I am not sure New York's finest could have done anything more, but, I am confident they wanted to try to increase the capacity for a better outcome.

Leiby Kletzky was loved by his community.  I am confident the community did not know the incredibly troubled mind of Levi Aron either.  I praise them all for their love of each other and care they give their culture.  But, they also upheld the law of the USA in calling authorities when they came to a conclusion in regard to Leiby.  They did not take the law into their own hands.  They are not vigilantes in any form of the definition. 


I am not convinced calling the police would not have resulted in any other outcome.  This community was in support of the Kletzky family long before the child's remains were found.  The community was ready for the worst outcome long before the family was aware of what actually happened to their child. I praise the community for the care they give to each other.  


I also praise the city of New York for including the community in a unique capacity to organize and act when problems present themselves.  The Shomrim Patrol is included in the infrastructure of New York City which provides them with the best of all outcomes and gives them a way to receive services the community is not able to provide for themselves, such as fire fighters and bomb squads.  It also places a limit on the capacity of the patrol where they might inadvertently be in violation of city, state and federal laws.  I am confident they receive training from New York's Best, too.


The Shomrim Patrol is necessary for this community.  There are cultural barriers authorities would not be able to surmount in a moment's notice for emergencies.  The Shomrim Patrol is vital to this community.  At the time Leiby went missing I am sure they never expected him to be so brutally murdered.  They were anticipating finding a 'tricky new way' for Leiby to meet with friends.  The community never expected murder, they expected mischief. Such an outcome would speak to their kind and generous nature when evaluating their community.  They have a high level of comfort when problems present themselves.  They are confident they understand their community and their children.  I sincerely believe Leiby Kletzky would not have been found in two days if the Shomrim Patrol did not exist at all.


I hope the community can heal from this tragedy.

"The community patrols have the manpower that can immediately go into the crevices of a community that police may not even be aware of," he said.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly praised the group and said he understood that there was a tradition in the Hasidic community of notifying the citizen patrols first. But Kelly said he wished the Kletzky family had called 911 at the same time.

Geithner secures more time to break US budget stalemate

The actual event was reported on May 2, 2011 in the evening.  Secretary Geithner annouced on the evening of May 2nd he was able to provide THREE MORE MONTHS from that date for Congress to resolve the issue of the "Debt Ceiling."

The reason Treasury Secretary Geithner provided 'more breathing room ON THE EVENING OF MAY 2, 2011,' is because the USA House of Representatives had been continued to be DEAD LOCKED from April 2, 2011.  So, given three months until the money ran out seemed prudent.  I really is NOT the responsibility of any Treasury Secretary to provide 'breathing room' for raising the Debt Ceiling.  He has other work to do.

BUT.

Given the level of incompetency with the USA House of Representatives and their ideological deadlocks over nearly EVERYTHING, he made the effort to provide more time to END THE DEADLOCK and raise the debt ceiling.

The US House was notified on the evening of May 2, 2011 that the debt ceiling debate has to end with a bill to pass it by August 2nd.

I read through a portion of the bill and all that is on this blog.  The Affordable Care Act was not written overnight either.  The House Bill which outlined the final draft after Senate modifications was obviously a work of love over a long period of time.  


At the heart of the Affordable Care Act are the citizens of this nation, not some Joe Lieberman protected Plutocrat insurance companies.


The Democrats are a real threat to the Plutocrats.  They actually legislate and it is why the 'Four Crackpot Judges and one Conservative Judge' on the Supreme Court are so important after all.

The standard for setting up requirements for insurance in society made precedent a long time ago with the demand for medical coverage to be placed in several forms in Auto Insurance.  Heck, the Hartford now includes 'personal home care' as part of their package for AARP.  This 'individual manidate' mess is just that.  All the attorneys, or at least 99% of them that filed against the new law fall under 'one federal jurisdiction.'  That should tell the country something.


The Plutocratic assault against the health care law became more obvious when Liberty University (a Christian Conservative institution) filed against the law on the demand that this was also a provision for companies to meet as well.


