degree or hotter days.

Temperatures over 95 degrees while corn is pollinating can stunt the growth of ears and prevent kernels from fully developing.

"Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we had 108 degrees. It just pretty much fried the corn," Kellerman said....

I would have brought rotten tomatoes in full expectations of using them.

There was too much dignity in the room as far as I am concerned.

The soft bigotry of low expectations? What?

That is bizarre.

Romney is a bigot. Racist, whatever you want to call him. He was speaking to a room of minority voters and never extended his hand to them.

There is no such thing as soft bigotry of low expectations. Ask President Obama, I am sure he'll tell you the demand by all minority parents on their children to reach for high goals. There is no such thing as soft bigotry.

The inner city is plagued with problems of violence that has nothing to do with low expectations, it has to do with the lack of hope and a drug economy. It is about complacency in believing life actually has a better outcome. There are many reasons why there are problems in some communities across the country, but, low expectations is not one of them, unless it is out of ignorance of knowing there can be a better life.

Let's just call this what it is, racism.

Yesterday, Dennis Miller did it again. He chuckled it up with a caller stating even the USA Park Commission demands 'No feeding of the animals to prevent from dependency.' I mean these people are a disgrace to the word American.

It is racism. Just that simple.

One of the places the carpetbaggers of 2008 hit the worst was Black Wealth. Don't even try it.

Preserving the Middle Class Tax Cuts is not an attack on Small Business.

$250,000 threshold has nothing to do with Small Business Growth.

How many times does it have to be said for Republicans to change their rhetoric because they are "W"rong.

What do we know about the Income Tax Return FORM?

What do we know?

We know there are SCHEDULES on the Income Tax Return Form that allows Small Business their reduction in taxable income by the expenses of their business.

We know the taxes paid are on what small business owners REALIZE as profit.

Ready for this?

If I were a small business owner looking at paying a higher income tax because my bottom line is over $250,000, what would I do to bring the income tax level down?

Personally, I would be checking to be sure it is not time for expansion and/or whether or not I needed to make a capital investment and/or needed to increase my market share by adding advertising venues before I paid monies into the USA Treasury.

If I was comfortable with my market share, wasn't really ready for expansion and had all the updated equipment I needed; basically cruising along just fine. I would pay the extra tax over $250,000 and take a different vacation next year.

Why would I be happy to do that? Because I would be paying down the national debt, improving the financial viability of my country and be confident my children were going to have a better future; while my business was doing just fine.

The argument in preserving the Middle Class Tax Cuts are obvious, THEY are our economy and we are still growing every month. Let's get this done. The incomes over $250,000 are not necessarily returning monies into the USA economy; in the case of the disgustingly wealthy, we know they aren't; but are offshoring.

What can be done for those $250,000 to $1,000,000 income, make incentives to increase their interest in the USA economy and offer that as a tax break, but, that is all I'd do to bring interest to the economy for those making over $250,000. Otherwise, the Middle Class is where our economy is at and we need it to be as viable in the market place as possible.

One other thing, I'd re-examine "Income Averaging" for those having one exceptionally good year out of every five. This to be sure they aren't unfairly having a tax burden one year that sincerely would be unfair over a five year window. That would also provide a better option for those $250,000 to $1,000,000.

Another name for income averaging is "fairness."

Bill Clinton reached into the USA economy and found strength with minority entrepreneurs.

This graph notes in 1992 the opportunity for loans were made to minority Americans for economic growth. That was Bill Clinton.

There was over growth and over confidence in regard to loans under Bush as revealed by this graph and it has one word, "Countrywide." Who should be trusted this November? The Republicans understand only one thing "Bigger is better." No so.

Bill Clinton, even today with his Global Initiative, champions minorities and WOMEN to the opportunity of business and economic growth.

Former President Clinton found a great deal of economic strength in believing in women in minorities. He opened new opportunities for women and minorities including college. The increase of women being the majority of college graduates occurred because of the years of Bill Clinton.

Women and minorities do better with Democratic leadership.

Guess what? The best and most benevolent health care reform in the USA happened with a woman as Speaker of the House.

...But there is a growing set (click here) of data and trends indicating that men are not as well equipped for the demands and stresses of modern society as women.  Men die younger, have substantially higher substance abuse rates and are much more likely to be in jail.
Recent studies also show a major shift in mental health, with depression rising among men and decreasing among women.
Men don't do as well in school as women.  The chart below is from The Rise of Wives, a Pew study on marital changes caused by women outpacing men in education and earnings growth over the past couple of decades....

Local economies are leading the way in job and economic growth in the USA.

The investor class, like Romney is not interested in the USA. Pay attention to the large firms and how they have negative growth in the USA economy. They are leaving. They are taking their money and leaving. The American people are growing their own economy. Congratulations, no one can take it away from you now.

