Photographer states :: First of many Fire Trucks arrive to the fire a few minutes after it begins but after they arrived the winds changed and the fire spread out of control in the desert heat.

Photographer states :: We discovered this fire after a lightning strike started it 15 minutes earlier. Several locations in the park including camp sites were evacuated and closed for the day. It was fully contained until the next day but not after eating up over 740 acres of beautiful Desert wildlife and Joshua Trees.

I'd like to believe it is over for New England and the Northeast, but, it doesn't look like it. The system over the Great Lakes will probably slide over the Northeast bringing more rain. Damn it !