I do believe the Solicitor General is wrong when stating this would result in a mandate as to what Americans could eat.  That is nonsense.  Insurance and grocery shopping having nothing in common, except media hype.  Such outrageous statements before a court are completely bizarre and play to 'the politics' and 'worse case scenarios.'  In regard to food, there IS a federal agency ASSIGNED the responsibility to protect the American citizens from harm, it is called the FDA.  But. to imply the federal government could act above that is hideous.  It is the responsibility of the government to protect citizens from harm and exploitation.  Making personal choices is frequently favored based in 'market pressures' in the USA, impacted by federal taxes, etc.  That hardly is mandate for imposing federal 'grocery lists' to citizens.

It sure is funny that, at basically the same time, state legislatures across the country began passing a slew of similar measures attacking collective bargaining, undocumented immigration and abortion, right? Just a weird coincidence, I'm sure, this sudden nationwide war on public employee unions and immigrants and women....

There is no surprise for many Americans, after all it was Paul Ryan's chart directly from The Heritage Foundation that gave away the fact these legislators are inept, controlled and monitored.  If Americans didn't get that picture than what indeed are Americans thinking?

The Declaration of Independence was not written from a 'template' from the King of England after all.

Through the corporate-funded (click here) American Legislative Exchange Council, global corporations and state politicians vote behind closed doors to try to rewrite state laws that govern your rights. These so-called "model bills" reach into almost every area of American life and often directly benefit huge corporations. Through ALEC, corporations have "a VOICE and a VOTE" on specific changes to the law that are then proposed in your state. DO YOU?...

This isn't just the USA Democracy, but, the potential is where capitalists exist throughout the world there is this potential for 'figure head' governments, such as the Regressives in the USA, that 'steer' legislative outcomes in the power of the corporations.  There was a taste of that in Russia with the Oligarchs, which is not connected to The Koch Brothers, at least not directly.

Today the Center for Media and Democracy rolled out a new web site, ALEC Exposed, based on a massive leak of information from the American Legislative Exchange Council, the powerful coalition of corporations, rightwing foundations, and state legislators who have been literally writing the laws at the state level to push their pro-business, anti- democracy agenda....

These are not competent legislators, they are manniquins bought and paid for by Wall Street.  The participant legislators are not able to govern or do they seek to govern.  They are the power brokers.

When Leiby's Father wept it was more than I could stand to hear. I had to change the television station.

Sweet, innocent and cherished child brutally destroyed in a horrific realty his parents feared more than any other possibility in their lives.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (CNN) -- Thousands of people showed up Wednesday evening for the funeral of a young Jewish boy.

He was found killed and dismembered in New York two days after disappearing.

In a small casket draped in black, the body of Leiby Kletzky made its way into a Borough Park Synagogue as thousands looked on.

Most of the people who showed up to the funeral had never met the young boy, but they stood shoulder-to-shoulder in a sea of sadness.

Police have charged 35-year-old Levi Aron with the boy's murder after finding remains in his apartment and a nearby trash bin.

They do not believe Aron knew Leiby.

I cannot imagine the despair the family and community must be experiencing right now.  It doesn't come worse than this.  Leiby must have been worried about the words of his parents when he knew freedom to return home was irretrivable.  I hate the life of confusion and longing he lived for the time he did, knowing the worries and fears of his parents.  I am confident that child suffered longing in a way few would know.

My deepest sympathies for his loss.  The loss is considerable and the scars deep. 

Michele Bachmann is getting to be my favorite Republican. She is getting to be a habit iwth me.

This segment is famous around the globe by now for all the wrong reasons.

What Michele (one L, not two) also said in this interview is that the USA would have enough money to be 'the INTEREST' on the naitonal debt, so no problem. Genius. I recognize that strategy as most university and college students do.  Pay the credit on the loan and take it off the income tax at the end of the year.

