Theranos is a shame. A complete and absolute shame of Wall Street.

Elizabeth Holmes (click here) trial has gone to the jury. In her defense pleadings she took the stand and testified she was strongly influenced by her co-defendant,  Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani who has not gone to trial. They had an intimate relationship that was abusive to say the least. That relationship was obvious when he sought to have a guaranteed seat at her trial (click here).

I think the entire Theranos episode for Wall Street showed how little investors are interested in the product to understand it, so much as how the product sells. They didn't understand the science or in this case the lack of it in order to offer investors a real opportunity. For all the trouble Theranos had in producing a product that was reliable and safe, the deception was masked completely by big money that wanted to believe they had a real discovery in the founder of the company.
