With the extent there is so much damage...

...in Japan.  A first world country.  I believe we are looking at years if not a decade before the area returns to any definition of itself.  No one hopes I am wrong more than me.

The nuclear facilities have to be a high priority to evacuation.  While the Japanese government can state there needs to be evacuations in the area, I question the reality of the ability of people to actually leave to protect themselves.  I would think this should be one of the first places people would be removed if they cannot achieve escape due to flooding and infrastructure failure.

The plant itself was never prepared to protect from such a seismic event.  I would hope the USA and Japan are looking at a potential of building a sarcophagus in a worst case scenario.  Let's hope it doesn't deteriorate to that, but, I believe it is necessary to examine those options.

Unless Japanese standards exceed that of the USA, there is every possibility, with repeated high intensity aftershocks, the facilities' integrity is in danger.

Japanese authorities said pressure was rising inside the plant with the risk of a radiation leak, according to the Jiji news agency. One British atomic engineer said the evacuation suggested a radioactive leak remained a possibility.
"It looks very serious. Obviously we do not know exactly what is going on but evacuating people is normally only a matter of last resort when there is only one containment layer left to be breached," said John Large, a member of the British Nuclear Engineering Society and a fellow of the Royal Society.
If radioactivity has broken through into the final dome over the top of the plant this would put the incident on a par with the Three Mile Island accident in the US which cost $1bn in 1979 money.
Another nuclear expert said that if the water cooling system had broken down, the consequences could be dire....

The reason this problem exists at all, with at least one of the facilities the back up diesel power plant took on water.  Get the picture?

The Japan coastal areas dynamics are unstable.

I can't but wonder if similar dynamics occurred off Chile in South America.  I don't recall much information regarding the oceans, coastal communities and fishing industry being interrupted.  It would easy to find out.

While I believe there is significant damage, I also believe the 'area' effected is limited.  The aftershocks are still radiating from the same region without too much migration.  So, while this continues the energy waves are still concentrated in a region.  That means the repeated 'vibration' will continue to knock this area's infrastructure loose.

The images I am looking at have a lot of 'perspective.'  In the picture above there is a tower that provides invaluable dynamics to realiize the size and scope of the dynamics in relation to the infrastructure.  I don't know what the engineers of Japan's infrastructure have planned for, but, with repeated 'vibration' exposure it is bound to have a toll.

The whirlpools above are not caused by the earthquake directly.  They are caused by the tsunamis from the underwater displacement.  They occur because the displaced water 'piles up' in areas and the only resolve to the 'energy' is to move in a circle.  The velocity of that circle will determine its dangers.  The images I am receiving appear to be that of somewhat ? weak ? but sizeable dynamics.  If one realizes there are concrete structures jutting out into the water where these dynamics are playing out, on many occassion the 'energy / wave' dynamics of the whirlpool are interrupted by the structure and DO NOT appear to continue on the other side of that dynamic.  So, while these are significant and NO ONE should be seeking a 'thrill moment' in the wake of these whirlpools (YOU WILL DIE.) there is some hope in that the 'power' to destroy is limited.

What I am saying is, the damage is mostly being caused due to 'quantity' of water rather than by 'velocity.'  I believe the infrastructure of Japan is defeating quite handily the water dynamics of the ocean and its interaction with land.  That isn't true in the 'volume' of the water, but, certainly appears to be in the 'velocity.' 

That is not to say there won't be significant death with this earthquake.  There will be.  Where the Japan infratructure meets with land the impact is significant and the damage to life and limb dramatic.  It is realistic to believe there are lives lost that will result in a 'missing person' list.

My sympathy for every person lost and their friends and family.

The tsunami may have caused more deaths than the quake in a limited area. Some of those that may have been on those ships will have survived. The ships may have trouble with engine propulsion, so I would expect any coastal effort would be looking for stranded vessels that may or may not have passengers. This tape shows cars on roadways undisturbed even in their movement down the road while the waters underneath are extremely turbulent. The Japanese infrastructure must be amazing.

The quake occurred on the 'Ring of Fire' side of Japan. That does not mean the tsunami only traveled to the West Coast of the USA.

