The Laken Riley Act is a political bill. Of course it is bipartisan because it is more of the “identity” politics that Trump is most famous.
No one wants criminals walking the streets making the USA less safe. It is heartbreaking for any young American to be murdered. But, to create fear of “the illegal immigrants” is simply wrong. The majority of the undocumented are decent people working jobs not filled by Americans.
Trump’s criminals are not benign citizens. Unfortunately, they are on the street again and can’t be deported because they were born here.
