The Democrats have to be prepared to monitor the election in all aspects of the presidential balloting right down the ballot to county clerk. I sincerely believe there is a great deal of corruption that has taken place in these last four years among Republicans.

There is a reason former Secretary Raffensperger is no longer in office in Georgia. He was removed because the Republicans are the last party on Earth that wants a good and honest man making decisions who lives up to his oath of office.

The “Game of 2020” is still in play. While Vice President Harris will be ruling in the Electoral College, the Republicans will proceed to attempt to disrupt and change “the vote” should a Democrat win in November.

Prosecuting wrong doers have meant nothing to the MAGA party, except, to elect a president that remains as corrupt as they see him in order to set those in jail and prison free. Trump is what they believe is their justified liberator. That includes hard core racists who are known to be dangerous men. After they dust themselves off, pick up their bump stock guns, then what? Are they going to be changed men or determined men with their own militias?

These deeply strange problems still exist. Now, through inauguration will be a rough road for the country.

I think Pat Ryan has the most sincere statement.

Joe promised he would only run for one term. I realize the geography is a little scary right now, but, there is a promise to be kept. Others have been preparing during these four years. There are many capable people in the Democratic Party to lead this country. The American people are looking for a capable leader who has confidence in those he lead. I think Joe has to consider those many Democrats that were looking forward to running for president. 

President Biden needs to open his mind and his heart to others in the party that feel differently and may even be hurt by Joe’s broken promise.

What the auroras could do, AI succeeded in doing.

It could be espionage. Probably just AI unable to discern whether the communications belonged in the cloud or on screen.

The Fight Club

I just don’t know why.

Everything according to MAGA is a fight. Next to “That’s unfair,” “fight” has to be a staple in their very vocabulary right next to Amen.

Ya see, Trump is constantly surrendering. He surrenders to China, Russia, and North Korea without a doubt. So, where is the fight?

The best I can tell, the MAGA fight is domestic. We are Trump’s enemies. It is the only fight that makes sense. If Orban is your best friend internationally and he is using Trump to dismantle the USA democracy in the name of PEACE, then the fight certainly isn’t an international focus. The Fight Club of JD and DT is about hate and every other American that isn’t MAGA.

Poor Donald. Life is so unfair.

You have got to be joking. Trump described his encounter with a bullet? He is completely self-absorbed. How many people can’t tell their stories about gun violence. At least one fireman can’t. How many people have PTSD because of gun violence? And instead of discussing gun control, he wants to divide the country and inspire violence as he did on January 6th. How deeply does he hate this country?

He wants vengeance against anyone in the near vicinity because he can’t have vengeance against his would be assassin. Tough to fight a dead man.

Trump is dangerous. He beholding to no one. He used all the RNC money to get this point and now he has what he wants. Everyone is willing to lie for him and do what it takes to put him in office. Trump answers to no one from this point on and everyone answers to him. We have a real problem. No one is standing up to him because he is in control and viewed as a sympathetic figure. What a mess he has created.

I think this is a valid opinion, but, there is a little more to it. 

Vance is no threat to Trump. He is nearly old enough to be president under the constitution. Vance is 39 and the constitution requires 35 years of age. So, from a political standpoint Trump is reaching out to younger generations.

But, Vance is a populous candidate that is mostly wet behind the ears. He is also a social climber, probably from his upbringing , because, “Poor, White, Trash,” as the south calls them will seek to use charisma and sexuality as a method of lifting themselves out of poverty.

However, Vance has a storyline that is mostly notable in the Democratic Party. Hard work, taking education to the level of personal achievement, getting into a profession that mostly allows autonomy in income and financial security, and them wasting no time to move into politics. That is an unusual identity for the golf club/Mar-a-logo types. The RNC is dominated by the elite. So, while, yes, the soul of the USA is on the line this election, this is a paradigm shift for the Republicans, too. 

But, Vance also marketed himself to

The populist he is today and that is attractive to Trump. I would not be surprised if Trump recommended writing that book and making the movie to turn heads in this election. Vance is like the WWF when it comes to voting for the American poor. They have champions, not professions that pay well.

The immaturity of Vance to even qualify as a Vice Presidential candidate is obvious and quite frankly is a worry if such events occur. Vance graduated from Yale, a magnificent university, but, the Yale Grad is more traditionally thought of as a liberal Democrat. The one reason to be a Republican is the potential to a quicker assent to power. A what a quick rise it was.