While the Russian national newspaper, RIA Novosti focuses on what is in 'western' news in their English edition, htere are parts of Russia, China, Canada, the Pacific Islands, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand worried about the outcome.  Outcomes that might be personal in that people are visiting in Japan and the potential for tsunami effects.

Tsunami warnings have also been issued for Guam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hawaii and Canada....

The picture accompanying this article is profound.  The fires, the flooding and the devastation of an 8.9 earthquake.  While everyone wants survivors to 'dial in' the chances any survivor in these areas even has any infrastructure to make that happen is unlikely.


In areas like this there is only ONE authority ABLE to begin to RECON the ability for search and rescue.  That is the militaries of the area.  ALL NGOs will be helpful, but, they have to be 'staged in' for there to be any sincere SAFETY and EFFECTIVENESS.  I sincerely don't want to hear how any military operation is standing in the way of any Not-For-Profit organization. 

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE to move into these areas without prior knowledge and an 'expert base' to achieve those goals.  With a 8.9 on the Richter there are going to be substantial 'aftershocks' and otherwise.  With significant aftershocks comes new tsunami warnings.

Japan's people, throughout that nation are traumatized.  THEY LIVE THERE.  In the last decade that country has sustained an enormous amount of trauma from earthquakes.  If NGOs want to help, then help the people that have survivied this quake and are paralized in their own lives because of the repeated trauma simply living in this island nation. 

Add to that the threat of North Korea's nuclear program and the dangers faced by the people of South Korea and what does that equate to?  Security?  If it only could be true.

This quake happened at 05:46:23 UTC, which is about midnight EST.  I was awake then.  I wasn't on the computer, but, the news said nothing.  I remember the Indonesian Christmas quake.  Within minutes there were reports streaming about that event. 

Oh, well.  It simply tells me that the quake has hit some vital areas and the information was very remote in coming to the global community.

When I look at the 'shake map' the quake was 24.4 km deep or just over 15 miles down into the crust of the Earth.  That is a fairly shallow eipcenter and why the energy wave did such damage.  Ths shake map is not that large and while there is significant damage to the East Coast of Japan it appears to be limited there.  The after shocks continue to radiate both deeper and shallow around that epicenter.  So, what ever is happening it is limited to a specific stress point in the planet.

Watching Uproar Over Wisconsin Protests, It's Time to Remember How Unions Make Our Lives Better

That's  why we let people vote to join unions, to stand up together for working Americans and to fulfill the vision of freedom and equality for which our nation was founded. -- Just like we let people vote anti-democratic, anti-working families politicians out of office.

They sincerely received this report from the Associated Press?  Demonstrators were carried out and opposed their removal the entire time.

Can the media get on the same pages with this?  Would be good.  This is where people lose respect for organized media.  When the reports are more propaganda than 'real,' You Tube and Twitter becomes the staples of the information diet.

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Capitol was eerily quiet Thursday night following three weeks of protests against anti-union legislation that drew tens of thousands of demonstrators to Madison. While people had been sleeping in the building for weeks, all eventually left after the Assembly voted to approve a bill eliminating public employee's collective bargaining rights.

The Senate had passed the bill the day before, and with the Assembly's action, the bill pushed by Republican Gov. Scott Walker was certain to become law with his signature.

The demonstrators' mostly peaceful departure ended a tense day that started with about 50 protesters being hauled from a hallway leading to the Assembly chamber. Police carried them out one at a time, dragging some in a seated position and holding others a few inches off the ground.

The protesters, who didn't resist, were set down behind a line of officers about 20 yards away. Other protesters walked out voluntarily. No one was arrested....

And will some of Laura Ingram's peers seriously council with her.  She is giving female journalists a bad name.  She doesn't do anything except rant 'Control, control, control' about global issues.  If this is the sincere 'core fear center' of the Right Wing Woman then I am not surprised we have a military budget greater than the next 14 nations combined.

As a mother she must be a horror.  Seriously.  I mean that completely.  Hate and fear. 

The Great Democrats of Wisconsin

According to a conversation with Wisconsin State Senator Vinehout on CNN, the Wisconsin 14 are staying in Illinois.

