NORTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -- Snow blowers and snowplows are getting a workout in North Lake Tahoe as the snow continues to fall.
Back-to-back storms have many ski resorts reporting 10-day storm totals of more than seven feet, and 15 feet of new snow for the month of January alone, the North Lake Tahoe Visitors Bureau reported Thursday.
Another foot to two feet of new snow is predicted before the weekend, according to the bureau.

..."The great thing about (our recent storms) is that they're coming from the north," Herrera said. "That means they're bringing a lot of cold air, which makes for a great snow event."...
The sky resorts know when the snow arrives from the south through heat transfer directly from the Equator, the snow won't last as what follows is warm air that melts all the snow fall. I'll look at the satellite because there is no thing as 'normal' weather anymore.