I sincerely believe he is too immature for the job. He is not qualified to be Vice President, but, neither is Trump to be president, so the two do compliment each other in regard to the voters they attract. I really do believe this pair of candidates are a worry. But, as the opinion below states, they are also racist isolationist that rather destroy the USA since the Mayflower, than relish it.

President Biden

Axios is reporting President Biden could be resigning his presidency, especially with his latest exposure to COVID. 

Joseph R. Biden will be admired no matter his decision. He didn’t have to come out of retirement in order to save the USA from a second term of Trump. That will never be ignored by history. Joe Biden, his great faith in God, and his ability to overcome life’s trials will always be ranked among the great presidents of this country. There are no character flaws.

There are many things the Biden Administration has accomplished that others didn’t, especially with his diverse Cabinet.

Look, Joe, you haven’t really had a real retirement with the beautiful First Lady Jill. I think they both deserve the retirement that was cut short by the country’s need four years ago. 

I trust President Biden above many other politicians in this country and I will trust his decision this time, too.

Water is too warm for the fish. The eagles will look for prey where they find it. This is still another negative feed back loop from the climate crisis.

Cops at RNC convention killed an unhoused man.

Get used to that. Between Trump and his Supreme Court, Americans will be dying on a regular basis. If a person is unhoused and sleeps in the open without permission that means they are utilizing public or private land. The Supremes are saying the unhoused don’t have rights to utilize any property. That type of trespass can be a legal problem. Basically, the unhoused have to keep moving on public thoroughfares. They won’t be tolerated to sleep on the road either.

There will be encampments to protect the common good, followed by riots when they are torn down, the rioters will be killed, and the land left barren. 

This will become the new normal for the unhoused, veteran or no veteran.

To understand Trump’s ill will against the people, realize he and his cohorts are ideologues that plan and currently are dismantling the governments, definitely federal and in some cases, the states. He and those he trusts want the country to be claimed by pilgrims that were here before the Revolutionary War. Governors of the 13 COLONIES were land owners. That also translated into practice during and after the Revolutionary War. Their goal is to never have public land. 

Senator Menendez has overstayed his welcome.

Senator Menendez a brush with these issues before and was able to prove the charges to be wrong. Now, he has gone further to be big and bold. He even involved his wife’s reputation whose hearing is on hold. 

It is time for him to go. The DNC did well in this and nominated a new, fresh face to replace Menendez.

The culture sincerely demands these artifacts. Some, if not all, have real value.

Iran has an assassination plot on Trump.

He needs to take it seriously. He assassinated two Iranian generals. Trump does not conduct himself well. He is not a statesman. World War I was started over the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungry.

Demeanor matters in a president. The last thing the USA needs is a globally rampaging president that abandons allies because of an overdue invoice for membership to NATO.

Trump is crazy. He isn’t fit to be president of this country or even his own company.

J. D. Vance’s story is not unusual.

I listened to a review of Vance’s story. I found it interesting he was born and introduced to poverty in McConnell’s Kentucky. Evidently, when the family moved to Ohio their financial well being changed while still struggling with social issues such as drug addiction. My dearest grandfather was a horrible drunk, but, we loved him just the same. This is not new in the USA. 

I am happy Vance found his path to escape poverty through the opportunity of American freedom, democracy, equality, and public education. He is no different or exceptional than Abraham Lincoln and many, many others.

LIFE IS NOT PERFECT. 

Every immigrant that came to this country, including my grandparents, found a happier life through labor and diligence. Interestingly, those that sought shelter from the storm and worked for a living here in the USA never left. Instead, they had dreams for their children. In the case of my family, every generation did better than the one before. My grandparents labored in the Pennsylvania anthracite coal mines. There was nothing easy about life. But, their children finished a public school education, some served in the military, married and went on to live the American Dream, as did their children and their grandchildren. 

There is nothing new here, except, someone wrote a book and made a movie and raked in money. Vance’s story is not new, but, simply glamorized, and now are Putin’s hope for an American autocracy.

Putin assassinated Alexy Navalny and poisoned so many others trying to escape his tyranny. Where do these Russians get off?

Senator Sherrod Brown

I have been donating to Senator Brown’s campaign for some time now because I knew what was going to happen here.

Senator Sherrod Brown is a magnificent senator serving the people of Ohio. Senator Brown has stood strong in protecting Ohio’s labor force. Of course everyone knows a strong labor force means intact families. 

