The Afghan families currently living at Camp As Sayliyah were brought to Qatar by the United States government after being vetted and transported on U.S. government flights. They were told the camp would be a temporary step before relocation to the United States. Today, more than 1,100 Afghan wartime allies and their families remain there as relocation pathways to the United States remain suspended and the facility prepares to close....

...VanDiver (click here) said his understanding of the administration's plan is that the Afghans will be given the choice to voluntarily resettle in Congo or move back to Afghanistan where, he said, they could be targeted by Taliban forces.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

And Rubio stated in his hearing that Trump doesn't care where the refugees go so long as they are nowhere near him in the USA which is to be reserved for white people he approves of.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio (click here) said on Tuesday that no Afghan refugees are currently allowed to enter the United States and that those stranded at Qatar’s Camp As Sayliyah would instead be resettled in other safe countries.

In the same hearing, Senator Chris Coons said that around 1,100 former Afghan colleagues, including 400 children and 150 family members of US service personnel, remain stranded in Qatar.

He warned that these individuals could be sent back to Afghanistan or transferred to countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is currently grappling with the spread of the Ebola virus.

The Democratic senator called on the US Secretary of State to work with Congress to bring these individuals, particularly the family members of US service personnel, to the United States....
