North Pole Forecasted Temperatures by The Weather Channel
The Polar Vortex is still traveling off center. The center of course was the north pole. Now the temperature distribution proves an unsupported vortex.

What would support a frigid cold air mass? Frigid cold temperatures, right?
What is the temperature of the water in the Arctic Circle these day? Enough to maintain a cover of ice? Obviously not. The scientists that consistently measure the Arctic Ocean ice cover record far less ice extent. Where is a Polar Vortex going to get it's frigid air if the Arctic Ocean is melting and there is no ice to support it's temperatures?
One last question for this entry. If the Arctic Ocean ice has melted and no longer supports the Polar Vortex to maintain it's center of circulation, what then will return it to normal?
