This was approved by the FDA? During the Biden Administration the entire idea of hallucinogens in psychiatric therapy was rejected by the FDA for very valid reasons. Using hallucinogens alone for PTSD will not do a darn thing. The science surrounding the use of hallucinogens has to include guided therapy while under the influence of the drug.

The problem is not the drug or it's purity, it is however, the expertise and very inexact science of the psychology of the guided therapy. The therapist needs to know exactly what they are doing and how to achieve it. There are no formal education programs approved by the medical profession. None of it is included in the DSM-5. The DSM-6 is in development but I do not believe the hallucinogen therapy and the qualifications of the therapists are being included there either.

Veterans should not be embarking on an unproven program without the guarantee of benevolent outcomes. The hallucinogen therapy is highly specialized.

The clinical trial, announced last week, will enroll 80 veterans to study the safety and effectiveness of MDMA-assisted therapy to address severe conditions that do not fully respond to standard treatments, according to the VA. The trial began enrolling participants on May 18, and is actively recruiting, according to ClinicalTrials.gov. MDMA stands for methylenedioxymethamphetamine. It is a Schedule I drug, which is illegal under federal law for general use outside of medically supervised, structured clinical trials....
