At least seven deaths are being blamed on a winter storm moving from the Midwest and into the East.
Three people died in separate traffic accidents in Wisconsin. Illinois, Michigan and Colorado have each seen accidents where one person was killed. And a member of Purdue University's ice hockey team died last night when a team van overturned in Indiana.

Forecasters say a foot of snow is possible in parts of New England, with as many as 20 inches in Maine.