They are staying until the Wisconsin Senate recesses and they cannot be dragged into a session they oppose.

Regardless of the shenanigans of the Wisconsin Republicans from yesterday to the next adjournment, the fourteen Wisconsin Democratic Senators are very powerful people.  They hold the potential of protecting their public employees from a governor that views their earnings as disposable for his politics.

Right now the Wisconsin Legislature cannot pass a budget.  They don't have a quorum.

That means the cuts in the budget that would raise the cost of health care and pensions to the state employees cannot be passed into law either.

Basically, the Senate Republicans under the mentoring of a governor to a plutocracy should have never pulled this stunt.  I admire the Senators that remain in Illinois.  Their statement alone is so incredible to realize the 'tricky' of the Wisconsin Republicans does not change their resolve.  They are there 110% for their constituency in full view and insight to the ruthlessness of the current Republican majorities all the way to the State Executive Branch.


The Wisconsin Republicans have made, "W"rongfully, the state employees of Wisconsin a national platform.  They are locked into their abuse of power and they are simply using their wrongful administration to continue this ludicrous victimizing of these people.  The Wisconsin RNC should have never placed such 'political capital' on Wisconsin.  It is "W"rong to victimize innocent citizens for political rhetoric.  It is simply wrong.  The good people of Wisconsin should not have been put under a microscope for national politics.  The political races are over and it is time to govern.  So far, the Wisconsin Republicans haven't begun to govern so much as continue the priorities for their party.

The great leadership I am witnessing with the Wisconsin Democrats give people hope.  That hope is very important.  It is necessary so average citizens feel important to their government and empowered to 'go forward' into an agenda of fairness and compromise.  That hope is a commodity that prevents victimization.

As long as the Wisconsin Democrats have the will to stand up for compromise, fairness and better outcomes for the Middle Class, they will receive unending loyalty and support.  It is difficult for them and their familes.  But, their fortitude is all that is required now and any other force other than freedom to assemble and freedom of speech dissipates with the hope they provide. 

Unfortunately, their state has tremendous pressure in these circumstances it should have to withstand, but, we are all in it and we will prevail. 

Thank you to fourteen great Democrats.

KINDLY remember 'one thing.'    Just one thing.  We are the amateurs.  These Democrats never intended to be under fire like this.  They may stumble on occassion as they are demoralized and then regroup.  They have the right and best priorities.  We all need to stay together and keep pulling for each other.  We don't have an 'agenda.'  We cannot expect to 'read minds' either. 

We can do this.

US House Representative Peter King's double standard.

In his opening salvos, King quoted Attorney General Holder in stating what keeps him up at night.


However.


King won't allow Attorney General Holder to testify because it would contradict 'the focus' he is seeking.


House hearings are suppose to be inclusive and I could understand how an extremist should not testfy on his own behalf (Or should he?), but, to quote the Attorney Gerenal of the USA out of context of his own comments, statistics and focus is simply outrageous.


On the other side is Representative Ellison.  He noted the White Christian dynamic that plays out in extremism in violence noted in the Pro-Life Movement, the Gun Lobby and Anti-Semitism.  He stated there was never a panel such as this before focusing on the worship services of Christian extremists.  He is correct.  This is the first time a 'religion' is being scrutinized for extremism in their 'practices.' 


However, Homeland Secretary Janet Napoletano did warn, and quite correctly, about these racist christian extremists.  What happened when she did, though?  The Right Wing Media immediately began to 'radicalize' their viewership and readership.

So, the focus of Representative Ellis is more than correct.  This is a highly unusual event and victimizes people within their core belief systems regaarding God or in this case Allah.  It should not be tolerated and Rep. King needs to apologize to the Muslim community.

In case Senator McConnell has forgotten, the President went through a great deal of trouble to submit 'A Budget" the country needed. 

I do believe the SENATE VOTE was insufficient to pass the BIZARRE and PARITSAN budget submitted by the House.

The PROBLEM with the NATIONAL DEBT is not the budget, it is the size and scope of the military, the LACK OF TAXES by the wealthiest in the country and in a minor way, the entitlements.  Because if the wealthy put money back into the USA Treasury (The place where they found it.) the entitlements could be modified in a realistic way to extend their effective life to the next three generations until they decided to repair it again.