...Nearly 2/3rd of private-sector hiring was done by firms with fewer than 50 employees (click title to entry - thank you) last month, which means they added 58,000 jobs in August. Compare this with the meagre 3,000 jobs added by large firms (firms with more than 500 employees). Here's a chart from Société Générale that shows the hiring patterns of small, medium and large firms:

The GOP is afraid of Democrats.

President Obama is correct. Where the Democrats and Republicans agree they should pass bills to make it law. Middle Class tax cuts is an excellent place to start. We know for a fact the driving force to our economy's stability and growth to date is due to the Middle Class. The "investor class" isn't interested in the USA. The Middle Class is interested in the USA. The wealthy class wants to pay their fair share in a fair manner mandated by law.

So, what is the problem? The problem is the GOP is afraid of Democrats. They are afraid if they don't get their tax cuts for the wealthy they won't get anything at all. Well, one has to ask, is the majority of the wealthy actually interested in continuing the UNBALANCED tax cuts during a difficult time for the country?

This graph was published by The New York Times years ago and to realize it still stands and is causing larger and larger deficits to our nation is absolutely immoral. Does the GOP actually think the wealthy want this to continue? They don't have a conscience I suppose, is that it? The wealthy have no conscience, they only have greed and bank accounts and political donations.

Amazing. The tax structure above named by the Democrats a long time ago, should be legislated by the Senate even if it doesn't pass. It is equitable across the spectrum of the citizenship of this country. It needs to be passed into law. It is a moral imperative the country bring its deficit under control and this begins that process.

If the Republicans want to roll back their military cuts and the Democrats want to roll back their domestic cuts, they need to agree on this tax structure and then begin to cut the fat from the USA budget. LEAN AND MEAN. What works, what doesn't. We have a President that cares about this country in a very wholesome way both on the military and domestic side. It is time to get this done! It is the moral thing to do.

If this tax structure was instituted in the USA with the current funding cuts as of midnight plus one second of the New Year 2013, the country's credit rating would never be in question. It is time to get it done.

Why will the Affordable Care Act stabilize and then reduce health care costs?

The chart is from Wiki.

...In the decade before the law was passed, (click title to entry - thank you) national health expenditures increased about 7 percent a year. But in the past two years, those increases have dropped to less than 4 percent per year, saving Americans more than $220 billion. And that trend is expected to continue, with health-care costs projected to stay level as a share of gross domestic product from 2009 all the way through 2013....

The cost of health care in the USA has been out of control. Capitalists love it. The Health Care Insurance Companies have been free wheeling it and getting what they want without scrutiny. That will stop. The health care insurance companies have to spend 85% of their enrollment fees on the care of their members or refund the difference. Their middle management won't be allowed to grow out of control to justify costs. The companies will have to be efficient and not ungainly.

But, the most important aspect is a NEW health care market in the USA. The entire country is now the client base to the health insurance industry and while they have to spend 85% of their enrollment fees on actual care, the size of that 85% is larger. The 15% is larger. This is hardly the death of the private health care insurance industry.

In her Op-Ed, Secretary Sebelius clearly makes the argument the Affordable Care Act is already stabilizing the insurance industry. Small businesses are not falling off the enrollment, but, instead can offer health care to its employees in confidence they can continue to afford it.

The number enrolled in health care is going to grow as the years go by; not simply by the number of births in the country, but, by the sheer fact every American will continue to find health care insurance affordable and a wise investment. The free preventive care alone is worth the cost, both to the pocketbook and every person's vision of the future of their lives.

The free preventive care is the beginning of a nation far healthier and aware of their wellness. It will make a nation healthier. With a healthier and well cared for populous the USA will have falling costs by the virtue of its wellness alone, but, also because the cost will be carried by those generating the costs. Now, when a citizen is ill, they will have insurance to help with those costs and not pass the costs on to those insured but not necessary ill.

The health care industry is already stabilizing today. It is not only stabilizing but looking forward to the roll it will play in every American's life.

The future for the country is brighter today than before the Affordable Health Care Act was passed into law.

In the graph above, some of the escalation in costs globally is reflected by the high cost in the USA. The USA's economy has an impact on every other country. The cost of health care in the USA will come into line with other nations and will actually have a stabilizing effect on them as well. It is a hope of mine, that the stabilizing of the USA healthcare industry will not only bring USA health care costs into alignment with the rest of the world, but, in its stabilization will prove to be a factor in reducing those costs globally, too.

Given the Affordable Care Act was a measure by Democrats in the USA, they already have reasons to be proud of their agenda for the nation. It is a good thing.

Go, Democrats, Go!
