Rocket warning sirens (click here) blared early Wednesday in the southern city of Beersheeba and nearby communities and at least one projectile hit the courtyard of a house, media reports said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries but several people were being treated for anxiety, Israel Radio reported.
The sirens went off at 03:40 am. The report said a loud explosion was heard throughout the city.
The IDF said it was investigating to see if there were any launches from the nearby Gaza Strip.