There can't be a Balanced Budget Amendment UNLESS Congress is willing to raise taxes on the wealthy, otherwise, the Middle Class will completely disappear and the poor won't have enough disposable income to have an economy at all, except, for what Chinese imports allow them.  Like it is now across more than 15% of the populous of the USA.

Why will the Middle Class disappear?  Because without disposable income and more burden for the cost of government, their economy will continue to shrink into oblivion.  Not only that, but, the most common way for the poor to increase their wealth is through public education.  How does the Middle Class increase the opportunity for their children?  Through education.  What do we know is the backbone of the Republican failure in education?  UNDERFUNDING and removing opportunity.  How do we know this besides the failure of Bush's "No Child Left Behind?"


Because Jeb Bush's Florida education 'credentials' have the same problem is not worse.

Claims that fourth-grade NAEP reading scores improved because of the test-based retention policy also ignore the likely influence of a number of reforms downplayed or ignored by Mr. Bush. These reforms include a state reading initiative, mandated class-size reductions, the provision of reading coaches, and an emphasis on early education.

The policy of assigning letter grades to schools has been followed by “a growing gap and greater inequities between higher- and lower-rated schools.”

Mr. Bush offers no evidence that alternative teacher credentialing has done anything to improve teacher quality. Other changes in seniority, tenure and test-based teacher evaluation won’t even be implemented until 2013-2014 – meaning that no credit can be assigned to them for any past Florida improvements.

Mr. Bush’s favored school choice measures are also advocated without sound evidence that they substantially influenced test scores....

If one followed Jeb Bush's "Florida Standard" for education, he began a Pre-Kindergarten to bring four year olds into public school because his Third Graders were being left behind so the Fourth Grade scores would not be effected.

It goes like this.  If children cannot achieve enough education in Kindergarten through Third Grade to pass the tests in the Fourth Grade then start them a year earlier so they are  completely prepped for 'dress rehearsal' of Fourth Grade testing by the Third Grade.  Failure is not an option.  Simple.


Bush was remediating his own failed education policies with taxpayer money.  Florida parents and grandparents thought it was great because were returned their free time and child care expenses were changing.  Would it be nice if every child could afford a 'leg up' to better education by starting early?  Yes?  That is how out of touch the USA consumer is with past successful standards in USA education.  Citizens of the USA don't understand what academic ACHIEVEMENT is all about anymore, how it begins, what age it begins and why 'institutionalizing the child' is part of a larger political victory.

Ireland only a short time ago was able to obtain remarkable achievements for a country recovering from internal wars, bigotry and strife.  The global banking collapse should have never touched this delicate economy which was the backbone to the peace sought for centuries.

The world worked with some of its best ambassadors, ministers, and presidents to bring about a peaceful economy that would provide pride to the people and another diamond on the face of this planet.  The government of Ireland is one of the first nations to respond to humanitarian crisis around the globe.  Somehow promoting peace and good will is an excellent 'fit' for this country and was does the financial community do PUNITIVELY without regard to 'the human condition' a nation maintains and contributes to?  They trash the financial stability of an entire SMALL nation still in its infancy of building strength for its people through a delicate economy.


What give any private financial institution on Earth the right to degrade an entire country of its status and stability.  There needs to be international laws governing the Bozo Bankers in the world that seek to 'have it their way' and only their way when it comes to financial stability of a country.


Gentlemen?  Gentlewomen?  Wall Street?  The three words don't fit together.  They are among the worst 'influences' in re-establishing global stability in any sense of the word that ever existed.  They should have been jailed after the Bush / Paulson Baffonery.  Tell me why that didn't happen?  Because Paulson was running 'the show' in Washington, DC.


This Almighty Financial Authority that governs sovereign nations is an assault against sovereignty, not a support of it.  I remind the European Union of some of the past 'ratings' and  '? insights ?' by these financial institutions to realize how completely idiotic their standards are.

Revenue. Where does the USA get its revenue? Answer that and then the debate will change.

Because, in order to PAY OFF THE NATIONAL DEBT there has to be an increase in revenue.  The country has to be able to function, including public employees, to sustain and grow the economy of the country. 

