Impoverishment

There are few if any Americans that live in abject poverty. There is some, but, not to the extent it is found in other countries. This is a rescue of sorts in Egypt. The veterinarian is absolutely magnificent. He teaches the people so much whether he realizes it or not.

He calls them "enslaved horses." (click here)

I have never witnessed the cruelty this veterinarian fights all the time. This is a horse that was in service to it's owner in Egypt.

I do give to this rescue when I can. His willingness to reach into the immorality of the animal cruelty and correct the path is incredible to me. He has improved his practice due to engaging others through his You Tube channel.

Egypt needs to not only improve the quality of life of it's people, but, instill some kind of animal cruelty laws.

He calls himself, "Dr. Ali Safari." By engaging a larger community through YouTube he has captured the attention of others and has been able to develop his practice to bring animals into his care that he alone sponsors through others that care about the work.

He has found a horse alive in a garbage dump. He was able to have him walk to his compound where he literally returned the horse to life. I congratulate him.

This is the degree impoverishment exists in the world. Egypt is next to Gaza and Israel. Egypt has been considered an ally to the USA in the past. I just don't understand how this administration can recognize the impoverishment of others and do nothing by ending USAid. I doubt Dr. Ali received such monies, but, it is the people. The owners of these animals that have abject poverty as a reality day after day.

The removal of aid to the people is highly immoral. The people are suffering. This is the way the USA tried to help turn a corner for people. We relieved the suffering a little bit every day, year after year. There is simply no way an administration that allows other people to suffer in the face of being able to do something about it can be viewed any way as a benevolent force in the world.

Politics aside. The dedication of Dr. Ali is amazing. He sometimes buys these animals out of slavery and sometimes the cruelty is just too blatant and the owners give up when facing the opportunity for the animal to be cared for when they can no longer care for them. Consider a donation. It is needed and remarkably well used.