The truth of the matter is, the plutocracy and the media that caters to them are throwing Grandma under the bus. 

They are throwing our children under the bus and they are throwing the American Dream under the bus.

Because the Repbulicans and their cronies don't want to take responsibility they won't take responsibility.

Clarence Thomas committed an ethical violation according to the law.  No Power Play that was advocated by a comedian should be the reality of the American people.  If it was a 'so called' liberal judge on the court they would be impeached by now.

Steven Colbert's antics are renditions of 'Moot Court' in a university setting.  Wow.

Then everyone wonders how the electorate are so out of touch with the reality of their own lives and life experiences.  Will Americans ever 'do the right thing' for themeselves again?

The Republicans chronically stir up the elections by 'causing thought' about threats. During the Pre-invasion of Iraq all we heard is the treat of 'The Mushroom Cloud."

That stopped after the plutocrats of the oil industry wer allowed into the vat of oil in Iraq. What then occurred was a policy of nuclear proliferation by selling nuclear capacity to Asia and the Middle East. It was and still is the philosophy of the Republicans to arm every country on the globe with nuclear arms to 'nullify' the threat.

I want to have Americans ask themselves, given the instability of the Middle East and dictators such as Gadhaffi, is that a good policy to elect into office?

The Republican Party stands for something and if anyone believes it is benevolent in any of its content, they are wrong. The Republicans serve the wealthy, they put the national debt and deficit square on the shoulders of the Middle Class and make the world a more dangerous place. Why can't that be impressed on the electorate of the USA?

How many people today watch investment bank commercials in amusement rather than 'engagement?'

Every election the American people are unable to be loyal to principles and allow themselves to believe they have good leadership on both sides of the aisle, so place 'your bets' on Election Day things will be different THIS TIME.

Santorum is a candidate? Why? Money and Fun. That is the focus of the RNC candidates this year.

Santorum is trying to Reagan in any way he can.  He stated he doesn't understand why it is so difficult to bomb Libya as Reagan did.

Think about that a minute.

Eighteen F-111 bombers supported by four EF-111 electronic countermeasures aircraft flying from the United Kingdom bombed Tripoli airfield, a frogman training center at a naval academy, and the Bab al-Aziziya barracks in Tripoli. During the bombing of the Bab al-Aziziya barracks, an American F-111 was shot down by a Libyan SAM missile over the Gulf of Sidra. Some bombs landed off-target, striking diplomatic and civilian sites in Tripoli, while the French embassy was only narrowly missed. Some Libyan soldiers abandoned their positions in fright and confusion, and officers were slow to give orders. Libyan anti-aircraft fire did not begin until after the planes had passed over their targets. Twenty-four A-6 Intruders and F/A-18 Hornets launched from aircraft carriers bombed radar and antiaircraft sites in Benghazi before bombing the Benina and Jamahiriya barracks. A number of bombs missed their targets and hit residential areas, along with a number of Western embassies in Benghazi.

And after all was said and done, Gaddafi was still the dictator in Libya with two dead grandchildren.

The attacks failed to kill Gaddafi. Forewarned by a telephone call from Malta's Prime Minister, Karmenu Mifsud Bonncii, that unauthorized aircraft were flying over Maltese airspace heading south towards Tripoli, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and his family rushed out of their residence in the Bab al-Azizia compound moments before the bombs dropped. According to Giulio Andreotti (the 42nd Prime Minister of Italy) and Abdel Rahman Shalgham (Libya's Foreign Minister from 2000 until 2009), Italian politician Bettino Craxi
was the person who actually warned Gaddafi.

The planes were spotted and reported to Gaddafi.  Now, while it created remorse by Gaddhfi and the Lockerbee

While the bombing served a purpose and we are all grateful Libya is disarmed of its nuclear weapons, the idea the same tactic would result in better outcomes is nothing more than silly. 

But, true to form, as long as a candidate sounds like Reagan 'enough' he won favor among those in Iowa.  That is the rank of the Right Wing.  They lie and deceive and 'find messages' that work to win votes regardless of the truth or their ability to carry out the realities of the words.