Currently, there is not enough REVENUE to pay all the bills.  We borrow and borrow and borrow some more in order to pay the bills rather than bringing in more REVENUE.

The lack of spending by the USA, as in the example above, is already causing some contracture than what was expected.  Manufactered PRODUCTS, made in the USA, has to have CUSTOMERS.  If those customers are public employees, then that is the way of the world.  If the customers aren't able to spend their monies on products produced in the USA there will be contracture of the economy and there will be more and more LOST REVENUE.

Revenue is a fun word, it sounds like "A Reverend you knew  Is has the word NEW in it.  Like NEW forms of REVENUE.  Like increasing the taxes on people that can best afford it.  "  Deficit is not a fun word.  Debt is not a fun word.  They sound like "Death and the death of it."

When was the last time the USA had SUFFICIENT REVENUE?

The last time the USA had sufficicent REVENUE was BEFORE the Bush Tax Cuts.

That was the last time.  That was the last time the USA has sufficient revenue.  Yes, you see.  When the Bush Tax Cuts occurred our REVENUE diminished and the lousy Republicans borrowed and borrowed and borrowed more and more and increased the debt ceiling again and again and again.  

Revenue is what the USA needs to RETURN TO. 

RETURN TO REVENUE.

"These large deficits are what is preventing job creation."

What does that mean exactly?  People I talk to believe it means that job creation will happen because there won't be either any taxes or anything preventing job growth.

NOT.

That means that with lower deficits, NOT DEBT, but deficits there will be more money to spend on job creation by the government.  AND if the government is able to create more jobs, then the economy will grow and there will be more job creation with more demand for goods and services.

"The expressions" used to describe what STILL NEEDS TO HAPPEN HERE are political expressions for the purpose of control of the MONEY.

What still needs to happen here is a LARGE STIMULUS.  How that is 'contexted' in the political debate is whether the electorate believes one party or the other rules THE MUCH NEEDED LARGER STIMULUS.

There are not a million solutions here and where it is getting really scary is that Bernanke is chomping at the bit again.  His Wall Street buddies want more captial to play the commodities market or buy and sell currency.

The language in this ? debate ? needs to change, the 'catchy' slogans need to stop and the electorate has to understand their options in 2012.  How that happens might be really interesting, but, to believe SHRINKING government is going to solve the problem is unrealistic.  Ask the EU how successful shrinking government spending is working for them.

For now, the Republicans simply need to pass a debt ceiling increase to cover their spending that occured from 2001 through 2009.

It is the Republican's debt, national debt, and they need to live with THAT FACT.

It is NOT the Democrats, it is NOT the President's deficit.  The Bush/Cheney era CAUSED this huge debt we now have.  Don't believe for one minute the National Debt is going to change because this 'episode' will resolve one way or the other.  The Republicans have no intention of lowering the Debt Ceiling as soon as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid become insolvent.  That isn't what will happen here.  The DEBT CEILING under Republicans after the entitlements are removed is simply MORE RESIDUAL to absorb into Wall Street and the irreverance of 'The Human Condition.'

The RHETORIC that does not belong in these circumstances is the fact that Republicans want to raise the debt ceiling so long as there are CUTS that equal the amount of increase passed. 

So, then they will have twice the room to spend on a Jobs Bill while appearing to have cut the National Debt.  It isn't that the Debt Ceiling will be resolved, it is just that there will be more room for them to keep bumping their heads on it while they pander to Americans.

Where are the jobs Eric Cantor?  Where are the jobs Speaker Boner?  Where are they?  Can't provide them without more spending?  Oh.

Where are the jobs Bernanke?  Another PRINTING in order to increase the happiness of Wall Street?

A Balanced Budget Amendment would limit the USA to go to war.  States and cities don't have to go to war, but, such a measure would definately limit the USA to declare war.  Definately.  Can you imagine having balanced the federal budget and then having a bomb dropped on the rail yards in Kansas City?  There would be no way.  Pure genius.  See, they are covert liberal extremists that want a Russian invasion just like every other commy liberal in the country.

