No surprise here.

I don’t know how many times I have said it, “That is just Russian Propaganda.” Putin propaganda. It is how it maintains its image on the world stage. It is also how treaties are negotiated. The image of peace that overlays a world order whereby The Nonproliferation Treaty was negotiated and signed relies on a general consensus that global peace is a goal of which all countries are striving regardless of their internal inhumanity. 

President Zelenskyy is correct in many ways in his address on New Year’s Eve. I have to take issue with very few stayemwnts, but, that can wait. He is correct in that an economic zone (a demilitarized zone) is the best way forward. He is also correct in stating Russia’s history does not lend itself to peace. 

I plan to write about all this more tomorrow afternoon. From my perspective there is a blind spot to peace. 

So for now, I am pleased the facts of this matter is settled. Until later.