Bachmann found words in a law she should have read and debated rather than running around screaming there were death squads and Granny killers.  But, she didn't.  Santorum will seek to appear Reaganesque even though he hasn't got a chance at winning the Presidency.  Why bother?  Money.  Fame.  Temporary Power.  Influence the elections across the country at all levels so people like Walker are elected that cater to plutocrats and rob the Middle Class of their integrity, values and power.

That is what occurred yesterday in Wisconsin.  The integrity of the Middle Class was robbed, made to feel inadequate in their own defense through the only mechanism their democracy affords them.  The Republican Party has no shame, they do not respect the lives of the Middle Class and will rob them of every nickel.  Republicans love to demoralize the Middle Class right up to the point where they can lie to them for votes.

Why isn't Chrisi running?  No surprise here.

In reality, state employees have paid 1.5 percent of their salaries toward health insurance since 2007, in addition to co-payments and deductibles, and since last spring, many local government workers, including teachers, do as well. The few dozen school districts where employees agreed to concessions last year still saw layoffs and cuts in academic programs.

“Clearly there has been a pattern of the governor playing fast and loose with the details,” said Brigid Harrison, a political science professor at Montclair State University. “But so far, he’s been adept at getting the public to believe what he says.”...

The American electorate is chronically robbed of their dignity, it is just that they allow it so much they sincerely don't seek it anymore.  The events in Wisconsin to demoralize the public actually plays into the strategy of Republicans.  The more demoralize people become the easier they are to lie to because they don't care anymore.

Republicans, by methodology and track record, are not good people.  The reason the Middle Class is facing their reality today is because for eight long and stupid years they were lied to, deceived, corralled like cattle to fear the unknown and then robbed of their treasury.  The wealthy that reaped the riches sowed during that time needs to be taxed, but, are they?  No.  What is occuring is a 'moral tax' by the Middle Class and that is all that will occur. 

The country is in trouble.  The monies hoarded by the wealthy need to be returned to the USA treasury.  If the Middle Class continues to be demoralized and continues to make the mistakes of believing the Republican manipulation of the truth, they will disappear.  A nation of Plutocratic Peasants.  That is what will be left if that isn't what exists already.

I know those monies are there, I read them over and over during the year the Bill was being debated.

So, all of a sudden she isn't standing at the front of the House opposing a bill for rhetorical reasons, but, actually reading it and everyone should be put on notice?

Perhaps she simply needs better eyeglasses from her government paid health care policy.

Wisconsin Anti-Union Bill passes with 17 Republican votes. It never was about the budget after all.

The RECALLS must go forward.

I don't see why Democrats and unions have to make budget concessions now.

I would think the unions across the State would consider a strike in protest of violation of the public trust.

I would expect the unions to begin litigation as soon as the Governor signs the bill.  It is a federal law they are tampering with.

MADISON, Wis. — Republicans pushed a provision stripping public employees of their collective bargaining rights through the state Senate Wednesday evening by separating it from Gov. Scott Walker's controversial budget bill.

The action, if it stand, would have the effect of rendering moot a Democratic attempt to keep the provision from passing the Senate. The vote in the Senate was 18-1. No Democrats were present.

All 14 Democrats had left the state to prevent passage of the overall budget bill in opposition to the collective bargaining rights.

The Senate is split 19-14 with Republicans in the majority. Because the union provision was part of a budget bill, Republicans in the Senate needed at least 20 senators present for a quorum....

This is a direct attack on the American Middle Class while corrupt Republicans pander to their cronies.  There is nothing else that adds up.  The bill, as it stands, has nothing to do with the budget. 

The Republicans lied from the beginning and they continue to carry out an agenda that threatens Middle Class families.

Unfortunately, the GOP had a lot at stake in Wisconsin.  Their new Chairman was running scared that the Republican majority was actually failinig to 'deliver the goods.'  There was a lot at stake.

Williams was "W"rong and continues to be "W"rong.