The people of Ohio deserve at least one Senator that doesn’t leave in mid-term for greater ambitions. Senator Brown has been loyal to Ohio and it shows. 

I said I knew Trump would chose Vance as his running mate to cause chaos in the Ohio Senate race, but, I didn’t say exactly which candidate it would cause chaos with.

Ohio doesn’t need extremism in Washington. Ohio has a winning Senator with Sherrod Brown and these days it is best to know the outcome without doubt.

Go, Sherrod, go.

Should Americans be concerned about Trump's post concussion following bullet wound?

Objective: Labyrinthine concussion (click here) due to a postauricular gunshot wound has not been well reported. 

Design: Retrospective chart review. 

Study sample: We describe an otherwise healthy 22-year-old male who received a gunshot wound to the left mastoid and subsequently reported hearing loss and rotational vertigo. Results: Audiometric testing demonstrated significant inverted scoop shaped sensorineural hearing loss. Vestibular diagnostic testing indicated a significant uncompensated left peripheral vestibulopathy. Imaging demonstrated no structural changes to the middle ear or labyrinth, suggesting that the auditory and vestibular losses noted on diagnostic examination were likely due to labyrinthine concussion. Conclusions: Labyrinthine concussion may lead to reduced vestibular reflex pathway following gunshot wounds to the temporal bone. Clinical presentation is likely to vary significantly among cases.

What occurred Saturday with the former president is not a minor injury. 

The brain is all soft and delicate tissue. Any form of significant concussive force will result in some sort of brain trauma. Ask some veterans who have experienced such events and have come away with loss of capacity. This isn't necessarily a disabling incident, but, it could be an injury that should be far more concerning than simply a skined knee.

Muzzle velocity of a bullet fired from a military style weapons travels at approximately 1600 mph. The air and ear were disturbed by this projectile. Another man is dead and two other people are injured. None of these injuries are minor and concussion from such an injury is nothing to ignore.

I won’t be watching it. I don’t care to hear about priorities of hate, violence, and oppression of women.

She is breaking the law. The appointment of Jack Smith is overwhelmingly constitutional.

IF President Biden appointed Jack Smith the appointment would have to go to the USA Senate for approval.

HOWEVER.

Jack Smith was not appointed by the President. Jack Smith, the highly competent prosecutor, was appointed by the Attorney General.

Merrick Garland absolutely and without a doubt has the right and RESPONSIBILITY to assign a Special prosecutor to cases the Attorney General finds merit one.

One has to realize not every investigation has to have presidential approval. What if the president while in office broke the law and conspired to break more? The AG would be required to investigate and bring charges as appropriate. Those investigators would be required to remain non-partisan and return the truth to determine the next step if any.

Regardless of the Supreme Court’s (loosely called) decision there are still laws that if broken require charges, court hearings, and sentencing. So, the right of the Attorney General to call in a prosecutor is more than appropriate, regardless of the power of Congress to impeach.

Bannon is corrupt and corrupting. At the very least she requires an ethics review.

If only every American’s mind was open to that message we would find our lives peaceful and without fear. 

This past year I made sure I was living in a neighborhood where only appropriate measures were necessary, like locking the car door and doors to the house. Most of the time I don’t worry about latching the windows unless the weather outside is harsh.

If every American sought peace in their neighborhoods and lived without fear of the other, our quality of life would improve without the stress of threats looming over us. It is my sincere wish every child in this country could grow up without fear or violence. 

I thank President Biden for his words of encouragement this evening. It just takes a leap of faith to change the threat of violence. An act of trust by every American could change the way we see each other and the way we live. 

Set goals to live in the world of peace and safety and not accept anything short of it.

I love the USA. Freedom without fear should be our way of life.

Not quite a month ago, Vice Admiral Dr. Vivek H. Murthy declared gun violence a public health crisis.

A demoralizing day for the USA

Whenever something as terrible as this gun violence occurs other Americans at home and abroad are effected in ways that can’t be measured. I can only imagine what every shooting victim in the USA is feeling today. How many PTSD calls are occurring today. These athletes are world class, their coaches pour their hearts into the moment that only comes every four years when all their hard work brings home an Olympic metal. 

I, for one, have had enough of this mess and demand DOMESTIC PEACE within my country without interruption by the next stupid round of unpredictable violence!
