I am quite sure the Trump administration see the death of the girls in the Khamenei compound as collateral damage. It is more than that. The girls need to be identified both as an individual and as a possible connection to lineage leading to the foundations of Shea Muslim roots.
There is a difference in the Abrahamic religions. The most profound difference is how the Sunni and Shi’ite define their lineage. Lineage to the Shea is paramount to the definition of worship.
Lineage is not part of the identity for Christians or Jews. The writings in books of apostles are important, but, the Muslims follow a story line called the Hadith. The Hadith is a single document but splits in interpretations resulting in Sunni (the majority) and Shea (the minority).
Fatima is considered a direct descendant to the foundations of the Shea faith. I find the fact that so many girls were in Khamenei’s compound an important statement as to whom the girls were and what they mean to the religious lineage of the Shea.
Women and girls have a different standing with the Shea. More than likely those girls were there to study with the Supreme Leader.
So.
It is absolutely paramount to the survival of the Shi’ite faith to identify any damage to the religious lineage that maybe held in the very genes of those girls.
What occurred when Khamenei died is recklessness. Killing and bombing should always be a last resort to seeking peace, not the go to strategy to coerce any party to negotiation.
The Trump administration needs to stop making enemies both domestic among citizens and internationally among leaders of countries that may very well have a lasting peace on their agenda.