It would be a perfect day for Murdoch's Mafia and their ability to support Republican extremism at the time of the inappropriate House Muslim Hearings if they could 'pull this off' and prove once and for all "Williams was right."  The only thing Williams is 'Right' about in verbalizing his own fears, is Right Wing Extremism.  I am sure it is in the $2 million reward somewhere.

Juan Williams Rips Into 'Elitist' NPR Over Hidden-Camera Video | Hannity  (click title to entry - thank you)

This video and 'episode' of a hissy fit by Hannity only proves the point all the more.  If I am not mistaken, Hannity was the primary supporters of O'Keefe from the beginning.  This should be no surprise to anyone and to actually put brevity to this mess is hideous.

Murdoch's Mafia is having a fit over a commentator they now pay $2 million per contract.

Juan Williams made an inflammatory statement and it is more than interesting it should rise to 'vindication' when there are victimizing House hearings on American Muslims.

If this isn't orchestrated, don't ask me what is.

It is not only well documented that Murdoch's Mafia has been having a chronic rant of hatred of the Muslim community across the board to make instill 'the culture of fear' for the 2012 elections, it is completely imprudent to 'enter their fire storm' every time it manifests. 

Really bad news for Freedom of Speech if everytime Murdoch's Lieutenants INCREASE THE VOLUME there are knee jerk reactions to it.  Really bad.

KNOWN FACT:  "Duck and Cover" proven to be ineffective propaganda.

Eveidently, the CEO of NPR really isn't the person for the job. She evidently wasn't capable of 'defending' freedom of speech.

The NPR executive isn't a reporter, commentator, producer or editor. I'd hardly like my work to be judged based on the off-the-record, lunch-time commentary of a Post business executive uninvolved in its production.

And, yet, the fund-raiser does sell NPR's journalism, and, in the process, he makes its work a player in this scandal. He insinuates that those with whom he's meeting -- two men who claim to be associated with a Muslim Brotherhood front group and who say they might want to give NPR $5 million -- will find satisfaction in the network's coverage, which he terms "fair." What does he mean? Does this reflect some covert biases he might know about at NPR, or just a fund-raiser's toadyish attempt to pull in $5 million? A bit of both?...

It would seem as though 'Doves' need to have a 'time out' chair to realize they are under attack by Hawks.

There is way too much anxiety with journalism.  Way too much. 

I think of it this way, "If one does not stand their ground, there is a very good chance it will be lost."

The Budget Cuts by the House were along political ideologies. It is oppression.

Any cuts should be distributed 'across the board' and not simply reflect hubris by the Republicans of the House. 

THAT IS GOOD GOVERANCE? 

No. 

They are ideologues set on destroying the 'ideas' and 'priorities' of other Americans. 

Their excuse is 'elections have consequences.

Really?

To what extent, does it imperil citizen's well being and how EXACTLY will such decisions impact the freedom Americans have come to know as 'equitable.'

The Tea Baggers are a problem and direct the pandering they do to their cronies.

I cannot believe 'the access' by the Koch Brothers of a Massachusetts Governor begging for money and a Wisconsin Governor doing the same thing within his office.

There is a lot "W"rong.  A lot. 

Republicans are promoting ideologies of cronies and political hacks on taxpayer money. 

While all they hacked away at anything that was not of their liking they increased the military budget.  That isn't governance, that is having a field day with taxpayer monies to promote ideologies for political monies.

I don't think so.

So, the Ideological Right Wing of the House of Representative in the USA are now exerting CENSORSHIP over public airways.

Interesting.

Whatever happened to CORPORATE freedom of speech?  That doesn't exist for NOT FOR PROFIT organizations?

Really?

So, now the Republicans are attempting to control freedom of speech. 

To begin with it is my understanding there were some 'personal opinions' about the Tea Baggers that were 'spot on' and viewed as inflammatory and a reason to dismiss a gentleman from NPR.

Then the CEO resigns to attempt to accept responsibility for the 'scandal' promulgated by THE RIGHT WING media in support of the Right Wing Ideologues of the USA House.

Hello? 

That is called corruption of government and abuse of power / authority.  There are direct connections between the Right Wing Media and the House of Representatives AGAIN.

