Renaming applies to official USA government maps (USA Government Printing Office has to spend USA dollars for no reason). The international recognition of the Gulf of Mexico will never change in realizing the racist implications by Trump. Allies will probably list the new USA names to geographical maps in parentheses. The same angry and hateful acts regarding Lake Ontario will result in the same dynamics.
There is absolutely nothing that will effect the tariffs by demanding the USA recognize the new name of Lake Ontario. This is a temper tantrum by a USA President.