The above statement is take from a 'daily analysis' of the federal budget after default.

The statement is on page nine and the daily analysis begins on page 21.  The pages from 9 through 20 is a discussion of 'scenarios.'

On August 12 there is finally a $1 Billion surplus.  Now, with all the past debt unpaid from August 3rd where is the one billion going to go?  Probably carried over to August 13.

Page 35 states:

• The risks are real:

– The Treasury market, interest rates

– Level and status of the dollar

– Our economy

– The global financial system
• No guarantee of the outcome; risks are risks

As of August 3, 2011, in the USA, Social Security Recipients ...

...won't be able to pay their rent, purchase groceries or medications and have air conditioning to keep themselves cool in this blistering heat.

How long does anyone believe they will last? 

There is no State or City prepared for these dynamics.

President Obama said today that Social Security Checks would stop after August 3, 2011.

Isn't that the goal of the Regressives? 

Don't they think of every dependent person in the country as 'baggage,'  trouble, lazy or any combination of the three?  Isn't that the truth regardless of what they say?  Why else would they be unwilling to see the folly of the Bush Tax Cuts, especially in disproportion to the wealthy. 

Yet, they claim want a flatter and fairer tax structure.

Liars.

I don't believe it has the sticker price of Fisher - Price.

An emotional day on the Space Coast as the solid rocket boosters return for the very last time Monday.
They're responsible for giving space shuttle Atlantis enough power to escape the gravitational pull of the Earth.
Crew onboard the Freedom Star has been out at sea since Thursday.
The rocket boosters separate from the external tank a few miles after liftoff and fall into the ocean. They're retrieved about 150 miles out at sea.
The crew members said the trip out there was difficult because of the weather, but said it was amazing to see the amount of people waving them in when they arrived.

Speaker Boner does not have his facts straight. It is the same 'ole, same 'ole Republican rhetoric and not a sincere dedication to the people of the USA.

Ask any state and local government why they are cutting deeply into jobs and they'll tell you it is due to lack of revenue.

The American people need to realize how delicate this recovery is proceeding while realizing when a public employee is impacted because Republicans won't tax the wealthy and windfall profits to benefit their balanced budgets the economy loses.  Why does it lose?

Because the disposable income to the economy falls and causes 'contraction' and not 'expansion' of the economy.
Why does it lose?

Because public workers now are receiving unemployment benefits instead of providing work for salary.  They become a cost without a benefit to the government using federal funds as well.  At least there are unemployment benefits to fall back on for these families.  Additionally, government layoffs or closings are ususally not a problem for the unemployed because it means the public sector is growning to take on the function of government such as the post office, Fed Ex and UPS.  That was a transition that was orderly and supported all available workers across the board.  The USA cannot completely do without the US Post Office either.  But, it is an example of what I am saying.

Government does not have to contract in a sustained and growing economy either.  More adults become of age and enter the work force everyday.  Those needs can be picked up by private industry rather than growoing government hence the potential of Fed Ex and UPS to grow with that population providing services and adding jobs.

The draconianism of the Republicans by not taxing the wealthy is contracting this economy and it is felt most in the public sector where employees are still needed and their work is still vital to this country, their states and their cities.  Ask a city worker if he or she were unneeded in the job they did?  Ask them if there are comparable private sector jobs to move into after a brief stent on unemployment?  The answer are obvious.

The public sector jobs contribute vital parts of the USA economy and should never be bargained away for campaign promises or rhetoric.

The radical Republican Right lead by Cantor is destroying the economy and causing hardship when they are refusing to tax the wealthy.  It is outrageous and their messages are all rhteoric.  I'd like Cantor to have an open news covference and deal with the public rather than hide in his office for photo ops.  The problem with that is the answers would be nothing more than rhetoric to attack the President while never answering the real problems in a way that explains their position.  The do not have the statisiics or the 'on the ground' research to prove a thing they are saying.