NPR needs to understand the defunding has nothing to do with anyone in their organization or their personal right to Freedom of Speech.  The defunding is due to ideologies and the demand by the Right Wing to silence any speech except what they approve of.  No matter what NPR does to 'demonstrate' good faith it will be rejected.

NPR is under attack by political ideologues that exert power outside the context of good governance.  There is nothing here that is going to change that no matter how much PUBLIC RADIO tries to seek their funding 'in accordance' with 'Right Wing Demands.'

Besides, this is oppression of THE TRUTH.

O'Keefe is a known political operative that is 'reactionary' to the ability of Left Wing Bloggers to 'think' and 'get on record' a Governor way out of line and abusing power himself.  The fact O'Keefe is 'at it again' should be no surprise.  He's trying to re-establish a wayward career.  This is in retaliation of the Governor tape.  Absolutely.

The truth of the matter is the Tea Baggers are political extremists that have proven themselves to 'practice their ideology' before they actually govern.

Now, while there are going to be some cutbacks in spending, the reason the CEO resigned may have been due to her lack of insight to the possibility of any defunding realizing the economic disaster of 2008.  But, if she resigned because she thought it would 'save the funding.'  It was useless to do that.

And to realize another gentleman was fired for having the 'nerve' to speak the truth after he was 'baited' is oppression of 'the truth' even if it is offensive to hear.

There is a lot "W"rong with these circumstances, but, little of it belongs to NPR.  The gentlemen that spoke in a private  conversation never intended to hurt his employer.  Quite different than the deliberate statements of Mr. Sheen.

I find it alarming Congress is exterting censorship of a valuable network of exceptional talent that support the USA society 'at large' in venues where their is primarily NEGLIGENCE by the commercial enterprise. 

This is profoundly worrisome.  Profoundly.  All the other 'antics' of Mr. O'Keefe or otherwise isn't the real issue. 

 AT ALL.

Why are the Republican House demands regarding Gitmo ideological?

For real.

People can't quantify that?

Don't realize the obvious?

At least 118 votes and actually more than 118 votes have never been there. 

That is no way to run a country, a military or a judicial system.

I can't wait for the next International Red Cross report.

These people are afraid of their own shadow.  This has nothing to do with national security for the USA or the international community.  This is 'the political payoff' of the Right Wing Media to the extremists 'of Bush.'

The House is corrupt.  This is a prime example of it. 

The current attack on the Obama Administration from the Right Wing Extremists that sincerely imperil the USA with their corrupt ideology is a direct result of 'the promise' of Right Wing Media for vindication in losing in 2008.  Let's face it.  If the Right Wing Media can't deliver what good are they.  So they convinced Sarah Palin to pursue the 'wealth' of politics to 'bring back' the old corrupt and 'culture of fear' standards of the Bush Administration to carry out exactly THIS.

Like I said.  The Tea Baggers started their rant BEFORE President Obama even took office and before there was any change in policy, so all this mess and it is a mess, has been engineered by the Right Wing Media in their 'Economy of Words' during the first two years of this presidency.

This is NOT good policy and it is not the President's goal.  He is simply too pragmatic to be as stubborn as the extremists we find in the House right now and he wants to begin to return some kind of judicial process to the human beings detained in Gitmo.

Conservatives claiming "vindication" for Bush on Gitmo are wrong  (click title to entry - thank you)

Yesterday the Obama administration announced it would file new charges in military commissions, indicating that the president's promise to close Gitmo will go unfulfilled for the foreseeable future. 
Conservatives committed to burnishing Bush's legacy were quick to claim vindication, arguing that the decision proved that the detention camp at Gitmo was a good idea all along. But Obama's decision doesn't prove this at all.
The administration also released an executive order outlining its new indefinite detention policy. Not much has changed from when I first wrote about it a few months ago -- the new procedures formally adopt what Karen Greenberg referred to as "the heart of Bush policy" while making the process marginally fairer by allowing individuals detained indefinitely who have lost their habeas cases to be represented by counsel during periodic reviews every six months....

The Right Wing extremists in the House of Representatives are not good legislators, they do not examine the facts, they base their votes on ideology and they are a danger to the Constitution of the USA.  This is PROOF.
